At the University
After the class ended, the two girls walked out into the university courtyard. Jay sat down on a wooden bench, still stunned, and turned to her friend.
Jay: "Shion... do you realize what you did? You actually hit Shiyoung himself!"
Shion (calmly, staring at the ground): "He crossed the line... I couldn't stay silent."
Jay (her voice mixed with fear): "But you're not that kind of person! You usually avoid trouble even when someone annoys you. Where did all that courage come from?"
Shion (sighing): "I don't know... maybe I just got tired of staying silent."
Jay kept looking at her with worry. She knew that what had happened wouldn't pass easily—Shiyoung wouldn't forget it.
As for Shion, she tried to act indifferent, even though inside her there was a strange mix of anxiety, tension... and a small sense of pride she was feeling for the first time.
