Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 – When Storms Collide

Len didn't move.

The glowing system warning still floated in front of his eyes, its pale blue light reflecting in the tense air:

[Fate Thread Entanglement: 92%]

[Warning: Emotional Conflict Trigger: Active]

Outside, the London night was silent…

but inside that small apartment—

it felt like the world was splitting in two.

Aira stood on the left.

Rina on the right.

Both motionless, like two blades drawn at dawn.

Len stood between them,

and even his heartbeat sounded too loud.

Aira Spoke First

Her voice was soft—

the kind of soft that comes before a storm.

"Len… you don't have to explain anything."

Her eyes were warm, but her aura said something else:

fear…

insecurity…

something she didn't want to show.

Rina's fingers tightened.

"Don't pretend you're protecting him," she said, her tone sharp but tired.

"You don't even know what promise he ran away from."

Aira flinched.

But she held her ground.

"I know he's hurting.

I know he's haunted.

And that's enough."

Rina's expression remained blank, but her eyes…

there was a storm inside.

Len Raised a Hand

"Enough. Please… stop."

Just two words.

But both girls froze, as if he had cut through the tension with a knife.

Len's voice trembled, even though he tried to steady it.

"You're both fighting over things I don't even remember.

How is that fair?"

Silence.

Painful.

Raw.

Heavy.

Rina Walked Toward Him

Slow.

Measured.

Every step loaded with a thousand unsaid emotions.

When she stood in front of him, her gaze locked with his.

No hatred.

No anger.

Just heartbreak.

"Len… you promised me something before you vanished from our world."

Len's chest tightened.

"What promise…?"

Rina exhaled shakily.

"…that even if fate tore us apart…

you would recognize me before anyone else."

Aira's eyes widened.

Her breath caught.

Len felt something break inside him—

a seal, a memory, a wound he didn't know he carried.

The system flickered:

[Emotional Trauma Detected]

The Memory Sphere Appeared

A faint blue orb materialized between Rina's hands.

Not dangerous—

but powerful.

Aira instinctively stepped in front of Len.

"Stay back. Whatever that is—"

"Memory."

Rina whispered.

"His memory."

The orb flickered.

Two silhouettes.

A young boy.

A young girl.

Standing under a broken sky.

Holding hands.

The scene vanished instantly,

but its weight punched Len in the chest like a hammer.

His knees weakened.

Aira grabbed his arm to steady him.

Rina's voice softened—almost breaking.

"You disappeared, Len."

"And when you did… everything around me fell apart."

Aira clenched her teeth, but she listened silently.

The Storm Inside Len Finally Broke

"If I truly made you a promise…

then why can't I remember any of it?"

He looked helpless.

Broken.

Afraid.

For the first time, Rina stepped closer not as someone claiming something…

but as someone who had lost something precious.

"Because the world you're in now… isn't the first world you lived in."

Aira gasped.

Len's heart almost stopped.

The system glowed violently—

[Past Identity Reconstruction: 63%]

[Warning: Ancestral World Sync Beginning]

Pressure slammed into his chest, forcing him down to one knee.

Aira panicked.

"Len! LEN! Hey, stay with me—"

Rina knelt beside him too.

"It's okay. This pain is temporary.

But your truth… isn't."

Len's Vision Blurred

He saw flames.

A war.

A broken temple.

A girl crying his name…

Rina?

And a hand reaching for him through the fire.

Then everything vanished.

He gasped for air.

Aira held his face gently.

"Don't force yourself. I'm right here."

Rina placed her hand on his shoulder.

"And so am I. After all this time."

Two voices.

Two anchors.

Two storms.

Len felt like he'd drown between them.

The system flashed again:

[Fate Entanglement Rising: 97%]

[Storm Event: Imminent]

Lightning cracked across the London sky.

Aira stood.

Her expression had changed—

fear replaced by determination.

"Rina… if his past hurts him,

then I'll protect his present."

Rina stood too, facing her head-on.

"And if his present blinds him…

I'll remind him of his past."

Len looked at them—

two worlds pulling him apart.

He whispered:

"Why… why does it feel like choosing either of you…

will destroy the other?"

Neither answered.

Because both already knew the truth.

The storm had arrived.

And Len was at the center.
