Chapter 41
Tori's POV
Nicole had been sitting in my room for several minutes now, yet neither of us had managed to say anything meaningful to each other.
The silence wasn't exactly awkward, but it definitely wasn't comfortable either. It felt heavy somehow, like both of us were thinking too much and speaking too little.
My mind was on what happen to Kael yesterday and the way in which I had comforted him. I didn't know if I did the right thing or not.
After everything he made me go through here, I should have made him a laughing stock but I found myself hugging him instead.
It even came as a shock to him
It turned out what I had assumed was true. He was just projecting his old self unto others because he hated that side of him.
Crazy, if you ask me.
"Is this how badly you missed my presence?" I finally broke the silence while shaking my head slightly. "Because you've been here all this time and you haven't said anything useful."
