Chapter 39
Our story begins from the same point where it ended.
Kartik (Villain) –
Kartik had already destroyed the condition of the Black Shadow.
Black Shadow –
"How are all your wounds healing? You should have died," he asked in complete shock.
Kartik –
He smiles. The ring given by the statue activates, and golden lightning starts flashing throughout the cave. The statue itself begins to break—the same statue from which the Black Shadow created its formation. Seeing this, the Black Shadow becomes even more shocked.
At that moment, golden armor starts forming over Kartik's body, and golden lightning begins to surge from it, continuously damaging the Black Shadow.
The Black Shadow starts to feel fear.
Kartik –
"So, what's the matter? I treated you like a pet… and you ended up biting your own master. Even a dog would be better than you.
Now tell me… what should I do with you?"
Black Shadow –
Trembling in fear, it says, "Forgive me… please forgive me just once. It won't happen again."
Kartik –
Grabbing its face, he says, "How can I forgive you? Because of you, one of my plans failed. Now tell me… what punishment do you deserve?"
Kartik continues,
"I'll give you two options—
Either become my slave… my pet dog. I'll even give you a collar to wear around your neck…
Or fight me with your honor.
You have one minute to decide."
He was humiliating it badly.
Black Shadow –
Anger rises within it.
"I will never become your slave!"
It shouts and throws a punch at high speed.
But—
Black Shadow –
It becomes shocked. Kartik was no longer standing there.
Suddenly, Kartik's voice comes from behind—
"Good choice… you chose to fight.
To be honest, that's exactly what I wanted. I also wanted to fight you."
He says this with an evil smile.
The Black Shadow turns back and attacks again, but Kartik disappears instantly once more.
"You're too slow… you're not even worthy of becoming my pet."
Kartik continues mocking him, making the Black Shadow even angrier.
In rage, the Black Shadow throws another punch—
But Kartik casually stops it with one hand and delivers a powerful kick to its face.
BOOM!
The Black Shadow is thrown far away and crashes into the cave wall.
Kartik –
"Get up quickly… don't tell me you lost from just one kick."
Black Shadow –
It stands up in anger, but suddenly freezes in shock—
Kartik is already holding its arm.
Before it could even realize… Kartik had torn its arm off.
The Black Shadow screams in pain, while Kartik simply smiles.
But then—
The torn arm begins regenerating on its own.
Seeing this, Kartik becomes even more excited.
Kartik –
"So you have this ability too… now I want to see how long you can keep regenerating your body parts."
He smiles wickedly.
"Now this is getting interesting… I can finally use my real power."
Black Shadow –
"I'll show you my power!"
It activates a skill and instantly disappears. The entire cave fills with black aura.
"I know you're powerful… but I have more experience than you. I've lived for millions of years. I've killed beings far stronger than you."
Kartik –
"Hiding in the dark and attacking? Is that your style? I'm not impressed."
Suddenly—
A powerful punch lands on Kartik's face.
He is pushed slightly backward.
Black Shadow –
"How does it feel to get hit?"
It launches multiple punches, and blood starts coming out of Kartik's mouth.
Seeing this, the Black Shadow smiles.
"Where is your attitude now?"
Kartik –
Laughing, he says,
"I'm impressed by your skills… but making me angry was your biggest mistake."
His laughter echoes throughout the cave.
The sound becomes unbearable.
The Black Shadow screams,
"STOP LAUGHING!"
The black aura slowly disappears. The Black Shadow falls to the ground, holding its ears in pain.
We then see how Kartik caused all of this.
A powerful shockwave spreads from him.
His hand glows with golden light, lightning crackling around it.
Kartik –
"This is my new skill… 'Voice Attack.'
Right now, I used only 20% of its power… now I'll use 50%."
As he activates it—
The entire cave begins to crack. Walls start breaking apart.
The more Kartik increases the power, the more the Black Shadow screams in unbearable pain.
Finally, Kartik deactivates the skill.
The cave is almost destroyed… and the Black Shadow is in terrible condition.
Kartik –
"You will become my experiment…
Someone on whom I can test my new skills every day."
Black Shadow –
"T-You're a monster… even enemies don't treat each other like this…"
Kartik –
Smirking, he replies,
"I do."
Kartik –
"I want to test one more skill on you… let's see if you're useful."
The Black Shadow becomes terrified.
But suddenly—
Kartik freezes in shock.
As he uses his skill, the pain that should have affected the Black Shadow… starts affecting him instead.
Kartik screams in pain.
Black Shadow –
Slowly smiles.
"You're a fool… did you really think you could defeat me so easily?"
"I forgot to tell you… this is also one of my skills.
Any damage you deal to me… is reflected back to you."
It breaks its own finger—
And Kartik screams in pain.
"Now… are you enjoying it?"
It says with an evil smile.
Scene Shift
The scene shifts to the hunters.
Leader of Justice Guild –
"My Justice Guild is detecting the highest readings here. You all handle your own areas."
He quickly leaves, saying,
"I need to prepare my team."
Everyone is shocked—he didn't even ask the President.
Stave –
"Sir, my Tiger Guild will handle the portal. I need to return to my team."
"Sir, I have a request… the portal near the hospital—let my son handle it. He will lead that team."
President –
"Are you serious? That's an S-rank portal. Your son is only A-rank."
Stave –
"Sir, trust me… my son can handle it."
President –
"Fine… but I'll still send someone to assist him. Your son will lead the team."
Stave –
"Understood, sir."
The President makes a call… assigning someone to go there.
