Tori's POV
After the meeting with him, I walked back into the room quietly, but my steps halted almost immediately after I noticed every single person staring at me.
I bet they were also shocked just like the way I was when I saw him here.
The atmosphere changed the moment I stepped in. Conversations that were happening before suddenly died down, leaving nothing but an uncomfortable silence hanging heavily in the air.
I already knew what they were thinking. "That bitch is so lucky… I wonder what he came here to see her for…"
They were probably wondering what someone like Kael could possibly want with me for that long. Honestly, I would have been wondering the same thing too if I were in their shoes.
I took in a slow breath before straightening my shoulders slightly.
I should probably just do what he told me to do and get this over with.
"Hello everyone," I started while forcing a small smile onto my face. "Kael asked me to pass some information across."
