Jay's Pov
After giving it so much thought I decided to accept it because I cannot make Sara suffer because of me, I decided to send them my confirmation mail after speaking to Sara.
I went to Sara to speak about this,
Sara: "What happened why did you look so lost?"
Jay: "I just have something I have to talk to you about"
Sara: "Go on"
Jay: "We have received an amazing offer from
A firm, it is a offer for both of us"
Sara: "Wow really that's amazing, that is what you have been talking with the manager?"
Jay: "Yes but it is with JJ Ltd"
Sara: "You mean your ex?"
I nods my head,
Sara: "You don't have to accept it for me Jay"
Jay: "No it's not fair, I cannot make you lose and opportunity just because of me"
Sara: "I am fine, I know you do not want this"
Jay: "It's not about wants anymore because we both need it regarding our financial needs no matter how much ever we deny, Both of us need it and I have already accepted it"
I lied to her saying that I have already accepted it but the truth is I haven't but I know she will not accept it otherwise.
After talking with he to sent the acceptance mail and went to my apartment, I freshened up and sat on my bed.
I don't know why the fate is playing with me, I wanted to run away from you and Now I am going to be working for you, I hope I don't have to see you that much, Because you still have the ability to hurt me just with your presence, When I see you all I can remember is our happy moments and how it all went down because of you.
Keifer's Pov
It was night and everyone has already left and I was in my office going through some paperwork because I was anxious about Jay's reply to the offer about working with us, I really wanted her to accept this one, but I started getting anxious so I indulged myself in work and David came in,
David: "What are you doing?"
Keifer: "What does it looks like?"
David: "It looks like you anxiously waiting for Jay's answer "
Keifer: "Very funny"
David: "So you aren't waiting for her answer, I thought you would have wanted to know right away"
Keifer: "Did she respond?" I asked excitedly
David: "I thought you were just working, why did you want to know what she respond"
Keifer: "David please" I asked in a softer tone.
David: "Good news, she accepted, Congratulations to you, now the love of your life will be working in our company"
Keifer: " David, you aren't kidding right?"
David: " No My man, she did accept"
Keifer: "wow, I couldn't believe it, did she really, I mean how did she accept, at first you said she didn't"
David: "Well I did do something that would make her accept the offer"
Keifer: "What did you do? Did you do something to make her angry"
David: "Well, not exactly"
Keifer: "What did you do?" I asked with a light threat in my voice
David: "Well I made a double offer for her best friend too, That if she decline her best friend will also loose the offer, so she had to, I mean I did not force her, But I kind of pushed her"
Keifer: "She definitely knows that you and I are behind this"
David: "I know but now let's just enjoy the fact that she accepted and she will be here tomorrow to sign the contract"
Keifer: "You mean she will be here and we get to talk to her"
David: "yeah, what else do you expect?"
I went toward David and hugged him tightly and I was so excited I even gave him a kiss.
He pushed me away,
David: " Eww, Dude, I know you are excited but please maintain social distance"
Keifer: "Anyway, Thank you so much"
David: "Come let's go and eat"
David and I moved to eat and went to our house after, I went to my room and freshened up and setlled down with my diary,
It was diary that I dedicated to Jay, whenever I wanted to talk to her, I would write that down in this, as if I was speaking to her, I know it's sound insane but it kind of calms me down.
I started writing
"Dear Jay,
Thanks for accepting the offer, I know it was difficult decision for you, but it still shows how much you care about the people around you, just like you always did, I am taking this as a sign that the universe has given me a second chance to mend us. I get to see you daily, it seems like some kind of reward for me after years of suffering without seeing you, I get to talk you. I know it is going to take time for us to go back to how we were but I will try best to earn your love and Trust again" .
Jay's POV
The next day I woke up and got ready because I was feeling nervous about the new job, Today we are supposed to sign the contract in their firm and I think we can join the next day or 2 days after, I wasn't sure, But right now I was a little anxious about how things going to happen.
I came out and Sara was waiting in her car,
Sara: "Are you sure about this? We can even stop it right now"
Jay: "No, I am fine let's do this"
I gave her a smile that partial convinced her.
We went to JJ Ltd, It was a huge building, and we went inside. Apart from all the things that happened between us, I was still proud that he made this big, He achieved his dream of building a business, in a corner of my heart I was happy for him, But at the same time I remembered the other dream that he said, the dream about building our home together, I shook head thinking that was all in the past, I should not think about anymore, because it might make me look weak.
We went inside and David was there,
David: "Welcome, Let's go to the meeting room, you will be signing your contracts there"
Both of us nodded and went in and we were seated.
Jay: "when can we sign?"
David: "2 Mins, This also has to be signed by the CEO of the company"
He means Keifer, Is that mean I have to see him and at the same time door opened,
And my heartbeat raised and was beating rapidly and my eyes met across his. I saw him properly after 8 Years and something happened in me, I felt like I was struck.
