Chapter 21 - The Stranger From Last Night 2

Nayza looked around the table for a moment before suddenly speaking.

"Wait... let me call Huru too. She should join us."

Leera's expression changed slightly.

"Huru?" she repeated. "You guys are in touch?"

Nayza nodded casually.

"Yeah. We talked yesterday and exchanged numbers."

Leera forced a small smile, though something in her eyes shifted for a second.

"But she already has her own group of friends," she said lightly. "Why would she come here?"

There was a faint Trace of jealousy hidden beneath her tone, but everyone was too distracted to notice it clearly.

Nayza simply smiled.

"Having a group doesn't matter. Real friends do."

Then Nayza picked up her phone and texted Huru, asking her to come.

Yesir suddenly looked at her with amusement.

"By the way, Nayza... do you even know about Huru?"

Nayza looked up in confusion.

"Know what?"

Doruk immediately reacted.

"Oh right... we never told you."

Yesir laughed softly before pointing toward Savash.

"Savash is Huru's brother. They're twins."

Nayza eyes widened instantly.

"What?seriously?"

She looked between Savash and the others in disbelief.

"Why didn't anyone tell me before?"

Doruk shrugged.

"We honestly didn't even think about it. And we didn't know you two became friends already."

"That's actually surprising..." Nayza said softly.

Savash smirked slightly.

"Now you know."

The conversation continued naturally after that. Everyone laughed and talked comfortable while food arrived at the table one after another.

But despite sitting there with them, Nayza remained unusually quiet.

She listened more than she spoke.

Every time she thought about saying something, she stopped herself midway, afraid she might say something awkward or strange.

So instead, she simply observed everyone.

Leera's cute, innocent reactions.

Yesir's teasing comments.

Doruk's loud energy that somehow filled every silence.

And Savash...

For some reason, his gaze kept returning to her.

Not constantly.

But enough for her to notice.

Enough to make her uncomfortable.

A little while later, Huru finally arrived.

The moment she reached the table, Savash looked at her dramatically.

"What are you doing with my group?"

Huru immediately rolled her eyes.

"Oh please. It's my group now too, so shut up."

Savash scoffed.

"You're still annoying."

"And..You've become more handsome than before," a small pause. "but your brain is still just as ugly." Huru shot back instantly.

Everyone burst into laughter.

The teasing between them felt Natural and chaotic in the way only siblings could manage.

After greeting everyone properly, Huru looked around for an empty seat.

Leera was sitting beside Nayza already.

Only the seat next to Doruk was empty.

Nayza smiled softly.

Huru gave her an adorable smile.

"Okay."

She sat beside Doruk while the conversation continued again.

The atmosphere slowly became warmer, lighter, more alive.

Everyone was talking at once.

Except Nayza.

She stayed quite, occasionally smiling at their jokes.

Savash finally leaned slightly forward.

"So Nayza..."

She looked at him.

"You've been sitting quietly this whole time. Tell us something about yourself."

Nayza smiled awkwardly.

"What should I even say?"

Savash looked at her curiously. "Then tell us about your family, your friends... your past."

Nayza forced a small smile. "Everything was fine, I guess. Yeah... I miss them sometimes."

"Tell us about some good memories then," Savash said.

Nayza lowered her gaze for a moment. "I don't really remember much."

Savash frowned slightly. "You don't remember your high-school days either? Come on, at least tell us something about your family."

The question hit differently this time.

Too directly.

Too suddenly.

And something inside Nayza snapped instantly.

"Can you stop asking these useless questions?" she said sharply.

The entire table went silent.

Savash blinked in surprise.

"Okay... sorry. But why are you getting angry? It was just a normal question."

Nayza immediately stood up from her chair.

"That's enough. I'm leaving."

Leera looked at her.

"Hey... Nayza, calm down. Don't go like this. He won't ask again."

Doruk expression darkened slightly as he watched her trembling hands.

"If you're uncomfortable," he said softly, standing up beside her, "Then come. I'll drop you home."

Yesir frowned and looked toward Savash.

"Why would you ask that suddenly?"

Savash looked genuinely confused now.

"It was just a normal question..."

But Nayza was already walking away.

Fast.

Almost like she wanted to escape.

Doruk said little worried. "You guys continue. Let me check her."

Leera said "Just let us know."

Doruk immediately followed after her.

Outside the restaurant, the evening air felt colder than before.

Nayza quickly tried stopping a texi near the road.

Before she could open the door, Doruk gently grabbed her wrist.

"Nayza."

She stopped.

"What happened?" he asked softly. "Tell me. I'm here, okay? I'll understand. But don't leave like this."

Nayza shook her head immediately.

"I'm not angry."

Her voice sounded weaker now.

"And tell Savash I'm not upset with him either. I just... want to go home."

Doruk's eyes softened.

"Okay. I'll tell him."

Then more quietly, almost carefully.

"But let me take you home first. Please don't go alone like this."

As he spoke, he gently placed his hand against the side of her face, comforting her carefully as if she might break.

That small gesture shattered the last bit of control she had left.

Tears slowly gathered in Nayza's eyes.

She looked up at him with a fragile expression, lips trembling slightly.

"...Okay."

Doruk gave her a small reassuring nod before leading her toward his car.

Meanwhile, he called Leera.

"I'm taking Nayza home," he said simply.

Leera sighed softly.

"Alright, take car of her."

Back inside the restaurant, Leera looked toward the others.

"Nayza isn't feeling well," she explained.

The mood at the table became quieter after that.

Especially for Savash.

Inside the car,

Silence filled the space between them.

Nayza sat near the window, trying hard not to cry.

Her fingers twisted together nervously in her lap while her eyes stayed fixed outside.

Doruk glanced at her occasionally while driving.

Seeing her like this genuinely hurt him.

Her silence.

Her trembling breathing.

The tears she was trying so hard to hide.

He hated it.

More than he expected.

Finally, the car stopped outside her apartment building.

"We're here," Doruk said softly.

Nayza nodded quietly and stepped out.

Doruk followed her without hesitation.

She turned around him in confusion.

"You're not going home? It's getting late."

Doruk looked at her for a moment before answering honestly.

"If you don't mind..."

His voice became quieter.

"Can I stay with you for a little while?"

Nayza looked at him silently.

Doruk stepped closer, concern still visible in his eyes.

"I just..." he paused softly, "I don't want to leave you alone right now."
