Chapter 33
The rain finally held off for a few days, allowing the orcs to finish the perimeter traps after nearly a week of labor. With the work done, Euphoria happily returned to her quiet life as a homebody.
Finding herself with a stretch of free time, she turned her attention to Luce. The weather was glorious—bright sun and a gentle breeze—the kind of day that begged for an adventure. She coaxed Luce into taking her beyond the tribe's borders to explore and forage.
Luce agreed without hesitation. Euphoria perched comfortably on his thick, white tail as he glided through the forest at a leisurely pace. They spent the morning wandering through the lush greenery; she gathered fresh wild vegetables while Luce expertly snatched two plump birds from the brush for their dinner.
