Chapter 12 - War For Pandora

Ney'tar and I said close enough to keep an eye on Jake's avatar, but far enough to talk. I still couldn't stop looking at the situation and my place in it in a dark light. Ney'tar will probably constantly look at me and try to point out how I look at myself differently.

"This isn't over. I know war is coming," I said, "They are going to come back and go after the Tree of Souls."

Ney'tar looked at me, his eyes sharp, and anger boiled in his gaze.

"They can't," he said.

"They will, I know them well enough to know they will rip this world apart," I told him, "You should go, prepare your people for war coming."

"What will you do?" Ney'tar asked, never leaving my side.

"I am going to get set up to fight," I told him. "I have experience fighting like them, and I plan on using it against them."

"You won't be fighting alone," Ney'tar said, taking my hand. I looked at him. "The clan of Niwan will stand by you."

"Thank you," I said to him, looking at Mewsia. "Let's go, we have a battle to win."

"I'll tell my family and clan," Ney'tar said, climbing on his Ikran. "I'll meet you at the tree."

"I'll see you there," I said, climbing onto Mewsia, and took off. I headed back to my settlement. I have some throat microphones to use, and keep in contact with each other. Mewsia carried me the entire way.

"Ruby," Mewsia said through the connection. "This war will change Pandora forever."

"I know," I said to her.

"It will change you too." She continued. "These changes in you, they're only just beginning."

I looked out as we flew over the forest to the shed with the airship still on it. We went to the and landed with my settlement, and I got off. Heading inside and closed the door, and took a Seat on the sofa I put in the living space for my avatar, and hit a point on my neck to knock myself out. Then I woke up in my human body. I got up from the bed, and put on the oxygen mask, and made my way out of the chamber, keeping the toxic air out and human air in. I climbed up to the airship, and got it started, and hit the switch to drop the shed. Pulling the levers to start flying, I took off, and made my way to Ney'tar's home.

I drove the airship to the tree, and landed it close by, and shut off the airship, and picked up the throat microphones, one for Ney'tar, the other for me. I put one on my Avatar a little while ago when I first left the RDA. I stepped out, and made my way to the tree, and Ney'tar came out, his eyes widened a little seeing me.

"Ruby," he said, surprised. "You look..."

"Alien?" I asked,

"No, no, I didn't mean," Ney'tar came closer and looked down at me, trying to figure out the words. Then he knealed down to me. Then he finally said; "You look... beautiful,"

I was surprised, I wasn't expecting that. His eyes were kind. I shook my head and got close, and stood up on my toes, reaching up and clicking on the throat microphone around his neck.

"To keep in touch in the fight." Places my hand on both the buttons, and against his skin. "Place your finger and thumb on these and talk into it, I'll hear you."

Ney'tar nodded, then stood up. That's when we heard a huge roar. I looked up, and there was this huge Ikran with bright reds and yellow colors.

"Shit," I said. "That's Jake on there,"

"You go," Ney'tar said, heading back to the tree, "I'll ensure your brother doesn't know you're here."

"Thank you, Ney'tar. " I get back to my airship and get in, and fly it to the floating mountains of Pandora.
