Chapter 7 - School day... WOW!!!!

January 18th.

"School, how I hated it in my first life, the endless breaks, the teachers who said the same things every day…"

Silas was standing looking out the floor to ceiling windows of his room, the sky was grey and the waves were crashing against the rocks by the shore, making a quite soothing sound.

He couldn't help but lament the intricacies of life, how one day you hate something and another you're excited about it.

His hair was dripping water on the ground, clearly he had just taken a shower. You might wonder: does an Immortal Emperor need to shower?

No. But it does feel good, and you feel cleaner afterwards.

Walking over to his wardrobe he found his new "teenage" clothes.

"What should I choose today…?"

"Let's do, dark grey jeans, black t-shirt, black zip up hoodie with silver stitching… with my wool coat over this… damn! I should be a stylist."

"Well… it's a very dark outfit…"

Silas looked at his wardrobe.

"Now that I think about it… isn't my whole wardrobe kinda… dark?"

"Maybe… just maye… I shouldn't be a stylist."

With the clothes out of the way, time to head to school.

Silas walked down the stairs and through the kitchen, as he passed the kitchen island he grabbed his keys.

Just then Viktor appeared.

"Master, are you leaving?"

Silas kept walking towards the door.

"Yes, I will be back after school."

With that he opened the door and headed out.

The car was parked right in front of the house. He walked over and flung the door open and sunk into the leather seats.

Just as he was about to start the car, his phone rang.

Mikael text: Master, is the house to your liking?

Silas clicked the buttons and sent away a text.

Silas text: *thumbs up*

Then the engine roared to life, all ten cylinders firing in a beautiful symphony.

Inside the house Viktor watched as the sleek black car sped down the gravel road.

Just then a vibrating sound rang out.

Caller ID Mikael.

Viktor frowned.

"What?"

"How is the master settling in?"

"Good, didn't you send him a text?"

"I did… but all I got back was a thumbs up."

A smile grew on Viktor's face.

"Haha, you got these moments as well, old man."

"SHUT UP!"

"Where is the master now?"

Viktor looked at his hand and pondered if it was time to cut his nails.

"He is on his way to school."

Silence spread out. Viktor removed the phone from his ear and glanced at the screen, still calling.

He put his phone back to his ear. Just as he was about to speak.

"ALONE!!!"

"Are you crazy? Or am I crazy?"

"You let the master head to school on his own?"

"What if something happens? What if he needs you?"

Viktor frowned, not because the words were rude… no, because they held some truth to them.

"Then what should I do?"

"I can't just stalk him… can I."

"You better… what if he calls, and you are laying at home and rolling your thumbs?"

"But… this territory belongs to the Cullens, they will question me if they find out I'm here."

"Especially if I'm circling the school, and that would cause trouble for the master."

"Are you an idiot? Just don't get caught."

Viktor rolled his eyes, is it that easy?

"I will do my best."

"You better."

Sigh.

"How inexperienced of me not to check out the school in advance… now I don't know where it is."

Silas looked down on the map in his lap.

"Why isn't the school marked on the map? In my world, maps of sects and forbidden zones were carved in jade… here they can't even label the one building that matters?"

Just as he was cursing the map maker's eighteen generation ancestors in his heart a red truck pulled out up ahead.

Well… red and red, it was kinda orange, rusty, and black… the red was more of an overall impression at first glance.

"That truck…"

Silas seemed to be searching his memory.

"DAMN! Isn't that Bella's truck, she must know where the school is."

Silas threw the map on the passenger seat.

"Follow that red truck."

Silas drove up and laid in the truck's ass.

Can't lose it now after finding it, can we?

Sigh, he, a dignified Immortal Emperor having to resort to tailgating to find the school.

Forks.

Inside a red truck.

Bella was frantically looking at the signs her father had told her to follow.

Just then she noticed a pair of headlights in the rear view mirror.

"Great. First day and some jerk is riding my bumper. Forks off to a great start."

She frowned at the sigh, she was so taken aback by the situation she nearly missed one of the signs.

"Here, this should be it."

"Bella really knows Forks, she found the school so easily."

Silas said as he looked at the orange building in the distance.

"Now we need to put some distance between me and young Bella here."

"What if we pull into the parking lot and she gets out and wanna fight 'cause I've been tailgating her."

Silas was thinking too much, Bella was afraid to make a scene, plus the combination of a dirty rear view mirror, dirty back window, and that he was laying in her ass, she had no idea who was laying so close.

"Let's wait here."

Silas slowed down to a snail pace.

He watched as the "red" truck sped off into the distance.

He picked up his phone to check is his texts.

Nothing new.

Not surprising.

Then he pocketed his phone and stomped on the gas pedal.

…

Forks.

School Parking Lot.

Just as Bella climbed out of her truck and that loud *bang* went off.

A sleek black car pulled into the parking lot.

It was letting out a low rumble, anyone even remotely into cars found the sound pleasing.

Bella looked over and saw the car drive past, she tried to look at the driver, but the widows were pitch black.

Did she make a connection with the one who tailgated her? Of course not, someone driving such a car would never tailgate her piece of crap.

Hehe.

The black car circled around the cluster of cars until it found an empty spot. It aligned itself with the open spot and then reversed in, slotting perfectly between two rusty sedans.

Silas killed the engine and reached for the door handle.

CHAPTER END. CLIFFHANGER. HEHE.
