William and Leyla were back in the streets, YAY!!!
They were walking towards a deserted area where they could train. Seeing Adam and Silver being so powerful motivated them to become stronger too.
At last, when they reached the ruins of the empty side of the city, William smiled down at Leyla as he took off his black sweater.
''We should seriously consider learning other powers…'' he chuckled softly.
Magic could be used by anyone in the universe… except from Earth for some reason…
The God or Goddess you worship the most gives you the wide capacity of having their themes' magic. Leyla loved The Goddess of the voids, clouds and surreal… which made have a wide range of spells… such wasted potential.
William, on the other hand, worshipped the God of Mystery— aka, Adam's father.
Leyla brushed her white dress before stretching her arms in front of her, preparing to use her powers.
William smiles at her and stretches only one arm at her.
''I'll hold back for you, dear sister… I could never hurt you. It's the power of friendsh—''
Next thing he knew, he was getting thrown off by the wind with a girlish scream.
''EEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!''
Leyla's eyes widened. She hadn't realized her powers got so strong… and out of control.
She tries using the wind and some clouds to help him direct towards the ground without too much force… but it was too hard.
His screams eventually died down as he tried using his own powers to reach the ground safely.
He created a shadow under him, but his shadows were still weak… they didn't catch him.
His screams started off again as he shut his eyes closed.
He felt he was getting caught by something. It was a white horse.
William looked down at it with a curious expression… then it turned into a random guy-?!
''Heya~ am Coco! How about you?'' He said with a smile.
William blinked once. Then twice. And then—
''EEEEEEEEEEHHHH—''
A sharp slap from Coco brought him back to reality.
Leyla tilted her head to the side curiously with a raised eyebrow.
''A shapeshifter?''
Coco smiled at her and nodded.
''I'm an animalistic shapeshifter... if that even is a word—'' he stood up and pushed William away. ''I'm Capricorn's pet.''
William's eyes widen at that as he immediately moves to cover his mouth. ''Alright, we get it!!!'' He says with a nervous smile.
Coco raises an eyebrow at him and pushes him away again, harder this time.
''What's wrong with you? Am just telling the truth. Cap is my mistress.''
William's eyes widen further with a bewildered expression on his face.
''Who even is Capricorn?!''
Coco looks at him as if he had just grown a second head.
''Obviously The Greatest Hero. Don't you know that? It's like, basic knowledge.''
He adjusts his orange overalls and glares at him.
He then smiles and turns around.
''Capricorn is also the captain of her ship. Also called 'The Rose Noire'. They all treat me like their king. So, come on, kneel before me and beg for me to find for you the awesome divinity that is The Goddess of the Su—
-We already know where she is.
-WHA—?!!!???!!!!!?!!""
Coco stares at him with wide eyes and a dropped jaw that could reach the floor.
William just chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his neck.
''And we learned that she is called Silver.''
After a few moments of pure shock, Coco starts laughing and giggling to the point of dropping to the floor—
''BAHABAHAHAHAHHAHA—!!!!! You think-'' A sharp breath. ''YOU THINK THAT SILVER IS THE GODDESS OF THE SUN?!?!?!?!??!!!!!''
William blinks at him.
''Wait— she isn't?'' He trails off; all hope disappears from his expression.
Coco calms down and sits up.
''That's not exactly what I said, idiot. More precisely, Silver can bring her to you instead of you searching for her...''
Leyla raises an eyebrow.
''What do you mean...?''
Coco chuckles.
''Simple. The Goddess of the Moon has a DID. Capricorn and Silver are two of the MANY personalities that have got the privilege of being created by her mind. So, basically, you have found The Sun Goddess. Only indirectly.''
William and Leyla's mouths were shaped like an 'o'.
It makes so much sense now.
All personalities had different bodies and different powers.
That made sense.
William's light returned to his eyes as he smiled widely.
''Coco, may we train with you?''
Coco thought about it for a little while before shrugging.
''Yeah, sure.''
Next thing they knew, Coco had turned into a giant dragon.
William had an empty smile at the sight as he mumbled under his breath.
''Great.''
The ground trembled under Coco as his throat started to heat up, just like the air. He smirked and blew fire at them—
William's eyes widened as he moved to shield Leyla.
He stretches out his hands.
He closes his eyes.
And he creates a small, green dome around them.
His dome gradually melted as heat burned his hands… small cracks started forming but just in time—
Leyla responded quickly, using her wind to change the trajectory of the blown fire.
Coco growled at that and lifted a paw as if to say 'TiMe OuT'.
They blinked at him as he returned to his original form.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.
''Alright. What the heck was that.''
William looked down.
''Well… we used our powers to defend ourselves…''
Coco rolls his eyes.
''I noticed. But you need to fight. Not to shield yourselves.''
His eyes land on a mountain nearby (which was at 80 kilometers) and points at it.
''We're walking all the way over there. And then, we'll climb it up.''
William laughed, as if he had just said the funniest joke ever.
''OH—! Coco! You're so funny!!!!''
He wiped away an invisible tear as his laughter slowly died down, noticing how serious Coco was.
''Wait… we're not actually going to—
-We are.''
He smirked.
''We're going to walk for as long as we can. It will build up your stamina. Which is good for a fight.''
He takes Leyla's wrist, which makes her blush softly.
''W-what are you—…?''
He just looks down at her watch and looks over back at the mountain.
''It's 3pm.''
He looks up at the endless galaxies.
''And a normal being can walk two kilometers per hour… so we should be able to be there after 40 hours. Two days without drinking, eating or resting.'' He says with a bright smile. ''I love my life. Speaking of, you won't lose it.'' A small pause. ''Probably.''
William and Leyla's jaws drop.
''Y-you're not actually serious… right…?''
Leyla chuckles nervously.
Coco looks at them with a raised eyebrow.
''Of course I am.''
Leyla faints.
Before she could drop on the floor, William catches her.
''I don't think we have the same abilities as you… and Silver will get worried…
-What is she? Your mother?'' Coco glares at him. ''Plus. I'm pretty sure she won't worry about anything.'' He chuckles. ''She has sharp instincts. She can sense danger one week before it actually happens.''
William looked thoughtful before he snapped out of it because of another sharp slap from Coco—
''Anyway, let's get going.''
He starts walking with a smirk.
William rubs his cheek and follows him with a sigh. Leyla follows him closely and clings to his arm again.
This was gonna be a longgggg week…
Why a week? Well, Coco didn't really mention the time it would take to climb the mountain, nor the fact that they would have to climb it down again and go back to Adam's place.
To Coco, it was like a walk in the park… a little too literally—
He couldn't help but think about all of those adventures with Capricorn… All the action they've had for all those years… the adrenaline, the thrill of it all.
All those experiences who made him him.
A few minutes had passed by, and William was already talking again—
''So, ahem— we didn't greet each other properly… I'm William, and this is my sister Leyla—
-And Icouldn't care less.''
William pouts as Leyla chuckles softly.
''So, Coco, what's your story? How did you and Capricorn meet? What kind of adventures did you two have together?''
Coco stops in his tracks and slowly turns around with a childish, bright smile.
''Capricorn is like my mother…''
William's eyes widen as he freezes.
''What.''
He looks up and down at Coco's appearance, not in a judging manner, but not in a kind way either—
''You're, like, two years older than her… and she's only 13–''
Coco rolls his eyes at him, unimpressed.
''Believe it or not, but some creatures get older than others in less time. I literally am a pet. Getting old is one of my strong suits.''
Leyla blinked at him, not really understanding what was happening. And who could blame her?
