Chapter 41 – The Night of Slaughter Begins
The story begins right where it left off.
We see the White Ghost Knight standing in a field of corpses. Bodies lie scattered everywhere—he has already killed many people.
At that moment, a man approaches him.
Unknown Man:
"Sir, you need to go to America. A request for help has come from there. Would you like to go?"
Ghost Knight:
"Alright. I was planning to go there anyway. Clean up these bodies."
Unknown Man:
"Yes, sir. Also… I have a request from our Guild Leader. It's up to you whether you accept it or not."
Ghost Knight:
"Tell me the job first."
Unknown Man:
"You need to retrieve a Dragon Core from the Tiger Guild. In return, you'll get anything you ask for."
Ghost Knight:
"Fine. It's done."
The man turns around.
"Where did he go…? He disappeared so suddenly."
He mutters under his breath:
"In America… there will be a massacre. This man is extremely ruthless. Since he arrived, he has killed countless powerful monsters…"
He picks up his phone and starts talking.
Unknown Man:
"Sir, I've convinced the White Ghost Knight. He agreed to do our job. He's a solo hunter, so our name won't be involved."
Suddenly—
A sword pierces through his stomach.
He doesn't even realize what happened.
"W-Who… are you…?"
The Ghost Knight grabs his phone.
Ghost Knight:
"Hello…"
Guild Leader (on phone):
"How are you?"
Ghost Knight (coldly):
"You dared to use my name?"
Now revealed clearly—it is the Ghost Knight himself.
Ghost Knight:
"How did you even think of trapping me? Tonight… is the last night of your guild. Gather as many members as you can… because I'm coming. It has already begun."
Guild Leader:
"Ghost Knight… you've made a mistake. Come. I'll be waiting for you. I'll crush your arrogance."
Scene Shift – Inside the Guild
Panic spreads among the hunters.
Hunter 1 (trembling):
"Sir… did he really threaten to kill all of us?"
Hunter 2:
"In just five months, he has destroyed so many guilds… none of us will survive!"
Guild Leader (shouting):
"Silence! There's nothing to fear! I'll kill him before he gets the chance! Gather all the strongest hunters! Call every S-Rank hunter!"
Back to Ghost Knight
He smiles.
The man with the sword in his stomach is still alive, blood dripping to the ground…
Man (begging):
"Sir… please spare me… I'm just a messenger…"
Ghost Knight:
"My weapon is thirsty for blood… and it wants yours."
With a single slash—
The man's body is cut into two pieces.
Blood scatters into the air.
Scene Shift – Navi
Navi stands near a window inside an empty hospital.
Billy stands beside him.
Billy:
"Sir, I've spoken with my father. We've been assigned to handle this portal. We have 50 hunters. Any further orders?"
Navi:
"First, surround the portal. Every hunter should maintain a 500-meter distance. Give everyone earpieces—we stay connected at all times."
Billy:
"Yes, sir."
Navi:
"How many hunters do we have exactly?"
Billy:
"50 total.
10 A-Rank, 1 S-Rank, 40 B-Rank, and 9 C-Rank."
Navi:
"Good. No one enters the hospital, no matter what. I've set traps inside for the monsters. Try to lure all monsters into the hospital—I'll handle the rest. And bring me my machine gun."
Soon, an S-Rank hunter arrives.
A girl enters the room.
Long hair, black battle suit, glowing blue eyes, holding two large knives.
She looks both beautiful and deadly.
Star:
"Sir, my name is Star. I'm from the Assistant Guild. What are your orders?"
Navi:
"You'll monitor the portal from above. Report every movement to me. And protect the healers."
Suddenly, someone knocks and enters.
Before he can react—
Star appears behind him instantly and places a knife on his neck.
Star:
"Who are you?!"
Unknown Person (nervous):
"M-Ma'am… I'm just a D-Rank hunter…"
Navi checks through the shadow.
Shadow:
"No killing intent detected… but he's powerful."
Navi:
"Show me your real face."
The mask falls.
A girl appears.
Red hair. Brown eyes. Red battle suit radiating danger.
Unknown Girl:
"My name is Piece. I was sent by the President to assist you, Mr. Navi."
She hands him a black card.
Piece:
"This card allows you to purchase any S-Rank weapon."
Navi (surprised):
"Why such generosity?"
Piece:
"I don't know. I only follow orders."
Navi:
"One request… no matter what happens, do not enter the hospital."
Piece releases her killing intent.
A deep red aura fills the room.
Navi feels immense pressure.
Navi (thinking):
"Such terrifying power… in such a small body…"
Piece (smirking):
"We'll see, Mr. Navi."
Final Scene
The portal begins to crack—
Monsters slowly start emerging.
Hunter (through earpiece):
"Sir! Monsters are coming out!"
Navi:
"Hold your positions. Report everything."
Navi looks at the shadow.
Navi:
"It's time."
He jumps out of the window—heading straight toward the portal.
And behind him…
Two glowing eyes appear at the window.
Watching.
