Ney'tar's father told him to teach me to survive and to fight. I don't know what exactly will be needed for it, but I hope I can get this right and stay out of their way. Ney'tar spoke mostly in Na'vi, and I kept up easily since I kept studying the language. Ney'tar tried teaching me archery, but I was better at it than he thought. I told him I took up archery for fun back on Earth for fun, and he was impressed. He showed me how to fall from high places. He was strict, but I kept up better than even I thought.
I jumped down, sliding down the giant leaves, and slid down more easily, still holding onto my bow, but I landed on my back at the end. I coughed, the wind knocked out of me. I sat up, rubbing the back of my head, and my ears twitched. Ney'tar looked impressed. I got up and dusted myself off. Since Ney'tar's clan were only teaching me how to survive, they didn't have me dress like them, so I was just learning how to survive on Pandora and work with its environment of the forest. I enjoyed learning how to survive.
"You are very good at this," Ney'tar said as I balanced as we walked along the floating mountains.
"I'd hope so," I laughed, walking along the roots and rocks.
"I'm surprised," he said, walking beside me. "I thought sky people would just topple."
"I took on gymnastics, which helps me keep balance and stay flexible," I explained, but he didn't quite understand, probably the part about gymnastics. I ran ahead and showed him some gymnastics I learned.
"Ruby!" Ney'tar called after me. I moved quickly and moved up along the rocks and roots. When I landed and looked back with a smile. He looked shocked at what I did.
"Surprised?" I laughed, Ney'tar shook his head out of the shock.
"How did you do that without falling?" He asked, making his way over to me.
"Years of practice," I told him as we got higher up, and ikran came flying over us. "Wow,"
"Ikran, once you are ready, you can bond with one," Ney'tar told me. We walked and explored. I loved the view from up on these floating mountains. I couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery. Ney'tar stayed close, I would stop on stable ground, and looked out every so often, admiring the wonderful view. It was better than anything on Earth that Ive seen. I honestly would adore living here instead of Earth and exploring all I can.
