Silas and Jasper walked down the corridor.
"So? Why did you move to Forks? Did your parents get work in the area?"
Silas glanced at him. A 150 something vampire wants to do small talk?
"I don't have parents."
An awkward silence spread between them, so much so Bella a few feet behind felt it.
"I moved here to have a change of scenery."
It isn't false… but also not the whole truth.
"How is that going so far?"
Silas went along with the small talk.
"It's been going good."
Just then Jasper stopped.
"This is it, 2234, your locker."
Silas nodded and stepped forward, as he grabbed the lock he looked at the code on the paper.
After twisting the lock left and right a couple of times.
Click.
The locker opened, a smell like wet clothes and second hand books wafted out.
Silas twitched his nose. I just love school, you can't even imagine.
"What's your next class?"
Silas looked down at the schedule. Math.
"I have math next."
Jasper raised his eyebrows.
"My brother got that math class, Emmett."
Just then the cold aura drew closer.
Silas nodded to what Jasper said.
It must be the seer that's drawing closer.
"Jasper!"
Just then Jasper was embraced by a girl.
Silas narrowed his eyes slightly… she looked unfamiliar. I don't believe Jasper would let just any random girl hug him, no?
"Hello, Ella."
Jasper looked down at the girl that was hugging him.
Ella? Who? Not Alice? Am I not in Twilight?
Silas couldn't help but doubt his intellect. Had he guessed wrong?
"Silas, this is Ella, my girlfriend, also my adopted sister."
"Ella, this is Silas, the new guy, I'm showing him around."
Ella looked over and smiled.
"Hello."
Silas nodded in response.
Jasper then said.
"You got your stuff?"
"Yes."
"Then let's head to the math classroom, lest we get late."
Silas smacked the locker shut and fell in beside Jasper, this time slightly behind, Ella had stolen his spot.
Bella had disappeared at some point.
The three good looking people drew a lot of attention walking through the corridors.
Silas was deep in thought.
If Jasper is with Ella… then who is Alice with?
Are there more changes to the story I'm unaware off?
I should have had Cessian and Gregor investigate Forks before I arrived.
"We're here."
Jasper's voice brought him back.
"Thanks for showing me around."
Jasper nodded.
"It's fine. Also I apologize for the previous question about your parents, I didn't know."
Silas glanced at him and nodded.
"It's all good."
Jasper smiled slightly and turned to leave, Ella beside him smiled gently and waved as she followed him.
Silas turned to the classroom door and walked in, it seems the class hasn't started yet, 'cause the door was still open.
As he walked in he was greeted by a middle aged man.
"You must be…"
"You can just call me Silas Reed." Silas said quickly after seeing the man's frown, he was clearly struggling.
"Alright then Mr. Reed. Take a seat next to Mr. Cullen down there."
"By the way, you can call me Mr. Varner."
"Thank you, Mr. Varner."
Silas said as he turned to walk down to the seat furthest back, as he walked more and more students swarmed in.
Smack.
Silas put his books on the desk and sat down in the seat.
The big guy beside him who can only be Emmett turned to him.
"What's up, you must be the new guy everybody's been talking about? The mysterious and handsome one, hehe, the name is Emmett."
Emmett said as he smiled broadly, displaying his white and straight teeth.
"I am indeed the new guy, but handsome and mysterious… I don't know." Silas was impressed by how fast gossip spread.
"Hehe, that's what the girls are saying anyhow. A new handsome guy with an expressionless face, an expensive car, no backstory… even I'm intrigued."
Silas glanced over at him and smirked slightly.
"You're painting shadows in your head."
"It's nothing like that."
Emmett chuckled.
"I'm just messing with you, man."
Just then.
"Alright students, settle down, time for class."
Emmett leaned over and whispered.
"Are you any good at math?"
Silas smirked and said.
"If it's one plus one, I'm a pro."
Emmett let out a suppressed chuckle.
"You're funny, man."
"Mr. Cullen, please gossip after class."
"Yes, sir"
Class passed smoothly in this manner. Math was easy as an Immortal Emperor, it was instant comprehension, making this math as easy as one plus one… and at that I'm a pro.
Emmett glanced over out of curiosity.
"Damn! You're amazing. You're 5 problems ahead of me."
"Is that amazing? Are you very good at math?"
Emmett was taken aback. Was he good at math? Not really. But it help to complete school a handful of times.
"I'm kinda good."
"Have you gone to some fancy private school or something? Were you homeschooled?"
Silas raised his head, looked at the board then turned to look at Emmett.
"Neither."
"Really?" Emmett looked disbelieving.
"Really."
Just as he answered the bell rang.
Ring~
Silas closed his books and stacked them on top of each other, then stood up from his seat.
"It was nice meeting you Emmett, let's see each other in the next math class."
"Sure thing." Emmett said absentmindedly.
…
Silas walked through the corridors using his divine sense to see where everyone was and then predict their path.
This method offered a smooth passage through the crowd.
He arrived at his locker and threw his books in glance at the schedule and grabbed the books for the next history class.
He easily found the history classroom, and the class passed smoothly, no Cullens in this class. No Bella either.
The next class was PE.
His fit for this class was quite simple.
White sneakers, Black sweat pants, and a black compression shirt.
It drew glances in this backwater town.
"Wow, is that the new guy!?"
"Look at those abs…"
"Forget about the abs, look at that back and those arms."
"Shh~ he can hear you."
Silas shook his head imperceptibly. He was used to stares, in this and his previous life.
He walked over to the basketball court.
Just as he was about to sit down and wait for the teacher, a ball flew over.
He grabbed it instinctually before it hit his head. He frowned and looked over to the group of guys on the other side of the court.
"Sorry man, slipped right outta my hands." He showed a fake apologetic smile.
Two guys behind him snickered.
Silas felt displeased. What were these morons up to?
"It's fine." He threw the ball back.
As the guy in the lead caught the ball and turned around, another round of laughter ensued, this time they didn't even try to disguise it.
The guys kept playing, and less than a minute later, the ball flew back.
Silas caught it with minimal effort. But this time he was starting to get displeased. Before he didn't care… but he had already been magnanimous and let it slide once.
They were blatantly trying to make fun of him.
Just as he was about to stand up a whistle spread through the air.
"Gather around, gather around."
Silas looked over. It was the PE teacher who decided to show up.
Silas let go of the ball and walked over.
The teacher went on and on about this and that. Nothing that mattered to anyone except a select few. Just waste of time.
The guys were split into two groups and given colored vests to tell the teams apart.
Silas looked over at the guys who had been provoking him before, they were on the opposite team.
Hehe.
This was gonna be fun.
CHAPTER END.
