Chapter 12: The Heir of Ahnes part 2
The echo of truth had barely faded when Wang spoke again, his voice filled with curiosity and confusion.
"You told me… that some people of Ahnes have powers… and their bodies are stronger than humans of this world."
Obito turned his gaze toward Hinata, observing her closely.
"Hinata… didn't you ever realize? That your body is stronger than others?"
Hinata paused, thinking back to her past, then nodded slowly.
"Yes… I always felt like I was stronger than everyone else. I just never questioned it."
Obito then looked at Jim.
"What kind of power does she have?"
Jim took a deep breath before answering.
"When she was little… her power awakened. She gained the ability to strengthen her body—she can reinforce herself using her own energy."
He lowered his gaze slightly.
"But I never gave her proper training… that's why her strength isn't fully developed."
A small smile appeared on Wang's face as he looked at Hinata.
"So that's why… you were able to hit me so hard."
Hinata's face immediately turned red with embarrassment.
"Wang!" she said, lightly hitting him again.
Everyone in the room burst into laughter.
For a brief moment, the heavy atmosphere lifted, replaced by warmth and normalcy.
But Wang still had questions.
He turned back to Obito.
"Then why haven't I ever controlled any natural elements since childhood?"
Obito crossed his arms, his expression calm but serious.
"Some royal children awaken their powers in early childhood…
some awaken at the age of eighteen…
and some can awaken even before that—if they train."
He stepped forward slightly.
"That's why, starting today… both you and Hinata will begin training."
Then he looked directly at Jim.
"Hinata's father will train both of you… so that your powers awaken within this month—
and Hinata's abilities become stronger."
Obito's voice softened slightly as he said,
"Jim… will you train my son… and your daughter?"
Jim nodded without hesitation.
"Alright."
A silent understanding passed between them.
Obito took a deep breath, then said firmly,
"That means… Rin and I will leave for Ahnes tomorrow."
The room grew quiet again.
Then Obito looked at Jim, his eyes filled with trust and responsibility.
"Will you take care of Rin's parents… and my son… until we return from Ahnes?"
Jim met his gaze and answered with certainty,
"Yes… I will."
It wasn't just a promise—
it was a responsibility.
And in that moment…
A new beginning had begun.
A journey…
A training…
And a power…
That would soon change everything.
