"Yeah, my boyfriend and I used to come here a lot." Andy stated again, his hand reaching for another cookie.
Ashley took off her glasses and placed them on the table, she rubbed the bridge of her nose slightly.
"Andy...." she called out.
"Yeah?." He replied.
"Are you gay?" She asked him, her gaze locked onto his eyes.
"No, I'm as straight as a line Ms Ashley." He started, grabbing another cookie from the bowl.
Ashley let out a sigh of relief as she relaxed her shoulders. "Oh thank God."
She muttered to herself.
"What?" Andy asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.
"Nothing just.... anyway. When is our food getting here, im starving." She changes the topic immediately
Andy raised his eyebrow slightly, he wanted to question it but the sound of his empty stomach overpowered his judgement.
"Now that you mention it....." he stated as he started getting up.
Claire and Ruth burst out of the kitchen carrying plates of food.
Andy sat back down and clapped his hands together.
"Finally, I was starving like hell." Andy stated as Ruth placed his orders on the table.
Andy ordered a plate of golden brown pancakes topped off with some blue berries and honey.
The second plate was pasta and chicken mixed together with potato salads on the side with a latte.
For Ashley, she was given a four layered sandwich that towered over her as she sat, the cheesy mess dripping on her plate, together with a booba.
"I hope you enjoy your food, and be sure to tip the waiters for their excellent service."
Claire stated as she pulled Ruth back.
"Oh, this is....alot. I didn't expect it to be this large."
Ashley stated as she grabbed a slice and divided it.
"Sorry I didn't warn you earlier." Andy states as he grabs a fork and starts eating.
Andy was a messy eater, that Ashley knew because of all the discarded leftover food in his office.
But the way he was eating now just proved her claim further.
He was sloppy, dripping honey all over his shirt and pants.
Ashley paused for a bit as she watched him, she looked at her own meal then back at him.
"What?. Is something on my face?" Andy asked as honey and berry juice was smeared on his right cheek.
Ashley just smiled at him, "No, you're good." She stated as she bit down on her meal.
Her eyes widened at how good it was, she hadn't expected this at all from such a small establishment.
"Oh wow.....t-this is r-really g-good." Ashley muttered as some food escaped her mouth.
"I knew you'd like it." Andy stated as they both ate their meals.
Andys felt his phone ring in his pocket, he grabbed it with his other hand and answered while stuffing his face.
"H-herro?" He muttered, his words slurred by the food he was eating.
"Boss this is umm....Marie speaking..." She said, her voice sounding tired and labored.
"Oh Marie, did Rumi give you my number?" He asked as he kept eating.
"Oh.... y-yeah she did, umm Andy Ms Jade called and said she....ouch stop biting me that hard it hurts." Marie said through the phone.
"Marie, is everything alright cause you sound a bit busy if I do say so myself." Andy stated, chuckling slightly.
"No, just.... Ms Jade wants you back at the office...she didn't say why, she just told me she needed you back, right now."
Marie stated, her tone shifting a bit with each sentence.
"Got it." Andy stated, placing one more pancake into his mouth, "you enjoy yourself now."
"Shut up....ouch I said stop bitting me you brute!." Marie shouted as a loud yelp was heard in the background as the call cut.
Andy places his phone on the table and continues eating.
"Who called?" Ashley asked as she kept eating.
"That was Marie, she said I needed to be back at the office ASAP. She said that Ms Jade wanted me."
Andy stated as he stuffed his face with the remaining pancakes..
Ashley doesn't say anything about the news, she simply groans and demands for a take away.
Andy manages to finish his plate and asks for a take away as well.
Claire arrives at their table and wraps their food up.
"All ready to go, your bill will be 50 dollars." She started with a smile.
"No problemo." Andy stated as he reached into his pocket, trying to find his wallet.
"Huh, it must be in my other ...." he checks both his pockets, but finds nothing.
"Shit, I don't know where my wallet is...." he stated. Claire just shook her slightly.
"I thought you grew out of that stupidity, but I was wrong."
She stated as she flickered her finger on his forehead.
"Relax, I'll pay for the meals." Ashley stated as she pulled out a band of cash from her jacket.
"Here you go and you can keep the rest as a tip." She stated as she handed over the money to Claire.
Claire's eyes swelled up with tears as she took the money, "thank you ma'am."
She stated as she ran back towards the kitchen.
"That was generous." Andy stated.
"Come on. Let's go before Jade decides to fire you." She stated as she grabbed her food.
"Youre joking right.....right? Ms Ashley??". Andy asked, but all Ashley gave him was a smile as she walked out.
Andy grabbed his food and followed close behind. Claire grabbed his sleeve and stopped him.
"Claire, do you need something?" He asked, gaze flickering towards the door.
"Andy, make sure you treat her right. She's a keeper."
Claire told him as she pushed him out.
"Wait what?" He asked but he was already outside.
He rushed towards the limo and entered, it took off immediately.
9 : 30 am....
Ashley had dropped Andy off by the building, she said she was going to get something important that she'll need later.
"Have fun Mr Matthews." She stated as the limo drove off.
Andy rushed inside, the building was already packed with clients lined up.
Andy took the elevator and immediately pushed the bottom for the top floor. He looked at his attire and grumbled.
"Damn, I'm a mess." He uttered but he didn't have time to clean up.
The top floor was quiet as always, he made his way towards Jade's office, he paused at the door and slowly opened it.
Inside was dark and somehow well decorated with pristine dark marble.
Jade was seated by her desk, her back facing Andy.
"Sit Mr Matthews." She started without even looking at him.
"How did she know it was me? I barely said anything."
He asked himself as he made his way towards the leopard print couch.
The moment Andy's body made contact with the fabric, Jade spun around instantly. Stopping right in front of him.
"Andy Matthews...You are Fired." She started with a cold and calm tone.
Andy felt all the color leave his body upon hearing those words.
"Excuse me?." He muttered as he couldn't believe it.
