Rei walked in the hall where the staff had guided him as he immediately saw Sylvie before approaching her after they told him to wait here with the only and other applicants. "Hey, Sylvie!" He called out as Sylvie turned around before waving at him. "Sup." She said before the two sat next to each other.
"How's your exams?" Sylvie asked while Rei smiled, "Pretty well. I'm sure I passed the written exam but the physical exam is what I'm worried about."
She understood what he meant since she had seen his prowess multiple times after the incident at their school during the 3rd year which was devastating for students and teachers with their personal mishaps that happened. "Did they know about your prowess?" Sylvie asked while Rei shrugged, "I see… They are probably still gonna accept you if your physical exams are well done." She said while Rei sighed before agreeing with her.
"I hope so too. Anyways, what scores did you get?" Rei asked, curious for her performance. "I got 35 kg for the grip test. The stamina test wasn't enough for me since I only lasted for almost an hour since I was dealing with my exhaustion and spiritual energy draining. The boxing punch got me at 880 for the boxing machine test while the shot-put got me at 836 metres." Sylvie said which made the black haired male impressed at her.
The two were just relaxing while waiting for any of the staff or proctor to announce their results until Eunji was the one who entered the room. "A quick meeting is being held so I have to be the one to tell the news." She said before checking on the papers on her hand.
"Rei Nishimura. You scored 87 out of 100 in the written test so you automatically pass since the passing grade is 50. The physical exams on the other hand, you passed with a total of 80% out of 100% from the test." Eunji said before looking over to Sylvie as she raised an eyebrow upon looking at the paper, "Sylvie Seraphim. You took the written test with a 100 score which is highly impressive since there's only 1 out of 40 applicants that can achieve perfect scores."
Rei whistled at the score as he knew that Sylvie was smart but was just laid back and carefree since they really didn't follow the strict rules of their school unless if a teacher or something important is involved
"For the physical examination. You passed with a 85% out of 100% from the total accumulated grades of the entire physical tests." Eunji said before looking over to the two as she handed them the papers that had their results in it, "Congratulations, you two are accepted by Kamigami Academy with these results."
The two smiled as they celebrated while Eunji let them be for a solid minute or two before grabbing their attention as she continued. "I'll escort you two to the dorms to get used to life. Your classes start either in the afternoon or tomorrow depending on the headmaster's notice through your emails. Please check it after settling down." She said before guiding them to the dormitories respectively as Sylvie went with Eunji to the female side while Rei was only guided on the entrance of the male's dormitory.

Rei walked around the lobby as he handed his documents to the head security of the area. "I see. Welcome to Kamigami Academy. Enjoy your school year!" The old man said with a delightful attitude after handing him the documents with the keys to his dorm room which made Rei felt appreciated since this was the first time that someone was kind and friendly with him except for those occasional times he got late for school since the elderly kept on chatting with him after seeing the uniform he's wearing.
"Phew… Let's get started then." He muttered to himself upon arriving at the designated room for him. Rei entered the room as he was surprised at the space that had a lot of area for him to walk around.
It wasn't like the old apartment that he used to live in since there was a lot of room to walk around compared to what he had to live in back then. Rei started settling as he unpacked his stuff upon reaching the bedroom since the living room had already got the stuff that he mostly needed which was explained by Eunji when they were on the way to the dorms.
Her explanation for the general stuff being provided by the academy was understandable since most students wouldn't be able to afford all those luxurious items except for ones who got that much money and wealth. "Man… The only thing that I need left is groceries but that could be fixed tomorrow or later since the cafeteria is open until dinner from what she said…" Rei muttered to himself as he wiped the sweat from his forehead after hours of unpacking and putting everything in place.
Rei looked at the time he had spent before going to the bathroom and taking a quick shower. He took his time since it was about to be lunch time as he planned to meet up with Sylvie before they check their emails if they have to attend classes for today.
"Kamigami Academy… Let's do this…" he muttered to himself before heading out of the room and locking it behind him after putting on the white polo shirt and red necktie while putting on the grey blazer and the left arm band that was given to him by Eunji when they were collecting things needed for the academy.

Sylvie was waiting for Rei after Eunji had escorted her to the cafeteria before leaving her since she still had things to do as a student which surprised her due to not knowing she was her senior based on the academic year. From Sylvie's perspective, Rei and her are new freshly fifth year students in Kamigami Academy while Eunji is the experienced sixth year student that will have to deal a lot with the duo.
"Is he lost or what?" Sylvie thought to herself as she waited for the black hair male to arrive since she told him to meet up before checking their email for their schedule.
After what seemed to be eternity, Rei arrived as the magenta girl waved at the male to grab his attention. "Sorry. Got lost for a bit before seeing the directions in the lobby." He apologised while walking next to Sylvie to grab a quick lunch before they head somewhere to check the email on their phones.
"It's fine. I should be used to it but it's amusing to know that you always get lost somewhere you're not used to." She teased which made the male scoff before hitting her shoulder lightly, "Come on. I said I'm sorry. You can't change that about someone if they are that confused with the environment." Rei said while checking out the menu as Sylvie had already grabbed hers.
Sylvie waited for Rei as she chuckled after she saw him order a lot which made the staff surprised before giving the food he ordered. "Really? The first thing you ordered in the academy is lots of protein and veggies?" She teased as the male chuckled before responding back, "Can't help it. I have to maintain my calorie intake for this body of mine."
She couldn't help but agree with his statement since Rei was physically fit and had an intense workout regime that Sylvie witnessed herself one time when visiting him during the weekends. Needless to say, she will never understand how the guy is determined to workout physically when prowess exists.
The two went around to find a space for themselves to eat while chatting after taking a bite or swallowing the food they ate. "You think this academy is gonna focus on hierarchy levels?" Sylvie asked which made Rei sigh. "No clue but I hope that it ain't worse than before since the ones we had were literally children that couldn't think properly." He said while Sylvie silently agreed to his response.
The hierarchy was something the two had hated since they mostly experienced the true nature of a person when awakened with a prowess that was powerful. Tyranny and abuse of power which is commonly used and known everywhere in Hong Kong in every middle and high school. Rei was a victim twice in the hierarchy due to how obsessed people were to be praised or not to get involved with taunts and torments.
"Hey."
A voice brought Rei and Sylvie's attention as they saw a Japanese girl with pink hair and blue eyes. They were surprised at how she looked so similar to someone at their previous school except for the straight hair and attitude.
"Erm… Hi?" Rei responded awkwardly which made Sylvie laugh mentally but had to maintain a professional look. "I haven't seen you two around here… I'm guessing that you two are new students." The pink haired girl said while locking eyes with the two which intensified the atmosphere between them.
Rei and Sylvie had no clue what to do since they are not used to the setting in Ethereal especially when they are attending Kamigami Academy which they only found out from Eunji that it's one of the places that rarely or barely accepts any students due to their complex curriculum.
"That's nice that you two are accepted this late." She said which made the duo tense up as the atmosphere between them intensified.
