Morning sunlight stretched across the campus of Starlight Academy as students poured through the gates, chatting loudly about homework, gossip, and weekend plans. But today the atmosphere felt different—electric, buzzing with rumors.
At the entrance, a group of students suddenly fell silent.
"Isn't that her…?"
"The girl from the concert…"
"The CEO from the news!"
Whispers spread like wildfire as Jay walked through the gates beside Section E, Keifer, and Kuya Angelo. Cameras from phones discreetly lifted, students pretending to scroll while sneaking glances.
Jay walked calmly, hands in her pockets, expression relaxed as if nothing unusual had happened.
Kuya Angelo sighed beside her, already annoyed."You really turned the whole school upside down, little sister."
Jay shrugged casually."Not my fault they're dramatic."
Behind them, more whispers erupted.
"That's really her.""She started AHSCJ at eight!""And she performed at the concert last night!"
Keifer noticed the way students stared and leaned slightly toward Jay.
"You okay with this?"
Jay smirked faintly.
"Compared to fighting hundreds of bodyguards… this is peaceful."
Keifer chuckled softly.
Hallway Rumors
Inside the school corridors, the whispers only grew louder.
Groups of students parted automatically as Jay and the others walked by.
"Is she really the CEO?"
"And a K-pop idol too!"
"No way someone like that goes to our school."
Gorya crossed her arms as she overheard the rumors.
"They're acting like they've seen a celebrity."
Kanning laughed quietly."Well… technically they have."
Aum grinned.
Jay just kept walking, unfazed.
The classroom fell completely silent the moment Jay entered.
Every single student stared.
Some openly.Some pretending not to.
Jay took her usual seat like nothing had changed. Keifer sat beside her, stretching lazily.
Moments later the teacher walked in with a stack of books.
He began the lecture normally… but after a few minutes he stopped, adjusting his glasses and looking directly at Jay.
"Miss Mariano."
The class instantly stiffened.
Jay calmly looked up.
"Yes, sir?"
"I heard… some interesting things about you yesterday."
The entire class held their breath.
Jay replied without hesitation.
"Just rumors, sir."
A few students choked back laughs while others stared in disbelief.
The teacher blinked, clearly unsure how to respond, then cleared his throat.
"…Right. Let's continue the lesson."
Halfway through the lecture, Jay quietly slid her laptop open beneath the desk.
A message from her manager popped up.
Manager:Urgent update regarding AHSCJ's Tokyo branch.
Jay typed quickly, fingers moving with calm precision.
Jay:Approve the investment proposal. Delay the board meeting by two hours. Send the revised contract.
Keifer slowly leaned closer, peeking at the screen.
His eyebrows lifted.
"Running a billion-dollar company during math class?"
Jay didn't even look at him.
"Efficiency."
Keifer grinned.
"Remind me never to compete with you."
Lunch Chaos
By lunchtime, all groups gathered in the cafeteria.
Havoc, Apex, Shadow Council, Section E—everyone sat together around the long table.
For a moment, things were strangely quiet.
Then Thyme slammed his hands on the table.
"I still can't believe you're a stage idol too!"
Kavin pointed at Jay dramatically.
"And a CEO!"
MJ leaned back in his chair.
"And a mafia boss."
Across the table, Rylan smirked.
"You really hid a lot from us."
Zephyr shook his head slowly.
"You run half the world and still attend school like a normal student."
Nova added calmly,
"That level of balance is impressive."
Gorya glared at Jay.
"You nearly gave everyone a heart attack yesterday."
Kanning nodded.
"We thought we knew everything about you."
Aum leaned forward with a grin.
"Turns out we only knew half."
Jay simply continued eating her lunch peacefully.
Kuya Angelo suddenly reached over and twisted her ear.
"Ow—!"
"My sister," he said sternly, "runs a company, performs on stage, fights criminals, and I don't know any of it?"
Jay groaned.
"Kuya! Not in public!"
Everyone burst out laughing.
Elsewhere across the campus, the rumors kept spreading.
"She's in Section E!"
"I heard she owns half the companies in the city."
"No wonder nobody messes with their group."
Teachers whispered in the faculty room.
"Is it true?"
"The CEO of AHSCJ studies here?"
The principal simply sighed.
"Our school just became famous overnight."
The final bell rang.
Students began packing their bags, conversations buzzing everywhere.
Jay closed her laptop and stood.
Keifer walked beside her as they headed toward the hallway.
He glanced at her with a small smile.
"Back to normal life?"
Jay looked around at the chaos of rumors, whispers, and stares.
Then she smirked.
"As normal as it gets."
And together, they walked down the hallway while the rest of the school tried to understand the girl who had just turned their ordinary world upside down.
