Chapter 20 - We met again

Deadshot walked deeper into the parking building where the vehicles were parked. Darkness filled the area, and the only visible light came from the one-eyed tactical lens covering his eye.

Suddenly, he sensed something.

He instantly turned around and aimed the silenced pistol mounted on his wrist.

But there was nothing there.

Only a black crow standing quietly on top of a nearby car.

The crow's dark eyes reflected Deadshot's figure.

"Where did that guy go?" Deadshot frowned.

Ever since that man entered the parking building, it was as if he had vanished from the world.

Thinking about it carefully, the fact that the man had blocked his bullet earlier was already unbelievable. In all his years as a professional assassin, he had never encountered such a situation before.

He had no idea where that man came from.

"Caw… caw…"

The crow suddenly cried out, which only made Deadshot more irritated.

"Shut the hell up!"

"Bang!"

Deadshot fired his gun, and the bullet shot straight toward the crow.

Then something strange happened.

The bullet hit the crow directly.

But the moment it made contact, the crow turned into a cloud of black mist and disappeared.

Only a single black feather slowly drifted down onto the roof of the car.

"What?!"

Deadshot was startled, and his body instantly tensed.

"I know you're here."

He was certain that the strange scene just now was Jin's doing.

Deadshot carefully scanned his surroundings, remaining completely vigilant, but he still couldn't find any trace of Jin.

"Huh?"

Suddenly—

The lights across the entire parking level flickered on.

One after another, the lamps lit up in sequence.

Until the final light illuminated a man standing calmly in the distance.

A black trench coat.

A cowboy hat.

It was Jin.

He slowly raised his head, the shadow of his hat revealing a pair of confident eyes staring directly at Deadshot.

"Hmph. Stop pretending to be mysterious."

Now that he had found his target, Deadshot immediately launched an attack.

He raised the silenced wrist pistol and fired.

"Bang!"

『Remote Block』

"Clang!"

Just as before, the bullet was easily deflected by Jin.

"Tch."

Deadshot clicked his tongue in irritation.

Just as he expected.

The same result again.

But he refused to believe Jin could block every shot.

In the next moment, Deadshot pulled out the rifle on his back and opened fire.

"Da-da-da!!"

If it were anyone else, every bullet fired by Deadshot would have struck its target perfectly.

But this time, his opponent was Jin.

As a roaming gunman, Jin understood firearms better than almost anyone.

Even Deadshot—famous for his perfect accuracy—could not match him in that regard.

"Whoosh!"

Jin moved like a shadow.

His body blurred through the air, leaving only faint traces behind.

Bullets whistled past his ears, missing him by mere centimeters.

Some shots were dodged entirely.

Others were deflected with his long-range parry ability.

"What?!"

Deadshot was stunned.

His shots either missed or were blocked completely.

For a moment, he even began to doubt whether his marksmanship had declined.

If word of this got out—that the legendary Deadshot had his bullets dodged and blocked by an unknown man—his reputation would be ruined.

Seeing this reaction, Jin smiled slightly.

Invincibility frames, kid.

But then something even stranger happened.

Black feathers began appearing around Jin's body.

His figure became increasingly blurred, like the afterimage created by extreme speed.

The distance between them rapidly shrank.

From several hundred meters—

To barely a hundred.

"Damn it!"

Deadshot realized things were going badly.

He immediately abandoned his rifle and rushed forward, attempting to gain the advantage in close combat.

But that was his biggest mistake.

Within moments, the two were only a few steps apart.

Deadshot threw a powerful punch toward Jin.

Jin calmly raised his own fist and met the attack head-on.

"Crack!"

The crisp sound of bone breaking echoed through the parking garage.

Deadshot's hand had been shattered instantly.

This guy's strength…!

At that moment, Deadshot realized that choosing hand-to-hand combat had been a terrible mistake.

The best option now was to escape.

But Jin had no intention of giving him that chance.

An elbow slammed directly into Deadshot's face.

Deadshot felt a wave of dizziness as his body flew backward.

"Bang!"

His head smashed into the headlights of a parked car, shattering the glass instantly.

The damaged vehicle began flashing yellow lights while its alarm blared loudly.

Blood flowed from Deadshot's head as he lay on the ground.

Gritting his teeth through the pain, he slowly crawled backward.

"Wait!"

"I can give you money… just let me go this time."

"I won't become your enemy again."

Deadshot removed his mask, revealing his dark-skinned face.

In another life, he might have resembled a famous actor.

But now he had no pride left.

He was begging for his life.

After all, no amount of money was worth dying for.

Jin said nothing.

Instead, he simply turned around and began walking away.

A sneer appeared in Deadshot's heart.

Just like those so-called superheroes.

Always letting their enemies go.

Quietly, he raised his weapon again, preparing to attack Jin from behind.

But what he didn't realize—

After walking a short distance, Jin slowly stopped.

Then he turned sideways.

The barrel of White Ivory was already aimed directly at Deadshot.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

The only words he spoke during the entire exchange were:

"I gave you a chance."

"Bang!!"

The plastic bullet hit his head hard.

His eyes were still filled with shock as his body slid weakly down the wall.

A system notification appeared.

[Sign-in with Deadshot successful.]

[Reward: Mastery of all firearms and marksmanship.]
