Nayza had finally been discharge from the hospital.
She was doing much better now—only a few more days of rest at home were needed.
It was ten days before the last 2nd semester ended.
On the weekend.
Doruk showed up at her house.
Nayza opend the door and froze for a second.
"Doruk... you're here?" she said, a small smile forming on her lips.
He smiled back.
"Why? Am I not allowed to come?"
"No, it's not like that," Nayza said quickly, a little nervous. "You can come anytime."
She stepped aside.
"Come in."
Doruk Walked inside, looking around briefly before turning back to her.
"How are you now?"
"I'm fine," Nayza replied softly.
"And... thank you. You really took care of me."
Doruk shook his head.
"Don't say thank you."
Then he added with a faint smile—
"Instead, you should start talking more. You don't talk much."
"Oh really?"
"Yes," he said, nodding. "With proper respect."
She let out a small laugh.
"Okay, tell me—what will you eat? I'll make something."
Doruk lifted the bag in his hand.
"I already brought something. Look—chicken fries. Let's eat together."
Nayza smiled.
"Okay... that sounds fun."
They sat together, eating and laughing lightly.
The atmosphere felt easy.
Comfortable.
After a while, Doruk spoke again.
"You know... Erhaan has gone out of the country."
Nayza paused for a second.
"Yes, I know," she said quietly.
"Yesir told me... and also that Erhaan said sorry for everything."
Her voice softened slightly.
Almost like she didn't know how to feel about it.
Doruk just nodded.
"Uh-hmmm."
There was a faint sadness in his tone too.
As Nayza continued eating, a bit of souce accidentally got on the corner of her lips.
Doruk noticed.
He chuckled lightly.
"Are you a kid or what? Come here."
Nayza looked at him, confused.
"What?"
Before she could react—
Doruk leaned closer.
A little too close.
And gently wiped it off—
With his lips.
Nayza immediately leaned back, her eyes widening slightly.
She couldn't look at him.
"What was that...?" She asked softly and surprised.
Doruk looked just as embarrassed.
"Sorry... that was weird," he admitted, with an awkward laugh.
"I didn't understand how to clean the sauce... the only thing that came to my mind was to just lick it."
For a moment—
They both laughed.
Trying to ease the sudden tension.
After that, they started playing games together.
Time passed quickly.
Before they realized—
It was evening.
"Oh... it's already evening," Doruk said. "I didn't even notice."
"Yeah," Nayza replied softly. "Same."
Doruk stood up.
"Alright, I should go now. Take care of yourself."
"You too," Nayza said with a small smile.
As he was about to leave, Doruk suddenly remember something.
"Oh, right—are you coming to Leera's place after exams?"
Nayza laughed lightly.
"Of course. I have to go. Otherwise, Leera might actually kill me."
Both of them laughed.
"Bye," Doruk said.
"Bye," Nayza replied.
And just like that—
The day ended.
