Leyla blew some air over the little sparks, and soon enough, a fire formed itself.
William was so proud of her… but he wanted to learn something too…
Coco suddenly stood up and told them to stay quiet.
They both stared at him, confused, but they sighed and did as asked. Coco circulated them to shield them from whatever was coming at them. And then…
A yellow portal appeared. Capricorn and Adam came out of it.
Coco smiled widely and jumped into his mother's arms…
''Momma!!!''
He was halfway though when she kicked him out of her arms.
''Who the FUCK are you—?!''
Adam chuckled softly and leaned into whisper in her ear.
''It's Coco… his human form.''
Capricorn blinked.
Oh yeah… she forgot that Coco had this form as a human. He always was a parrot around her, so she didn't really remember him like that. Poor guy.
She crouches down next to him with a laugh.
''Admit that was funny—!
-No.'' he mumbled against the ground.
She helps him up with a sheepish grin.
Coco pouts and sighs.
''Why are you here anyway?''
Capricorn's expression hardens. She sighs, as if the air blowing from her mouth could physically push the date.
''We… need to leave Pottam. We need to get to Chocland.''
Coco's eyes widen, the air felt heavy with tension.
William raises an eyebrow.
Leyla, sensing the tension, grips her dress nervously.
Capricorn sighs again and pinches the bridge of her nose.
''We'll have a long trip until there… and knowing The King, he could start a war at any time just to get to kidnap more people…''
She then mutters under her breath…
''We've also been sensing less and less magic in the universe lately…''
She clears her throat and smirks, resting her hands on her hips confidently.
''Anyways!'' Her fangs show. ''We'll be on a quite big trip from now on—''
Her eyes land on William.
Her eyebrows shot up in surprise.
Her head slowly turns to Adam as he chuckles nervously.
''W-what a coincidence! I didn't expect that your dream would come true—!''
A vein pops on her forehead, but she decides not to start a fight now of all times…
''I'm just going to pretend we didn't meet at the bar…''
Leyla's big eyes lock on Capricorn as she bows slightly.
''Sun Goddess… may you help us find back our parents…?''
Capricorn smirks confidently again.
She didn't sense any great magic in her… yet her potential was huge. She raised an eyebrow. Was Coco recruiting them?!
She glanced back at William.
He didn't look very powerful… but his will sure was impressive.
Both had the same green eyes. She wondered if they were siblings.
''Sure, I can help you. Stopping Chocland's King was one of my objectives anyway. It will take a lot of time, though…''
Leyla and William looked at each other.
William nodded reassuringly and placed his hand on his sister's shoulder.
''We can wait as much time as you want…'' he steps in. ''Just please, promise us they'll be safe until then…''
She nods once again with a grin.
Coco shape-shifts into a parrot and flies up to Capricorn's shoulder, just… standing there.
Capricorn's pats his head as he talks.
''These are William and Leyla. I've been forming them for two days. They're siblings and they are so weak!'' He laughs.
Capricorn snorts but quickly catches herself and clears her throat.
''Ahem— how have you two been formed?''
William points at the mountain.
''We've been walking for two days straight to reach that mountain to build stamina.''
Capricorn smirks.
''Ah, yes… I've been through a similar thing once… I was on a fight for a whole month. Someone kept following me and throwing bombs at me nonstop.''
William and Leyla's jaw drops.
Coco and Adam, on the other hand, smile as if she was talking about a hobby—
Capricorn clears her throat and jumps— high enough to stand on a tree branch nonchalantly. The shadows made her yellow eyes glow…
