I woke up slowly, stretching across the small bed, and realized the other side was empty. Rhys was already gone. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. The clock said almost nine-thirty.
Shit.
I pulled on a robe and padded to the kitchen. A note sat on the counter in what I could only presume as Rhys's handwriting. I picked it up and read it.

Best damn morning I've had in weeks. Waking up in your couch and then touching you, hearing those little sounds you make, you make me stupid happy today. Gonna be counting the hours until I get you back where you belong. You're mine and I'm yours. Don't forget it.
