Chapter 35 – The 24 Portal Crisis
Our story begins from where it ended.
For the first time, we are shown the Prime Minister of America, a man named Jackson. Behind his name, the title Hunter was written — National Hunter Jackson.
Jackson's security officer said:
"Sir, a total of 24 portals have opened in New York City. This has never happened before. If we don't do something, the entire city could be destroyed."
Jackson –
With a cold expression on his face, he simply gestures with his hand, telling the officer to leave.
The officer leaves.
Jackson remains silent and keeps looking outside through the window.
The scene changes.
On the side of the Justice Guild, the hooded man is explaining everything to his leader.
Justice Guild Leader –
"You are saying that one of our bases has already been exposed to the world? All the effort we put into this… was wasted?"
A blue-colored aura begins to come out of his body.
The hooded man falls at his feet and starts begging for forgiveness. But the leader ignores him and suddenly punches another person standing nearby.
The power of the punch is so strong that the man's head disappears instantly.
The impact of the power shakes the entire building, and everyone present starts trembling in fear.
Justice Guild Leader –
"In our organization, failure has only one punishment… death.
You have revealed our entire plan to the world.
You already know what I will do to you."
The leader is still wearing a mask on his face.
He then kicks the hooded man with a single powerful kick. The man flies away, breaking parts of the building before falling far away.
The scene shifts to the city.
After people learn about the portals, everyone starts running in panic. Military forces have already arrived everywhere and are pushing people away from the portals.
Breaking News Reporter –
"It is shocking that until now no hunters or guild leaders have appeared here. Only the military can be seen trying to control the situation.
The cracks on the portals are slowly increasing. They could break at any moment, but no hunter has arrived yet."
The next scene shows a huge building.
All the guild leaders of the country are gathered there. Leaders of both small and large guilds are present. The entire country's guild leaders have gathered in one place.
The Prime Minister is also sitting there.
Everyone looks confused about why they were called here. They are quietly talking to each other.
Suddenly, the doors open.
A man walks inside.
The moment he enters, everyone becomes shocked. No one has the courage to speak.
The person who has arrived is the leader of the Justice Guild.
He walks straight to the stage and sits on the chair placed there.
Everyone is surprised and wondering why he was invited.
The scene changes again.
This time we see a hospital.
Suddenly, two people crash through a room's door and fall outside, hitting the wall so hard that it breaks.
A person surrounded by a black aura slowly walks toward them.
It is revealed that the person who hit the wall is the MC, Navi.
Navi –
"Who are you?"
Beggar –
With a cute smile, he says,
"Do I look cute… or scary?"
Then he smiles again and says,
"I am your friend. I am Jake Lee… the Beggar."
MC –
Navi throws a punch, sending the beggar flying away.
Beggar –
"I am impressed after seeing your power."
Inside the hospital, people are running everywhere in fear, and because of their fight the entire place is being destroyed.
Writer's Important Note
Anything can happen in this story.
The main villain can die, and even the hero can die.
It will not affect the story.
There is no main hero here and no main villain either. Everyone here is just a side character.
The true villain of this story… is the writer himself.
