Jay's PoV
It was lunch time, So Sara and I decide to go the food court, And settled in the seats, Then
We started talking while having our food, suddenly some guys came in front of us of started talking,
G: "You both are the new joines right?"
Jay: "Yes and you guys are"
Guy: "Actually sorry to disturb you guys in middle of the break, I am Noah from HR team and I just came to check if everything is alright and where you have to come to, Incase if you have any issues"
Sara: "Ohokay Thanks"
Noah: "oh and By the way this is Ryan one of the associate consultant in our company"
Both of us gave a polite smile,
Ryan : "If you don't mind, can we join you guys for lunch"
Before I could say anything, Sara said, "Yeah, sure"
And gave me sleek smile and I know what was she up to and honestly I wasn't interested, but they were talking and I just gave them polite answers, but they weren't that bad, So we actually had a decent conversation"
After that things went as per my usual work and David said I could get my file approved by the CEO. I sulked but I knocked and went to his cabin.
Keifer: "Come in" He looked up from his laptop and he eyes lit up when he saw me as if he is seeing something precious.
Jay: "I would like to get your initial approval for the project" I said and passed him the file.
Keifer: "Please take a seat"
Jay: "Its fine"
Keifer: "It may take a while since I like to go through everything" he said with a smirk so I sat down.
He was still smirking, while flipping the pages of the file, I know he is doing this deliberately to irritate me, to make me wait.
Jay: "How much more time it is going to take?"
Keifer: "Why what happened you used to wait for me everytime during our university days" he said with a smirk and smile.
Jay: "I don't have time for this, please call me when you are done Mr Watson" I said annoyed and Ofcourse he enjoyed annoying me.
Keifer: "Sorry Sorry Jay, it's done"
The way he said my name did something, he said it in a way like he used when we were together. It made me feel hurt and I honestly don't know why?
Jay: "It's Ashtine" and his face changed when I said that but I didn't care.
Keifer: "I am sorry Ms Ashtine, Here is your file" he said and handed over the files and I took them and left immediately without waiting.
