Ayanokouji POV
After all of the events that have occurred. We went on with our lives as if nothing has happened. Me and Katagiri were walking back to our dorms just having a normal conversation. Until a girl's voice called out to me.
"Ayanokouji-kun!" I looked over my shoulder and it was Kushida. Ohh right, I accepted her help in befriending Horikita. I said I didn't want to help but I did wonder if she could also be useful to me like Horikita. Then I would've added another tool to my arsenal. Which is why I accepted her help and assessing her behavior and how she works.
"Hey, you're Kushida right?" said Katagiri who was beside me.
"Yes, and you must be Katagiri-kun right?" she said with a nervous tone. I guess with Katagiri's little display back there in Class D must've scared her a bit. I still wonder though. Why is Katagiri this friendly but suddenly changes his entire demeanor? Like some switch that was flipped and changed him to a different person.
"Yeah, sorry about my behavior last time. I just got carried away, that's all" said while scratching the back of his head.
"It's fine, anyways Ayanokouji-kun could you join me in finding Horikita-san? I really want to befriend her and yet she's always distancing herself, could you do something about that?" she asked
"Sorry but I have to decline, I'm quite busy actually" I said
"But I really do need your help, please Ayanokouji-kun!" she begged trying to give me the puppy eyes, guilt-tripping doesn't affect me but either way I just answered.
"Alright, the least I could do is give you some advice"
"Ok what is it?" Kushida asked
"Try to ask her what she likes and also try to understand her a as a person. There you can have at least a comprehensive idea of her." I said, normally I'm not big on socializing but I think this is what people do when they're trying to make friends.
"Is that it? ok then, thanks again anyways Ayanokouji-kun" she said with a smile as she ran off. As I plan to continue with my walk, Katagiri spoke.
"Something about her feels off" he said.
"What do you mean?" I stared at him questioning him about it.
"I don't know but, I have a feeling that even though she sounds and looks nice, I know that there's more to her than meets the eye" Hold on, does Katagiri know something about her that I've yet to discover?
"Well, she is nice don't get me wrong but what's wrong about her?"
"Just a gut feeling, but I think she might be hiding something"
"Maybe but we can't say for sure"
"Your right but I might need to keep an eye on her, is that alright with you Ayanokouji?"
"No problem, do what you want" I said as we walked back to our dorms.

I'm currently in my room just lying-in bed thinking what my next move should be as suddenly the door opened and it was that boy that claimed leadership of Class S. Shinomiya Kei. I wonder what he wants at a time like this?
"Hey Ayanokouji-san" he greeted as I sat upward from my bed.
"What do you want Kei?" I asked him
"Ohh nothing much, is it alright if you accompany me for a walk?" he asked while smiling, I wonder what his motives are?
Shinomiya Kei, he considers himself a genius and that is factual. He's as friendly and approachable as the others but at the same time he's quite arrogant and would sometimes lie from time to time. He's one of the more difficult students for me to read because even though his intentions are clear, he turns around and just has another motive that would blind-side anyone. He's tricky for sure and his physical capabilities are no joke. One time while seeing one of his practices in the basketball club, I saw him easily outrun multiple students and even outrunning Sudo who was from Class D who I heard is also good at basketball.1
Anyways I accepted and it is currently evening as we walked around the place.
"So why did you ask me to walk with you?" I asked
"Actually, I just wanted ask a few questions" ohh great this ought to be good.
"So, what do you want to ask?"
"That girl with a cane from Class A, Sakayanagi, was it? Why did she call you a false genius?" he asked, to be honest I don't know the answer myself.
"I have no idea, but I must've had a history with her and somehow couldn't recall"
"I see...I mean imagine someone like her walking up to me and calling me a "false genius", I would've proven her wrong in more ways than one" Kei said with an arrogant sounding tone.
As we walked, we stopped as Kei decides to buy something from the vending machine. While everything was quiet and peaceful. That silence broke as we both heard a voice.
"Suzune I didn't expect you to follow me"
Kei and I both looked at each other and decided to investigate as we looked and hid behind the corner as we saw someone.
"Wait isn't that the student council president?" he asked
"Must be"
We looked at the situation before us as I also noticed someone familiar. It was Horikita.
"Nii-san I came here so that I can catch up to you"
Kei looked back at me and whispered "Nii-san? she's the president's sister?"
