CHAPTER 38: YOUR NIGHTMARE
I screamed and stumbled backwards Immediately.
"Down!" Dominic shouted as he grabbed me roughly and pulled me behind one of the metal barriers.
People around the park erupted into chaos. Some screamed while others ran in every direction.
"Sniper!" Dominic barked into his phone. "Everyone move!"
A mother grabbed her child and ran past us crying while security alarms started ringing through the park. Somewhere in the distance, people were shouting for help.
My hands were shaking violently as I stared at Victoria's body lying motionless on the ground, blood slowly spreading beneath her head.
"Oh my God…" My voice trembled. "Oh my God…"
I couldn't stop staring. Just seconds ago she was talking. Breathing. Looking terrified.
Now she was dead.
Dominic crouched in front of me and held my shoulders tightly. "Aria look at me."
I forced my eyes toward him.
"Are you hit?" He asked urgently, quickly checking my arms and waist for blood.
