The Courtyard – Confrontation Cools Down
Some students stepped in between Shiyoung and Max, preventing the situation from escalating further. Voices rose all around, trying to convince both of them to stop.
The atmosphere remained tense, but after a few moments of resistance, Shiyoung began to regain his composure slowly.
He exhaled deeply, then looked at Max with burning eyes, speaking with quiet determination:
Shiyoung: "Enough... I'll settle this."
A short silence fell. Everyone thought the confrontation was over. Some students breathed a sigh of relief; others smiled, imagining the conflict had finally cooled.
But Max wasn't going to let things settle so easily.
He gave a sly sideways smile, stepped a little closer, and whispered loud enough for Shiyoung and those nearby to hear:
Max: "By the way... I really enjoyed last night, didn't I?"
The mischievous grin on his face was enough to ignite all the anger Shiyoung had tried to suppress.
His eyes widened, his fists trembled again, and his chest heaved with rising tension.
The students around them stared in shock, realizing the spark had reignited.
But suddenly, Shiyoung closed his eyes for a few seconds, took a deep breath, and opened them with unexpected coldness.
He took a step toward Max, looked him straight in the eyes, and spoke in a calm yet razor-sharp voice:
Shiyoung: "I won't let you enjoy breaking me... your day will come, Max."
Then he turned and walked away, leaving the courtyard in stunned silence. Some students whispered in admiration at his self-control.
Max stayed in place, still laughing, but his smile held a brief flicker of unease that only a few noticed.
