Jay's POV (continued)
The room erupted in cheers and whistles. Ci-n was clapping like a maniac, while Felix shouted, "Finally! Section E's lovebirds are official!"
My face burned hotter than the summer sun. I wanted to disappear into the floor, but Keifer's hand was still gripping mine tightly. His eyes locked on mine, and for a second, the noise around us faded.
"Jay," he whispered, almost too soft for anyone else to hear, "I don't care if they're watching. I just want you to know… I meant that."
My heart skipped. I didn't know what to say, so I just nodded, trying to hide the stupid smile forming on my lips.
David rolled his eyes and muttered, "Tch, dramatic." But I caught the flicker of sadness in his expression.
Before the tension could grow heavier, Calix jumped in, "Alright, alright! Enough romance. Next round!" He spun the bottle again, and this time it landed on Keifer.
Everyone leaned forward, waiting.
"Truth or dare?" Edrix asked with a mischievous grin.
Keifer smirked. "Dare."
Felix immediately shouted, "I dare you to carry Jay bridal-style around the whole house!"
The entire Section E burst into laughter. My jaw dropped. "WHAT?!"
Keifer didn't hesitate. He scooped me up effortlessly, ignoring my protests, and started walking around the living room. My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, and the teasing from our classmates grew louder.
"Careful, don't drop your princess!" Ci-n sang again, making everyone laugh harder.
I buried my face in Keifer's shoulder, wishing the night would end already… but deep down, I couldn't deny how safe and warm it felt being in his arms.
