Rei was packing up the remaining things that he had from his old apartment that got demolished from the incident but was able to get everything he needed. Eunji waited for him as she waited for him outside since Rei needed permission from her to be able to enter the scene that's currently in investigation.
The officers outside were waiting for Eunji's orders since her profession was ranked higher and more prioritised than theirs. "I got everything, Jeong." Rei said as he had at least two boxes and luggage, "I didn't have anything important since I only had my clothes and personal belongings… the rest were just here before I even moved in."
The two were walking for quite awhile which was quiet and relaxing since Rei didn't have to deal with constant talks that were not important to him but would only appreciate it if it was relevant. "You'll be entering Kamigami Academy through recommendations. Normally, we all apply for it which would take months of waiting but recommendations will give you an advantage due to being prioritised by the headmaster or whoever put you in a recommendation category." Eunji explained as he nodded before following her to what looked like a portal that was in the middle of the plaza.
Rei was about to ask when a familiar silhouette is next to the portal. "Rei! Over here!" Sylvie? It was strange since she already knew that he was leaving but never talked about what was next. "Sylvie? Came to say goodbye?" Rei asked before the magenta haired girl smirked, "Nope! My mother recommended me to Kamigami Academy for my career so I think we'll be seeing each other quite often but depending on our schedule!" She said cheerfully before hearing Eunji sighed.
"Let's go you two. We can't be late since the headmaster has already arranged your examination with Sylvie today." Eunji said as the duo followed suit after she went into the portal. "Alright. Here goes nothing." Rei muttered before following Sylvie who had already crossed the portal.

Rei expected to be in a place that was complex and advanced further than Hong Kong or any country that he had seen online. However, what he saw was different as the scenery was beautiful from how the buildings were not covering any of the view of the skies. It was like he had travelled through time where it was the medieval ages, a kingdom where technology didn't exist yet.
"It's beautiful…" Sylvie commented which Rei also agreed as the two were looking over the place. The only difference was the people still wore modern clothing and had a bit of technology that worked differently than what they have seen before.
Instead of the circuit and cable like applications that they would see, it was items infused with a sort of energy except for phones and tablets that they occasionally see when passing by some cafés and restaurants. "Are they using spiritual energy for those?" Rei asked as his prowess was detecting the use of spiritual energy around them through his passive ability.
"Yes. We use spiritual energy which we call mana around here as a different source other than using fossil fuels or electricity. The only thing we don't apply mana with is when technologies are private usages and confidential information such as phones, computers and televisions." Eunji answered without a single care of her tone yet was polite with her manners.
Rei and Sylvie looked around, intrigued with how everyone living in this place didn't mind the medieval setting yet some of the technical applications were advanced in either a complex arrangement or simple arrangement. It was something amazing since some technologies in their place still had a lot of troubles with handling cables and wires due to some of the people rushing everything in to follow up quantity more than quality but in this place, everything is focused on quality.
"This place… I heard of it before…" Sylvie said as she looked around to see places that she recognised such as the blacksmith stall that they had passed by and a building similar to a police station. "Was it Eternity?" She said while Eunji corrected, "Quite close. Welcome to Ethereal. The kingdom of life."
Eunji said as they entered the middle of the entire place, seeing how packed and lively the area is due to the amount of people flooding around. Some were having fun with their friends, children running around with a big smile while their parents chased after them with a smile, officers patrolling the area and lastly people helping the elderly cross the place that was difficult to roam around.
Rei found himself liking the atmosphere but had to remember that he still had a limited time of himself living due to his status as the vessel of an ancient being. While he could enjoy life like the others, there's a fact that the ancient being or any disastrous things could happen to him and to the people he cares about.
"We're almost there so no need to worry about getting lost." Eunji said as the two only followed her in silence, not wanting to either put the sorceress in a sour mood or just generally still scared of her since they still had high respect and fear from her since the incident with how she performed against the entity all by herself.

The headmaster was having the time of his life with taking off the paperworks on his desk before hearing a knock behind the door. "Come in."
The door opened to reveal Eunji, Rei and a magenta haired girl that he had known from the paperwork that he had from yesterday. "Oh? Young Eunji? I assumed that these are the two recommended applicants?" He asked the strawberry blonde sorceress to nod her head. "Yes, headmaster. I'll take my leave for now and for you to discuss things without our two recommendations applicants." Eunji said before leaving the office to let them discuss their arrangement.
"Rei Nishimura and Sylvie Seraphim. Am I correct?" The headmaster asked while checking the documents on his hands while the two answered yes to him. "Please wait for a bit while I check the documents for the two of you before proceeding to take the examinations." He said which made the duo nod their heads, their body language expressing nervousness since they had no clue what kind of test that they'll receive.
"Alright. Take this pass and ask one of the staff to take you to the examination hall." He handed the two with documents that correspond to their information and important details about them along with the identification that people would know that they're applicants that are taking the examination.
"Good luck with your test, young Rei and young Sylvie." The headmaster said with a warm smile and positive attitude which made the two feel appreciated for the efforts that they're gonna put in the exams.

The two were lost for a while since there were barely any people around the place if it weren't for a white haired female that looked like the school nurse. "Are you two lost?" She asked which Rei admitted for themselves since they were unfamiliar with the academy's layout. "Applicants, I see. Follow me. I'll take y'all to the examination hall. It's quite rare to see recommended applicants this late." the white haired female said before guiding the two around the enormous space and hallways of the academy.
Upon arrival, the two were shocked at how big the space is since they were just walking down the long hallway moments ago. "Holy shxt" Rei thought to himself while Sylvie was admiring the place since it was spacious and practical for both physical and writing examination.
The two were escorted by another staff after the nurse had to go in a different way yet in the same area. "Rei Nishimura. You'll be in room A for the written examination." One of the staff said as Rei waved at Sylvie before heading off to the area.
"Let's ace this!" He thought to himself with a confident look on his face as he entered the room along with the things he needed to use for the exams.
