CHAPTER 41: PLAN A
Julian walked to the door carefully with a bat in his hand for safety, if there's danger at the door.
Elena stood behind him nervously, clutching his shirt tightly.
"Julian… be careful." She whispered shakily.
"I know." He muttered under his breath. "Stay behind me."
The doorbell rang again.
Julian tightened his grip around the bat and slowly approached the door. His breathing became uneven as he reached for the knob.
He held the door knob slowly and opened the door and raised the bat to hit the person at the door but stopped when he saw the person.
It was Dominic. He looked stunned at Julian's reaction and could not help it but laughed.
"What are you scared of?" Dominic asked with amusement. "I wish Aria was here with me now to see the look on your face?"
Julian exhaled heavily and lowered the bat. "Damn it, Dominic." He placed a hand over his chest dramatically. "You almost gave me a heart attack."
