Jay's POV
The bonfire game had started lighthearted, but the tension between Keifer and David was impossible to ignore. Every time the bottle spun, I prayed it wouldn't land on either of them.
But fate had other plans.
The bottle stopped, pointing straight at David. Ci-n grinned, "Truth or dare?"
David's eyes flicked to me, then to Keifer. "Truth," he said flatly.
Felix leaned forward. "Okay… who do you like in Section E?"
The group erupted in laughter and teasing, but David's answer silenced everyone. "Jay."
My heart stopped.
Keifer's POV
The moment David said her name, I felt fire in my chest. I couldn't hold back anymore.
"Enough," I snapped, standing up. "Stop dragging her into this."
David rose too, his voice sharp. "Why? Afraid she'll choose me instead?"
The group gasped. Ci-n muttered, "Ohhh, it's happening…"
I stepped closer, fists clenched. "Jay already chose. You're just bitter."
David's glare cut through me. "You don't deserve her."
David's POV
I didn't care if everyone was watching. I couldn't stand Keifer acting like Jay was his possession.
"You think you're better for her? You're reckless, Keifer. You'll hurt her."
Keifer's jaw tightened. "At least I'm not a coward who hides his feelings until it's too late."
The fire crackled louder, the waves roared, and suddenly it felt like the whole world was watching us fight for Jay.
Jay's POV
I wanted to scream, to stop them, but my voice was trapped. Section E sat frozen, unsure whether to intervene.
Finally, I stood between them, my hands shaking. "Stop it! Both of you!"
Keifer and David glared at each other over my shoulder, but neither moved.
The storm wasn't over. It had only begun.
