A Few Days Later – Settling Tensions
A few days passed after the courtyard incident, and things began to calm down gradually.
Jay tried to reconnect with Shion. At first, Shion avoided long conversations, but with Jay's persistence and sincere words, softly saying:
Jay: "Distance melts away..."
Shion slowly returned to her usual gentle, smiling tone, finally surrendering to the warmth of her friend. She said quietly:
Shion: "Alright... I've forgotten what happened."
A wide, relieved smile spread across Jay's face. Shion, in turn, felt a weight lift from her heart—their friendship was finding its rhythm again.
Meanwhile, Shiyoung, after much reflection, decided to put his conflict with Max behind him. By chance, he ran into him in one of the corridors and stopped, face serious.
Shiyoung: "What happened... is over. Let's start a new page."
Max raised his eyebrows with a slight smile, then grinned:
Max: "Alright... a new page."
But inside, Max was laughing, hiding a plan much bigger than it seemed.
One evening, Max approached Shiyoung, offering him a job at a small shop that needed workers.
Shiyoung hesitated, remembering all of Max's previous tricks, but in the end, he agreed, as if wanting to give him a second chance.
Max smiled and patted him on the shoulder:
Max: "Good choice... you'll see for yourself."
Later, Jay finally convinced Shion to work with her at the same shop. When Shion smiled quietly and agreed, Jay felt a reassuring sense of safety.
In a fleeting moment among the students, Jay sent Max a subtle signal from afar. She gave him a small, sly smile, and he returned it. Max immediately caught the message—just that glance was enough to say:
Max: "The plan worked."
