Chapter 56 – Back in the Competition: Jacob Dominates the USPSA
The End of Coachella and the Hunger for a New Challenge
After an insane weekend at Coachella, Jacob Stewart felt something he hadn't expected:
The need for a new challenge.
The music, the parties, the women… It was all incredible.
But he needed something more intense, more visceral, more real.
It was then, while driving his McLaren 720S back to Los Angeles, that an idea popped into his head.
He picked up the phone and called Taran Butler, his shooting coach and personal friend.
Taran answered almost immediately.
— Jacob! Hey, champ. How was Coachella?
Jacob laughed.
— It was legendary, as always. But now I need something different. I want to compete in the USPSA again.
Taran was silent for a second and then laughed.
— You're hooked on this, aren't you? Jacob smiled.
"You know I am. I'm sharper than ever and I want to test my skills again."
Taran replied immediately:
"Then get ready, because we have a competition in less than two weeks. I want you training with me tomorrow."
Jacob smiled.
That was exactly what he needed.
The next day, Jacob drove to the property of Taran Tactical Innovations, one of the best shooting training centers in the United States.
As soon as he arrived, Taran was already waiting for him with a smile on his face and a Glock 34 in hand.
"Ready to get back in the game, Hollywood star?"
Jacob picked up the pistol, checked the ammunition, and loaded a magazine.
"John Wick never leaves the game."
Taran laughed.
"Then let's see if your reaction time is still as fast as before."
The training began.
Jacob spent hours refining his skills.
Rapid fire at multiple targets
Magazine change in less than a second
Tactical movement and cover
Long-range precision shooting
Taran watched Jacob's every move attentively.
In one of the challenges, Jacob had to hit five targets in less than three seconds.
He drew his pistol, BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!, and all the metal plates fell instantly.
Taran whistled.
"This guy doesn't have a millisecond delay. You shouldn't be in Hollywood, Jacob. You should be competing professionally."
Jacob laughed and reloaded his weapon.
"Who says I can't do both?"
Finally, the day of the competition arrived.
Jacob woke up early, had a hearty breakfast, and headed to the shooting range where the event would take place.
The place was packed with high-level competitors, including ex-military personnel, police officers, federal agents, and professional shooters.
As soon as Jacob arrived, all eyes turned to him.
He already had a name in the USPSA community, but now, as an Oscar-winning actor, he attracted even more attention.
Some competitors whispered amongst themselves.
"Is that Jacob Stewart? The guy from John Wick?"
"Yes, he trains with Taran Butler. They say he's insane."
"Let's see if he's really good or just acts well."
Jacob heard the comments, but didn't mind.
He knew he would prove his worth on the shooting range.
Taran approached him, patting him on the shoulder.
"Everyone wants to see if the Hollywood star can shoot under pressure."
Jacob smiled, adjusting his holster.
"Then let's put on a show for them."
The first round involved a dynamic course with multiple targets, quick reloads, and obstacles.
Jacob waited for the signal.
BEEP!
He moved like a ghost.
He drew his Glock 34 in less than half a second.
He hit the first three targets with clean shots.
He crouched down, changed magazines, and continued advancing.
He fired while moving laterally, hitting targets behind barricades.
He finished with two shots in zone A of the last target.
Final time: 5.9 seconds.
The judges were speechless.
The audience murmured, impressed.
Taran laughed and shook his head.
"You just shut a lot of people up, partner."
Jacob just smiled and prepared for the next round.
After several intense rounds, Jacob reached the final of the competition.
His opponent? A former Delta Force member, a USPSA national champion.
It was a duel between a Hollywood star and an elite operator.
The final challenge involved a complex course with over 20 targets, moving obstacles, and an extreme demand for precision.
The two competitors positioned themselves side-by-side, ready for the starting signal.
BEEP!
Jacob moved like a predator.
He fired at the first targets without missing a single shot.
He jumped over a barricade and hit a moving target in mid-air.
He changed magazines with surgical precision and continued advancing.
He finished with a long-range shot that hit the exact center of the target.
He looked at the stopwatch.
Time: 12.8 seconds.
The former Delta Force member finished in 13.4 seconds.
Jacob won the competition.
The public erupted in applause.
Taran ran up to him, laughing.
"Jacob, my friend… You just won a competition against one of the best shooters in the country."
Jacob picked up the Glock and blew smoke from the muzzle.
"I think I'm improving."
The crowd went wild.
After the awards ceremony, Jacob was congratulated by several competitors.
The former Delta Force member, whom he had defeated, shook his hand and smiled.
"Jacob, you really know what you're doing. Hollywood may have given you fame, but what I saw here today was pure talent."
Jacob smiled.
"I always say… John Wick never leaves the game."
The Return Home – Thinking About the Future
On the way back to Los Angeles, Jacob felt immense satisfaction.
He had proven to himself that he was still at the top of his game.
But, more than that, he realized that sport shooting was something he truly loved.
He wasn't just an actor playing a shooter.
He WAS a shooter.
And now, he wanted to take that passion even further.
Maybe… he would compete internationally someday.
But that?
That was a plan for the future.
For now…
He just wanted to enjoy the feeling of victory.
