Tori's POV
The smirk on Kael's face only irritated me even more. His face just switched from being angry to something else. I was still trying to catch my breath due to the exhaustion.
Before I could say another word, one of the guards suddenly stepped forward loudly, immediately pulling everyone's attention away from us.
"All remaining participants are to follow us immediately."
The atmosphere inside the arena shifted almost instantly.
The girls who had been whispering earlier immediately fell silent again while uneasiness slowly settled over everyone's faces.
Nobody knew what was coming next, that was the worst part about this place. The council and everyone else who was watching seemed like they have a good idea about this place.
I adjusted the coat coat tighter around myself before following behind the others quietly. The exhaustion from earlier still weighed heavily on my body, but there was no time to rest now.
