Chapter 60 – "The Real-Life John Wick"
A New Routine, A New Obsession
It had been a few weeks since Jacob Stewart began his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
His days were now divided between:
Shooting practice and USPSA competitions
Intense weight training and cardio sessions
Jiu-Jitsu classes at Gracie Barra Los Angeles
He didn't do anything halfway.
If he was going to dedicate himself to Jiu-Jitsu, it would be to become one of the best.
His teacher, Ricardo Almeida, a renowned black belt, quickly noticed Jacob's unusual determination.
—You have a focus that few students have, Jacob.
Jacob didn't just train two or three times a week like most beginners.
He trained EVERY DAY.
And not only that.
He asked questions. He wanted to understand the smallest details of the positions. He stayed after hours to practice escapes.
"I've never seen a white belt so obsessed with learning so fast," Ricardo commented to other instructors at the academy.
Jacob knew he was far from being a black belt, but he didn't like the idea of being "just another actor who trains Jiu-Jitsu."
He wanted to become a real fighter.
And then, someone at the academy took a picture of him training.
And that picture…
Changed everything.
One afternoon, while Jacob was practicing submission drills and takedown defense, a younger student at the academy took a picture without him noticing.
The photo showed Jacob in a white kimono, sweaty, practicing a rear-naked choke with a partner.
The student posted it on Twitter with the caption:
"Jacob Stewart trains Jiu-Jitsu now too?! This guy is the real-life John Wick!"
What happened next was a real internet firestorm.
The photo spread like wildfire.
Newspapers, magazines, and even websites specializing in martial arts started talking about it.
ESPN MMA
"Jacob Stewart now trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – Will we see him in the UFC someday?"
"After becoming a shooting champion at the USPSA and starring in insane action movies, Stewart is now diving into the world of grappling. With his level of dedication, it wouldn't surprise us if one day he wanted to test his skills in a real fight."
Black Belt Magazine
"From the Oscars to the Mat – Jacob Stewart and his Jiu-Jitsu journey"
"Actors train martial arts for movies all the time. But Jacob Stewart isn't just any actor. He not only learned techniques for the screen, but decided to train REAL Jiu-Jitsu at a top-level academy. And he trains like a real competitor."
Men's Health
"Jacob Stewart proves once again that there are no limits to his physical evolution. Now he adds Jiu-Jitsu to his brutal training routine."
"After mastering firearms and becoming an elite marksman, Stewart now wants to become a real fighter. And if he keeps up this pace… maybe one day he'll be as dangerous on the mat as he is on the film set."
Jacob woke up the next morning unaware that he was the most talked-about subject on Twitter and Instagram.
His phone was EXPLODING with messages.
He opened Instagram and saw that he had over 500,000 new notifications.
He frowned and saw the reason.
His training photo was everywhere.
Celebrities, MMA athletes, influencers, and fans were talking about him.
He opened the comments:
"This guy doesn't stop! First he wins shooting championships, now he's training Jiu-Jitsu?!"
"Jacob Stewart really wants to become John Wick in real life."
"Next step: UFC. I'd pay to see it."
"Hollywood has never had an actor like this before. He really trains everything he portrays!"
Jacob laughed and shook his head.
He hadn't expected it to go viral so quickly.
That's when Richard Calloway, his agent, called.
Jacob answered on the third ring.
"Hey, Richard."
Richard was ecstatic.
"Jacob, did you see that?! You're TRENDING all over the world because you started Jiu-Jitsu!"
Jacob laughed.
"Yeah, I noticed. I just wanted to train in peace, but I guess that's not going to be possible now, is it?"
Richard snorted.
"You really don't understand what's happening, do you? You're not just a Hollywood actor. You're a masculinity ICON now." "The guys look at you and want to be like you."
Jacob was silent for a moment.
He'd never thought about it that way.
Richard continued:
"Hollywood has always had action stars, but none like you. Everyone else is faking it. You REALLY do these things. And now, you've become the symbol of what a man can be when he's truly dedicated."
Jacob took a deep breath.
He understood the weight of it now.
It wasn't just about him.
It was about what he represented.
"So, what's the next step?" he asked.
Richard laughed.
"I think it's time you spoke about it officially."
Jacob decided to record a video for his followers.
He picked up his cell phone, turned on the front camera, and began to speak.
"Looks like you've discovered my new hobby. Yes, I've started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu."
He smiled.
"And, like everything in my life, I don't do anything halfway. So, get ready… because this is just the beginning."
He winked at the camera and ended the video.
In less than two hours, the video had millions of views.
The legend of Jacob Stewart continued to grow.
And, deep down, he knew…
Jiu-Jitsu would be a long journey.
But he was ready for every step of it.
Chapter 61 – An Unexpected Encounter on the Beach
A Tranquil Morning by the Sea
The morning sun began to illuminate the Santa Monica coast, tinging the sky with golden and orange hues.
Jacob Stewart loved to run early, especially when he could take Lucky, his faithful Labrador.
The beach was quiet, with few people walking on the sand or playing sports.
