Rei woke up with a groan, confused with what he was feeling and the vision he was seeing. His body felt like it was on fire yet somewhat familiar to him as if it was a part of him. The area was bright and was similar to a hospital setting with their bright lights and environment. "What happened?" He said in his thoughts before groaning and wincing in pain upon raising up from the bed.
Everything was confusing as he tried to recall what happened. "I remember meeting that sorceress then tagging her along to get what she needed from one of things that I own…" He coughed before trying to ease up his throat by rubbing his neck with his hand. "Then everything went down… Wait!"
He suddenly recalled what happened as every memory sent him into a spiralling state of emotions. What he felt was hopelessness, courage then numbness. Rei couldn't remember what happened next when he broke the marble during the whole ordeal as he tried to push his luck to remember things.
"Young man."
He was startled by them before staring at the old man with white hair in front of him. How long was the guy there not watching him have an internal debate?
"Do you remember anything?" They asked, which Rei responded back immediately after seeing a symbol on their robe that Eunji had on her coat. "A bit…"
The white haired individual had a robe similar to what a fantasy genre of a film those wizards would wear except they didn't have a staff with them or a wizard cap on their head. "I see… Then let me run a brief recap for you."

Eunji was about to face the hit until the possessed Rei stopped in between, their hands shaking as if it was nervous. "Hm??? Is he gaining his consciousness?" They said which startled her as she wondered how Rei was still alive after being taken over by the ancient being.
"That's strange… They normally die when I take over but can this vessel handle me and my power?"
His statement confirmed something that Eunji was thinking. If Rei didn't dissolve minutes later after being taken over by the ancient being then he had become a suitable vessel. "Let go… You f***ker" Eunji cussed as she tried to withdraw her hand from him.
"Fine." They said before letting go not before harassing her when a golden yellow energy formed into a limb which became a hand. The strange sensation of its energy touching her skin upon hiking up her shirt, feeling itself on her waist then onto her abs. "Yup. Just like my type of woman. Too bad I don't have enough time."
Eunji felt humiliated as she tried to fight back but couldn't due to the exhaustion of her energy being almost drained and her internal injuries still needing more treatment. "Bastard…" she uttered before glaring at them, her eyes no more glowing and the aura of her energy already diminishing.
"I would've tried playing with you more but I'll let it slide this time." They said before dropping her down, the possessed Rei looked over to their surroundings as if surveying the area.
"What a cramped space… Guess I'll sleep for a while…"
The powerful energy immediately disappeared as Rei went unconscious before falling to the floor. He didn't hit the ground as Sylvie immediately dashed in to catch him, her mint-green aura emitting from her body. "Rei!"
Eunji sighed in relief before contacting someone on her phone. "Headmaster. I found the marble but we got into a bit of a situation…"

"So that's what happened?" Rei asked, still in total disbelief of what had happened to him and to them when he was out of commission.
"Yes. It's unbelievable that you survived the process upon breaking the relic but it's a blessing that you're not dead despite becoming its vessel." They said as Rei nodded his head for a bit before the old man started explaining his situation.
"You are now an important figure. Gaining an immeasurable power from the ancient being that resided in the relic you had broken. For instance, sorcerers would have the authority to execute since this is a threat above our league to let you live. However, I had a suggestion to postpone your death."
Rei looked hopeless as he listened to the headmaster's further explanation while pushing away the thoughts about his execution.
"We let you live in exchange for using you as a detector for finding the remaining relics of the 'Fallen'. In this way, you could still live and do something worth remembering before your inevitable death." The old man said that Rei accepted his statement while having the doubt that he'll be living for long.
"No need to worry. Those relics are hard to discover since the one we just found is just the third one out of nine marbles." The old man reassured Rei before adding more, "We've been looking for it since the 2700s so it's gonna be a long while before being able to find the rest."
The statement gave him a sense of comfort, knowing that he still had a long life to live before his execution. "That's why I'm recommending you to join our academy for further supervision and safety while not letting anyone get their hands on you for corrupt usage." He had a point since Rei wasn't anyone ordinary in the background anymore.
"I see… Anything else I should know?" Rei asked while the man shook his head. "Nothing for now. I'll have young Eunji to contact you with any further enquiries. I'll see you around, young Rei." The old man said before getting up from their seat and leaving the room, allowing the black haired male to relax and have time to himself.
"Ordinary… Seems like I have to live a lively life now…" he muttered to himself before closing his eyes to relax.

"You're recommending him into Kamigami Academy?!" Eunji said before coughing as she held herself to keep herself steady. "Why?" She asked, wondering why the old man had chosen that option.
"That's because he's a vessel of the 'Fallen' which makes things confusing and in need of more supervision." They said before continuing more. "We need to observe him since he survived the process of becoming their vessel. There's no records of any survivors being able to handle the ancient relic's power and the fact that it belongs to the 'Fallen' which makes it even more important for us to know how young Rei's body is able to contain such a thing." The man said which made a lot of sense for Eunji, understanding their intentions as she could only nod her head.
"Anything else?" She asked as the male only shook his head. "Nothing aside from you being his primary caretaker and guardian until he arrives at Kamigami Academy in which Eri will take over the spot of a caretaker and guardian since there's no records of his family being around him."
Eunji sighed as she nodded her head. "Alright headmaster. I guess I'll contact him as soon as possible." She said as the older male had left her alone in the room.
Allowing her to have time for herself to recover and think things straight while trying to forget a certain memory about the incident in which she didn't say anything to the headmaster.
"Bride offering… Why do I attract these things…" she muttered to herself before heading back to take a nap or sleep depending on her exhaustion.
Although, she wouldn't be able to sleep for a good minute or rest since her mind kept on replaying how the ancient being was flirting with her nor why did they decide to play around rather than ending them on the spot.
