Upon hearing her problem, Li Jei did not hesitate to offer his help. "Yeah your score sucked from the last exam, sorry I accidentally saw your horrible score". He jokingly said. "Oh shut up". Li Jei was laughing out loud showing his dimples. Zhang Lei find him very cute that she was just mesmerized and kept looking at him with a smile painted on her face at the same time being irritated that she wants to strangle him. They are bickering with each other, Zhang Lei tried to smack his hand but he caught her and he held it. He held her hand and just gaze at her Lu Jei smirked trying to hold his laugh. Zhang Lei was unable to react right away. She was dumbstrucked. She became flushed with annoyance because he was teasing her. At the same time butterflies on her stomach are fluttering because he is holding her hand. "Meet me at the library after school". He winked at her and left.
"What's happening in the library after class Zhang Lei?" Xiu Yeng asked. "I don't know what Li Jei is planning." "Are you going?" asked Xiu Yeng "I might." was Zhang Lei's reply. "I'll come with you, if he is tutoring you math, then I need one too my grades are beyond redemption right now. My dad will kill me!"
"Why would your dad kill you Xiu Yeng?" chided Wung Jen. "Wung Jen mind your own business!" "No I should mind, I don't want the world to lose a beautiful maiden!" Xiu Yeng face palmed and scoffed, " You are impossible Wung Jen, spitting nonsense all the time, leave us alone, We have more important things on our mind like how to pass in math." "That's easy I'll be your tutor." offered Wung Jen. " No it's fine your buddy Li Jei is meeting Zhang Lei at the library after class, I'll just tag along. Wung Jen gave is debonair smile and said, " I'll be there too."
By the end of their afternoon class Zhang Lei and Wung Xiu Yeng head towards the library. "Zhang Lei is Li Jei seeing somebody?" asked Xiu Yeng. "I do not really know anything about his personal life Xiu Yeng."
"I thought you were close. You get along well together and you seem happy all the time when you're talking with each other. I saw him bought that cute stuff toy you were fuzzing me about during our school's festival. I don't think he bought it for himself though..."
Zhang Lei was saddened with what her best friend was telling her. But she pushed it back on her mind since she is more focused on passing her math . And the only solution is Li Jei's help. She admits that she has special feelings for him but that's just that. She does not expect him to like her back. She did not expect that she is her type. However, she's a bit bothered and curious to whom he gave that stuff toy that she was yearning to have.
Meanwhile, Li Jei was eagerly waiting for
Zhang Lei at the library. He arrived ahead of her since he wants to choose the best area that they could be "alone" while they study math.
He saw Zhang Lei from the entrance scanning the room looking for him. He waved at her motioning her to come to where he is sitting. To his dismay, he saw Xiu Yeng and Wung Jun following Zhang Lei. She sat on the chair next to him. "Hello , uhmm what are they doing here too?" he asked. Wung Jun answered right away. " Bro why didn't you tell me you're tutoring this two beauties, you are hiding something like this from me now? I never thought you would betray me, bro. It hurts right here." Wung Jun placed his right hand towards his chest showing how hurt he felt. Li Jei just puffed his mouth, "Don't be such a prick. I offered Zhang Lei my help because I pitied her score. Just her math score!"
Zhang Lei, "___!"
Zhang Lei is preparing to smack him with her math book. "It's that so Li Jei? You jerk, are you just messing with me?" Zhang Lei was mad. "Let's go Xiu Yeng we'll look for another person who is not heartless and would not humiliate us. Perhaps I'll call Dong to ask some of his handsome college friends to teach us. What do you think Xiu Yeng?" she said with strong conviction while staring at Li Jei. "Oh Zhang Lei that would be a brilliant idea, imagine being surrounded by college guys all the time. It would definitely make our grades immediately perfect!" Xiu Yeng was getting excited and shot a sharp look at Wung Jun. While the girls are preparing to leave Li Jei clasp Zhang Lei's wrist. "Wait Zhang Lei I am so sorry, I step on the line. Please don't leave. I swear I won't tease you again. " Please." Li Jei said with pleading eyes. Zhang Lei was staring at him. Pondering on the situation at hand, if he would actually ask Dong's help that would be fine as well but it will take more time since she has to arrange the schedule to have the tutor while here now this cute jerk is willingly offering her his time. She slowly sat back on the chair. "Fine, but no more messing around, let's just begin." They stared at each other and Li Jei smiled and relieved. Zhang Lei again melted looking at his charming dimples. 'Oooh my gosh, help me I'm falling over again!' She can't help herself, she chuckled silently aware that she started to blush. Tried to focus on what Li Jie is telling to her right now. "Zhang Lei show me which part of our lesson you have the most problem with?"
While this is happening, Xiu Yeng and Wung Jun were observing them from the other side of the table. "Hmmm are seeing what I'm seeing Wung Jun?" Xiu Yeng whispered to him. "What is it? I don't see anything." he whispered back. "For a playboy like you, I am surprised. Look at them!" pointing her mouth towards Li Jei and Zhang Lei. " You are slow!"
"Wait, what? I'm a playboy? I'm slow? What's that suppose to mean! Let me show you who is slow here!" "Shush, Wang Jun! Keep your big mouth shut and help me with my math instead!" Xiu Yeng was turning her head from side to side. 'This guy is really slow. But I know he is smart and cute as well.'
Both pairs are now engrossed with their studies. They guys are really good at math so they tried their best to teach the girls. Not to mention they are also trying to impress them with their skills.
It's time to go home. They gathered their things and left the library. "Li Jie thank you." Zhang Lei smiled at him. "No problem. Anyway it's just the first part. How about we do this everyday after class until midterms?" Zhang Lein was touched and she agreed right away. " Hey, don't leave us too. We want to join you guys. What do you say Wung Jun? Are you in?" Xiu Yeng asked. "I will have a hard time teaching you and that slow brain of yours but definitely, I am in!" Xiu Yeng "___" Hey, are you saying that I'm slow? Well aren't you slow too?" They continued bickering while the other pair were just laughing at them.