Jacob wore a gray tank top, black running shorts, and a backwards baseball cap, while Lucky ran happily beside him, tongue hanging out and paws sinking into the soft sand.
The sound of the waves crashing was relaxing, and Jacob felt free, away from the cameras, away from the pressure of Hollywood.
But he knew this peace wouldn't last long.
And he was right.
While running, Jacob noticed a small group of young people in their 20s sitting near a juice stand.
They were chatting animatedly, laughing, and enjoying the sea breeze.
It was then that one of them looked in his direction and his eyes widened.
"Oh… My… God…"
The boy nudged his friend beside him, who turned her face away and was also in shock.
"Wait… Is this real? Is that Jacob Stewart?"
Jacob realized he had been recognized, but instead of continuing to run, he smiled and slowed his pace.
Lucky, noticing his owner's pause, sat down on the sand, wagging his tail.
The young people didn't know what to do.
Then Jacob took the initiative and approached.
"Good morning, everyone. How are you?" he said, as if he were an ordinary guy.
The group was speechless for a few seconds, and then they all started talking at once.
"WOW, IT'S REALLY YOU!"
"WE LOVE YOU, JACOB!"
"YOU'RE JOHN WICK IN REAL LIFE!"
Jacob laughed and raised his hands, asking for calm.
"I'm just a guy running with my dog, folks. Nothing special."
The fans exchanged surprised glances.
No security, no team of assistants.
The biggest star in Hollywood was there, alone, talking to them as if they were old friends.
Jacob sat down on the sand, unceremoniously, and began to chat with the group.
"So, are you guys from Los Angeles?"
The girl who seemed to be the most talkative of the group answered, still somewhat in shock.
"Yes! But we never imagined we'd find you here like this, out of the blue!"
Jacob laughed.
"Well, I'm still a normal person. I love running on the beach with Lucky."
He pointed to his dog, who immediately received affection from everyone.
The group began to relax, realizing that Jacob was much more approachable than they had imagined.
The conversation flowed naturally.
They talked about movies, Jiu-Jitsu, shooting competitions, and even silly everyday things, like which restaurant had the best hamburgers in Los Angeles.
Jacob listened with genuine interest, making jokes and laughing like any other young person there.
Then one of the boys looked at him and asked, still somewhat incredulous:
"Jacob, don't you have anything better to do than sit here talking with us?"
Jacob smiled and took a sip of the orange juice he had bought at the stall.
"To be honest? No. This is great. It's good to get away from the Hollywood world for a bit and just enjoy a quiet moment."
The group was even more impressed.
This wasn't just a famous actor.
It was a real person.
After a while of talking, one of the girls looked at Jacob, somewhat hesitantly.
"We were going to have lunch here at the stall. Do you want to eat with us?"
Jacob smiled slightly and shrugged.
— Why not?
The fans couldn't believe it.
Jacob Stewart, one of the biggest movie stars, sitting with them, having lunch like childhood friends?
He ordered a simple dish of grilled fish with rice and beans, and when the food arrived, he ate calmly, chatting and laughing.
Meanwhile, one of the customers at the stall was discreetly filming the scene.
He posted it on Twitter with the caption:
"Jacob Stewart is the most down-to-earth guy in Hollywood. He's literally sitting with a group of fans, eating fish and chatting like they're friends. This guy is amazing."
The video went viral in minutes.
The next day, the internet was buzzing about the video of Jacob Stewart having lunch with fans on the beach.
The video had been viewed millions of times and was on every news website.
CNN Entertainment
"Jacob Stewart proves once again that he's Hollywood's most approachable star – Casual encounter with fans on the beach goes viral."
"Unlike many celebrities who avoid the public, Stewart not only chatted with fans on the beach, but had lunch with them, took photos, and behaved like a normal person. This only reinforces why he is so beloved by the public."
Variety Magazine
"Jacob Stewart: The Most Humble Actor in the World?"
"Famous actors are usually surrounded by security guards and assistants. Jacob Stewart, however, prefers to run around alone with his dog and stop to chat with fans on the beach. In a world of inaccessible celebrities, he stands out as someone who truly values his fans."
GQ Magazine
"Jacob Stewart reminds us what it means to be a true star."
"True charisma doesn't just come from talent or fame, but from authenticity. Jacob Stewart has it all. He's not only an incredible actor, but also someone who never forgets his roots. Maybe that's why he's conquered Hollywood and audiences in a way that few can."
After seeing all the repercussions, Jacob decided to respond on Instagram.
He posted a photo of Lucky running on the beach with the caption:
"Just another normal day with my best friend." 🐶
In the comments, fans said:
"This guy is surreal! How can he be so humble?!"
"Jacob, you can never change." "You're special precisely because you're like this."
"I can't believe I missed the chance to be at the beach that day 😭"
"Hollywood needs more people like you!"
Jacob read everything and smiled to himself.
For him, it wasn't a big deal.
It was just who he was.
And if that made some people's day brighter…
Then he would continue being exactly like that.
