A/N: This chapter takes place at the same time as Chapter 9 on the evening but with different people
Kaguya POV
It's 6pm and I am currently in the karaoke area along with Miyuki-kun, Lelouch-kun, Kururugi-kun, Kei-kun. Oreki-kun, Sora-kun, and Shiro-san. We are all currently playing chess with each of us having brought three chessboards. We all agreed to have a friendly competition to see if which one of us can defeat the other in a first to 5 where whoever wins 5 games of chess first will win and the loser will have to pay with the points they bet. I'm paired up against Lelouch-kun, Miyuki-kun is up against Kei-kun, and Sora-kun is up against his own sibling. While Kururugi-kun and Oreki-kun are watching.
Kururugi-kun wanted to join in but he didn't want to bet his own points. Understandable that he's saving points, but he is somewhat disappointed that points were on the line for our little game but Lelouch-kun assured him that he'll play with him with no points on the line. I've never played much chess before but once I got a grasp on the rules, I was able to learn the game very quickly. The score is currently 4-3 in Lelouch's favor, but I was slowly catching after 2 wins after being at 1 point and now puts me at 3 points.
"Not bad Kaguya, you're quite the quick learner despite never playing chess this much" he said
"Well thank you, it was quite easy to figure the rules out, so I was able to do well" I said. Lelouch is very skilled in chess I must admit.
"BUT HOW!?!" I heard a loud shout, and it was my boyfriend Miyuki-kun. Guess he lost a game or two.
"Ohh did I win?"
"What happened Miyuki-kun?" I asked
"Kei-san beat me 5-1 in his favor" 5-1? that was unexpected, I know Miyuki-kun is smart and all but to be beaten this decisively is quite impressive. I also noticed that Kei-kun was looking at his tablet while playing. Wait? did he seriously beat Miyuki-kun while looking at his tablet? Just how good is he?
"Really? you lost that bad?" I asked
"Oi! what now Shirogane-san? do you want a rematch?" Kei-kun said with a smile
"Fine, I'll bet 25,000 this time!" he said, ara ara, it looks like he's getting a bit competitive now.
"Alright then, but I hope you put up a good fight this time. I wouldn't want to embarrass you in front of your girlfriend" I suddenly blushed at that statement.
"Huh? what do you mean?" Miyuki-kun asked
"It's quite obvious that you two are dating, c'mon you think we're too dumb to notice" I got redder while Miyuki-kun is also starting to get red himself.
"I-I uggh"
"Yes, we are dating" I said
"I mean were we too obvious?"
"Yes, you were" Oreki-kun said
While I was composing myself, it seems that Sora-kun and Shiro-san's game is over. Shiro-san beat Sora-kun 5-4. That is a close match for sure.
"Anyways, Kei-kun what's with the tablet?" I finally asked
"Ohh this? let's say that it contains information of every student from the first years in every class"
"Wait really?" Sora-kun joined in.
"When did you get such information?" Kururugi-kun asked
"I bought them from the teachers"
"That must've cost a lot of points if you are planning get information like that" Lelouch-kun said.
"Yes, I did but don't worry I used the points from the bank and a bit of Oreki-san's points as well."
"I see and you have information on every student from the first years?"
"Exactly!" Kei-kun said
"Wow, then that means with this information, we can know about the student's individual stats" Miyuki-kun said.
"Yes, and as you can see" Kei-kun was swiping his fingers on the tablet with the information of every student who are currently in their first years.
"So is there anyone we should watch out for aside from the few we know?" Kururugi-kun asked
"While we already have information on the likes of Ryuen and Sakayanagi, I think learning about the rest of the students from their respective classes are also important" Lelouch-kun said
"That's right but most of the students aren't as interesting aside from people like Albert from Class C, Sudo from Class D, and Kito Hayato from Class A."
"But there are a few students that caught my eye"
"Really? who are they" Miyuki-kun asked
"Well" Kei-kun pushed some buttons on the tablet and swiped the screen to reveal the student he was looking for.
"First is this student from Class D" he said while pointing at the screen of the tablet.
"His name is Koenji Rokusuke"
"Wait did you say Koenji? as in THE Koenji?" I asked with a hint of shock.
"Hmm? is something wrong Kaguya-san?" Miyuki-kun was puzzled at my reaction.
"I can't believe the heir to my family's rival is here"
"Wait a second, rival? what do you mean?" Sora-kun asked also looking puzzled.
"Well you see, the name Koenji is the same name as the conglomerate that he came from"
"Wait you're saying he's from a powerful family like you?" Miyuki-kun asked
I sighed knowing that narcissist himself is actually here in ANHS
"Yes, he is. Both the Shinomiya's and the Koenji's are rivals in Japan due to both their powerful influence over the country."
"My parents told me that the heir to the Koenji conglomerate is as intelligent and athletically gifted, but they also told me that he's very narcissistic. Even calling himself the "perfect existence"." My tone annoyed at this point just thinking about him.
"You sound annoyed by him, is he really that narcissistic?" Kei-kun questioned 1
I sighed and answered "yes he is"
"Wait I've seen him before, he's that blonde guy who we saw when we visited Class D's room" Sora-kun said as he looked at the tablet that Kei-kun was holding.
"Yes, it is him" Shiro-san said while sitting on Sora-kun's shoulder
"He seems quite interesting; you think he's a challenge for us?"
"We can't say for sure, but we should not let our guard down" Lelouch said
"Also, there is another information about another student from Class D that for some reason Chabashira-sensei wouldn't sell me"
"Wait what do you mean?" I asked
"Well, she told us that this information is redacted, and she wouldn't reveal it to us" Oreki-kun said.
"But why though? I mean in this school, we can buy ANYTHING right? So why can't we get that information?" Miyuki-kun asked
"I don't know but that's the answer that I'm trying to figure out"
"Although the only information about this student that he's male as well as his name"
"Then who is it?" Kururugi-kun joined in
"It says Daigo Haru"
"Wait I've never heard of him before" I said
"Yeah, he's also from Class D but why is his information even hidden and why would Chabashira-sensei even hide it from us?" Kei-kun asked
"Well, whoever he is, if he's someone from Class D then he must be a defective like the rest, right?" Miyuki-kun questioned
"We can't say for certain, but we should keep an eye on him whoever he is"
All of us were a bit puzzled by this mystery student, but for now we all agreed that we need to find out who this mystery student is. We all said our goodbyes and went to our dorms, but I can't shake this uneasy feeling of who he is.
