Chapter 14 - Wake Up!
A blood-wrenching scream resounded through the entire House.
Kai's father, who was sleeping in the living room, instantly woke up and felt as if a mountain was placed on him due to the loud sound and pressure exuded by Kai's screams of agony it wasn't merely just screaming but somehow mana in the air was trembling making any cultivator fell like there was a mountain above them.
Kai's mother, who had a stronger bloodline, stood up but was still affected by the mana.
Everyone within a 500 meter distance instantly felt a strong pressure placed above them due to Kai's innate aura pressure being released and the trembling of mana.
Kai didn't even know what was going on.
Meanwhile, after the scream, Kai's mental defenses instantly cracked from the pain. He felt as if his mind was blowing up, and then suddenly as the pain peaked darkness engulfed him. The last thing he felt was his throat being torn apart due to his screams.
Kai's eyes snapped open. He found himself in his mind space, but something was different—very different. Instead of the large green meadows, what greeted him was destroyed, burnt, and rotting soil.
As the space around Kai bent and cracked, the once solemnly magnificent area of his mind space now looked vastly different, as it was destroying itself. After all, it was a representation of his soul and it was under insane amounts of load. Kai's body was not meant to survive through this.
Kai's contact with his real body was fading in and out. Every few seconds he could feel as if lava was flowing through his veins. Every blood cell and vein in his body were destroyed and healed and he felt everything form it. and yet he felt like he was rapidly growing stronger.
But then the system's sound resounded:
[Host's mental condition near-death state. Force healing shall now activate.]
Kai felt his body healing but then destroying itself repeatedly.
Within the first loop, Kai completely lost contact with his body.
By the second, Kai had no longer any felling with his body as if he was completely just a soul not a body.
His body in the mind space was so transparent that he could literally see through it completely. It was just a mere outline but Kai couldn't care even if he wanted to; his mind was long gone. He was in a near-vegetative state.
And then the system spoke as well as a holographic screen appeared saying:
[Bloodline evolve completed]
Kai didn't hear it or see it.
Kai's mind was so fractured he was basically a vegetable. He didn't have any control of his body.
Kai's regeneration skill was healing his core, trying its best, but it was far too weak to heal Kai's now-evolved core. Still, it was slowly healing him.

Kai's mind was damaged, and the system ruled him out of the near-death state, but he was still not waking up.
After Kai's screaming slowed and then ceased, the pressure on everyone dissipated.
Kai's mother, Heather, was staring at Kai's limp body as if it could kill her, but at the same time her eyes were full of worry and a calculating glint.
After a while, she raised Kai's hand and dropped it, and it fell lifelessly.
Heather hummed, sighed, and placed her hand on Kai's chest.
She felt a very, very weak pulse like a whisper of the heart, the last one.
Heather was spooked and worried and instantly grabbed Kai in her arms
and dashed out of the door, screaming to Kai's dad, "That was Kai! I'm taking him to the nearest hospital! Call the academy and tell Ray what happened!"
In the room, Kai's dad was sweating. He raised a weak thumbs up and flopped on the couch again like a fish out of water.
But in mere seconds, Kai's mother had crossed a few kilometers.
She was literally faster than the magically powered cars on the road, even though they were moving at 200 km/h.
In a minute, Kai's mother arrived at the hospital.
With a sigh she shouted, "My kid passed out! Low heart rate! His mana core might have been broken or something please help him!"
A doctor appeared in a hurry, strapping Kai's lifeless body to a floating stroller,
and then took him to a medical room.
In a few minutes Kai's body was strapped with hundreds of gadgets.
This hospital… it was, of course, the Life Line Hospital.