"Looks like it"
We continue to conceal ourselves as we listened to their conversation.
"Catch up?"
"You still haven't even realized your own shortcomings and yet you speak of catching up to me?
"You're a fool to even choose this school Suzune" the president said
"Ouch! that's harsh" Kei muttered
"I'll reach Class A; I can promise you that, and when I do-"
"Impossible"
"I will make it, somehow" she said lowly.
This is my first-time seeing Horikita like this
"You still don't understand, don't you?" he said as he suddenly grabbed Horikita's wrist and driving her hand to the wall.
"Well, this is getting interesting" Kei whispered
"I had to bear the shame of having my little sister assigned to Class D"
"Leave this school"
"You don't have what it takes to aim for something higher"
"You must learn..."
It looks like this brother of hers is really going to hurt her. Even though I wouldn't help my enemy, doesn't mean I should let her be destroyed already, besides this means that I can't find use in someone who's already been broken down and humiliated. So, I immediately went to him and grabbed his hand.
"Ayanokouji-kun?"
"You were really going to do it, weren't you?
"Let her go"
"Please don't, Ayanokouji-kun"
She's shown bit of weakness the way she talks. I've never heard her speak like this. Then suddenly he struck back.
He tried to hit me with a backhand, but I dodged it quickly then he went for a strong kick which I also managed to dodge quickly as well
'Close one' I thought
Then he struck back, I knew I was stronger than him, but I didn't want strike back and injure him, so I simply blocked his next move with ease
As I did, I managed to push him back as he went to a cautious stance.
"Impressive, do you practice something?" he asked
"Piano and Calligraphy" I answered
"I get it now; you must be one of the students from Class S if I'm not mistaken"
"I heard there were some students who managed to get 100 in every subject and the quiz from the other day"
"You intrigue me"
"Well then that was an amusing show you two put on"
We both looked at the person who was speaking, it was Kei himself who came out from the corner.
"You're with him?" he asked Kei obviously pointing towards me.
"Yes Mr. President, I am one of those students as well who got 100 in every subject, as well as the quiz. In short, I'm also from Class S"
"I see" he said while adjusting his glasses
'You're both unique I can tell"
"Suzune"
"Huh?"
"I'm surprised you've made friends, very interesting friends" he said
"They're not my friends, they're just people that I know"
"Once again you've mistaken isolation for independence. If you want to reach a higher class, then struggle with everything you have to reach your goal" he said as he walked away.
After a minute of silence, Kei spoke.
"Piano and Calligraphy huh? What an interesting lie you made up there Ayanokouji-san"
"It's not a lie, I really do practice piano and calligraphy. As well as tea ceremony. Besides he asked about what I practiced instead of asking how I learn to fight"
"Ohhhhh that makes sense now" he said in a somewhat sarcastic tone, wait did he only say that I was lying just to see if I really was lying? he really is quite difficult.
"You're impressive I have to admit" Horikita spoke up as she joined the conversation.
"But I don't get, did you really get a 100 in every subject in the entrance exam?"
"Yes, anyways I'd like to ask you if you manage to find an ally"
"I haven't besides I tried using this idea of having a study group, but I'd rather have those failures get expelled and keeping the better students"
"It doesn't matter to me who gets expelled, it will be easier for me to rise up quicker"
"That's all I wanted"
"Hey, are you sure you're thinking about it the wrong way? Kei asked
"I mean someone like you can make sacrifices, but the question is....."
"You think it's a worthwhile sacrifice?"
"eh?" Horikita looked at Kei with a bit of confusion.
"I mean yes getting rid of garbage is the easiest solution, but it's not fun for me if you get rid of everyone this soon."
"You'd be losing to our class instantly if any of you defectives don't put up a fight." he said as Horikita immediately glared at him.
"What did you say?"
"I'm just stating the truth, I mean is your class even capable of even passing against another class? of course not, we'd rather have strong opponents that we can defeat rather than an easy one."
"A genius such as I would be bored to death if there isn't any challenge that can satisfy me"
"So do me a favor and try to help that sinking ship that is your class" he said as he just walked off, guess this means he's done with our little walk. I looked at his direction and Horikita then spoke.
"What's with him?" Horikita asked me
"I don't know but, something tells me that...."
"He might be more dangerous than he looks"