Chapter 57 – Global Recognition
Jacob Stewart woke up late the morning after the USPSA competition.
The victory still echoed in his mind.
He had defeated one of the best shooters in the country, proving that his talent went far beyond the movie screen.
As he got out of bed, he felt a slight discomfort in the muscles of his right arm, the effect of the training and the dozens of precise shots he had made the previous day.
But he didn't care.
Because, looking at his cell phone, he saw something that made him smile immediately.
Notifications flooded his screen.
Newspapers, shooting blogs, and even movie websites were covering his victory.
Jacob opened one of the articles and began to read.
The New York Times
"Jacob Stewart wins USPSA championship – Hollywood star proves to be a real-life sharpshooter"
"Oscar winner and 'John Wick' star Jacob Stewart isn't just an actor who knows how to handle guns on screen. Yesterday, he won one of the USPSA's most competitive shooting competitions, beating professional shooters and elite operators. His final time of 12.8 seconds on the course was one of the fastest ever recorded at the event."
"With this victory, Stewart proves that his dedication to realism in his action scenes goes far beyond acting. He trains like the best and now has a championship title to prove it."
Jacob laughed and scrolled to another article.
Guns & Ammo Magazine
"Jacob Stewart: The Hollywood Star Who Could Be a Special Operator"
"We already knew Stewart took his training seriously, but his performance at the USPSA was something on a professional level. He not only won the competition against top-level shooters, but he did so with impeccable style and impressive timing. Tactical shooting has never had such a compelling ambassador in Hollywood."
Jacob knew this kind of recognition was rare.
Most actors were praised for their acting skills, charisma, and screen presence.
But him?
He was being recognized as a real marksman.
And that meant a lot to him.
Then his cell phone vibrated with a call.
It was Richard Calloway, his agent.
Jacob answered, already expecting some bombshell news.
"Hey, Richard. What's up now?"
On the other end of the line, Richard's voice was excited.
— Jacob, my brother, you're in EVERY headline. I've never seen anything like it! Hollywood already respected you, but now the world of shooting sports considers you one of their own!
Jacob laughed, grabbing a bottle of water from the kitchen.
— I think I did a good job, then.
Richard continued.
— And there's more! You received an official message from GLOCK. They want to talk to you NOW.
Jacob raised his eyebrows.
— Glock? What did they say?
Richard took a deep breath before answering.
— They want to make an official announcement congratulating you. Furthermore…
He paused dramatically.
— They want to offer you a BIGGER sponsorship contract.
Jacob smirked.
— This is getting more and more interesting.
Jacob opened his Instagram and saw that the official Glock account had made a post about him.
@GLOCKInc
"Congratulations to our sponsored athlete, Jacob Stewart, on his victory in this weekend's USPSA competition! With an impressive time of 12.8 seconds on the final course, Jacob demonstrated that his intense training and dedication make him a true champion on and off screen. Proud to have you as part of the Glock family!"
Jacob read the comments and saw thousands of fans and shooters praising his performance.
"This guy isn't just an actor, he's a real shooter!"
"Now I understand why he looks so realistic in the movies. He trains like an elite operator!"
"John Wick in fiction, John Wick in real life."
"Glock, make a special edition of his pistol NOW!"
Jacob laughed at the comments and decided to respond to Glock in kind.
He recorded a short video holding his Glock 34, the same one he used in the competition.
— Thank you very much, Glock, for your support and for believing in my work. I always said that training as if it were real makes all the difference. And now, we have a victory to celebrate. Let's continue making history together!
He posted the video and within minutes, the views exploded.
Glock shared the video, and the impact was huge.
A few hours later, Jacob received a video conference call with Glock executives.
On the screen were three representatives of the brand, including the global marketing director.
The man smiled and began to speak.
"Jacob, first of all, congratulations on your victory. We at Glock are all extremely impressed with your performance."
Jacob smiled.
"Thank you very much. It was an intense competition, but I love challenges."
The executive nodded.
"And speaking of challenges… We want to offer you a new contract. Something even bigger than before."
Jacob crossed his arms, curious.
"I'm listening."
The executive picked up a document and read some clauses.
"We want you to be the official face of Glock for our tactical and sporting line. This includes commercials, events, presence at competitions and…"
He paused dramatically.
"A special edition of the Glock 34 inspired by you."
Jacob blinked a few times.
"Wait… You want to launch a Glock with my name on it?"
The executive smiled.
"Exactly. The 'Glock 34 Jacob Stewart Edition'. With your personalized logo and some modifications inspired by your shooting style."
Jacob couldn't help but smile.
This was big. Very big.
He looked at Richard, who was attending the meeting beside him.
The agent nodded, excited.
Jacob then looked at the Glock executive.
"Deal. Let's make history."
The World Is Watching
In the following days, the internet was buzzing about Jacob Stewart and his victory at the USPSA.
Specialized newspapers, shooting sports blogs, and even television channels covering extreme sports talked about his performance.
And the news about the 'Glock 34 Jacob Stewart Edition' spread like wildfire.
Thousands of fans were already saying they would buy the gun as soon as it was released.
Jacob was no longer just a Hollywood star.
He was now a true icon in the world of shooting sports.
And deep down, he knew…
This was just the beginning.
