Keifer's POV
I get up from the floor because it was time to go to the office again, I do my daily routine and get do down
David: " Good Morning"
I just nod at him and ask, " Any message?"
David: " Keiren called"
Keifer: " How is he? Is he alright?"
David: " Yeah, he is doing well, do you want to talk to him"
Keifer: " Yeah, afterwards"
We both leave to the company, and soon the work took over us and today we finished up early than expected, it was 10:15 PM
Keifer: " David, I am going for a drive right now, what time do I have to be here tomorrow?"
David: " You cannot drive alone, I am coming with you"
Keifer: " David please, if I need you I will call, I just want to be alone"
David: " Tell me how many days are you going to act like this?, it's been 8 years for god's sake? All you do is trying to ruin yourself" he yells at me
I do not reply to him, I just take my car keys and move. I start driving fast, I drive aimlessly without any destination and finally stop somewhere in a place, away from the city and people.
I get out and sit on sideways of the road and start drinking because I don't know what to do? I couldn't stop myself from crying and drinking.
I start speaking, " Jay, it feels like hell living without you, please comeback, Now I have everything money, power but nothing matters to me, because my love, my life ,you are not here with me, I already lost myself when I lost you. I do not know how to live, I am just living for the sake of Keiren and in the hope that I will meet you again." I cough in the middle and continue
" You have to come back right?, because what I will do without you, I know I am at my fault but living without these many years is already a punishment, please come back, I will accept whatever punishment you will give me, just come back"
I quickly take my phone and dial for Edrix,
Keifer: " Edrix did you find any information about Jay?"
Edrix: " Keifer, really sorry we did not get anything"
Keifer: " it's been 8 years and still you couldn't get anything" I cut the call in Frustration.
And just like that I pass out in the sideways of the road.
Author's POV
The time was 2:10 AM, David waited for Keifer return but there was no signs of him, so he tracked his phone and found his location.
When he reached there he found him lying on the sideways, with liquor bottles around, he went towards and picked him up in his car and left to his mansion.
They reached his mansion and David took Keifer to his room and he started blabbering, " Jay, Jay please come back" he kept on blabbering and kept calling for Jay, David couldn't do anything but feel sad for his friend's condition. He made him lie on the bed.
David: " I hope everything become fine"
The next morning Keifer woke up with severe head ache, but he continued to do his usual routine and returned downstairs and started speaking
Keifer: " I am sorry and also Thanks for bringing me home" he says to David with guilt
David: " It's fine but please don't repeat this again"
Keifer just nods
David: " Keifer you have to attend an award ceremony in 2 days"
Keifer: " Why, can't you just go and accept it on my behalf"
David: " No, the shareholders expect you to be there because you aren't attending any social events, you have to attend this because it is important for the company's image"
Keifer: " fine"
JAY's POV
I finished my baking orders early in the morning and left to the office, I sat down next to Sara and We both started doing our work. Our manger called both of us in
M: " Morning, Ash and Sara"
Jay and Sara: "Morning Sir"
M: "So we have an awarding ceremony coming up and you guys have been nominated and we want you guys to attend"
S: " Sure sir, it is a great opportunity"
J: " Sir, I do not want to attend this event"
M: " But why ? This is a great opportunity"
J: "I am not interested"
M: " actually Ash, it is mandatory to attend the event, So you going to attend the event"
J: "Fine"
We both came out of his cabin,
J: " If is mandatory, he should have said it first itself"
S: " Why you did not want to attend the event?"
J: "You know I am not interested in all this"
S: " Yeah right, So are willing to go that blind date that I set you up with?"
J: "Sara, I have this so many times, I am not interested in dating and I don't want anyone"
S: " But how many days will you be like this? I known you for so many years but I haven't seen you go on a single date"
J: " Please can we move on to something else"
S: " Okay, fine"
J: " I am sorry"
S: " Sorry will be accepted only if you go groceries shopping with me?"
I smiled and said, " Okay, even I have buy some things " and she smiled at me and after finishing our work we decided to go the super market.
