Day 1
Ayanokouji POV
We are currently trekking through the forest on the island. We already planned out where we are claiming our spots. We already took both the hut and the tower. Both which are near Class A's spot and furthest is Class D since I asked Karma and Tatsuya to do some recon and they returned with the said information. We already set up the tents and all the other necessary things. We claimed most of the spots easily since Kei and the rest are already ahead of me of the plan. Also, I told Kei that I would be the leader since none of the four other classes would expect me to be the leader. Now what is this all about you ask? Well according to the manual, we must choose a leader to hold to a card which allows us to claim spots around the island and by claiming spots, we gain bonus points. Also, the wristwatches have a built-in GPS and also hidden sensors. Kirigaya wanted to rig the watches to see if there is anything hidden but I told him it wouldn't be a good idea since it could also be a potential penalty. We plan on using up our 300 points since it wouldn't affect our situation since our goal is to simply take spots and guessing the leaders of each class. Speaking of leaders, there is a second option in order to gain bonus points which is guessing the leaders of each class. By guessing the leaders correctly, we would be added points but guess wrong our points get deducted. Which is why it's a good idea for us to let me be the leader since it would be nearly impossible for the other classes to know who our leader is. But the question is of course, finding out who the leaders are in each class.
Another thing to note from Karma and Tatsuya's reconnaissance mission of the other classes. Class A is currently occupying a cave just nearby while Class D is pretty much saving their points and fighting over toilets?? No seriously that's what Karma told me. I guess the situation is of course probably related to the girls for obvious reasons. Kei also asked the others for some recon on Class C and Class B. Lelouch and Kururugi volunteered to check Class C while Kaguya and Shirogane volunteered to check Class B since those two are good friends with Ichinose while the rest of us continue to fix things up on our camping spot.
Shirogane POV
I'm currently walking with Kaguya with the mission of checking out Class B. To be honest never have I imagined myself to be walking in the forest of an island in the middle of nowhere with Kaguya. Even though it would seem romantic to be just the two of us in an island paradise, if it weren't the fact that staying on an island is part of an exam. In my opinion, this school is quite extreme, but it does help improve our survival skills, learning how to be independent, and other skills that will help you live on the real world. I've never been to the wilderness before but as long as Kaguya is with me. I think I'm good.
"Hey presi-I mean Miyuki-kun" she said while her face is slightly red
"Did you forget? I'm not the president anymore at least I'm not in this school, but I do want to be a part of the Student Council at some point here as well." I spoke
"Really?" she said while looking at me
"Yes, even though it's a new school I wanted to help students just like what I did back in Shuchiin Academy"
"Wait how come you never told me this until now?" she asked
"Well, I was a bit nervous since I don't know if I could pull it off again. I worked hard to be Student Council president back at Shuchiin, but here I feel like a small fish in a gigantic ocean" I said. Kaguya looked at me with a hint of sadness. I guess she thought that I wouldn't be able to do such a feat again given that I was never that talented and smart at anything to begin with.
"I understand Miyuki-kun" she said as I looked at her.
"I get it, you want to achieve what you had back then, but things aren't always going to be easy when transferring to another school. We have to adapt to the situation we are in. I know that for me, it wouldn't be a problem since I would do whatever it takes to succeed in a school like this but for you. I'm guessing it must be tough since seeing all of your hard work just suddenly disappears" To be honest. She was right, I was a loser back then until I worked my ass off to finally be a top student at my previous school and became student council president until the day where I was offered to transfer into one of the most if not the most prestigious schools in all of Japan. It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up but at the same time if I accepted the offer, then I would relinquish my place as student council president, but I don't want dwell upon it any further.
"Yeah, I know but can I really start over again?" I asked, I felt a slight sorrow in asking this question.
"It's alright to start over again. I know it's hard for you to adapt to a school like this especially with a reputation where the school judges the student's merit, but I know you can do it"
"You really think I can?" I asked
"You've been through tough times before, whether it's trying to be part of the student council or confessing to me. It doesn't matter. As long as you can prove your worth and believe in yourself." she said as she held my hand and continued speaking.
"You can achieve anything" she's right, why am I worrying about this. I've survived in this school so far and I managed to pass through the first midterms of this school.
"You're right Kaguya, I guess I've been worrying about things for no reason" I said as I hear her giggle
"Ohh don't worry about it, Miyuki-kun. Just relax and do your best okay?" she said with a smile, the smile that I've seen countless times. It really puts me at ease.
"Alright" I said
After our little moment, we manage to find where Class B is. We both saw Ichinose talking to one of her classmates. We approached her and said our hellos.
"Hi"
"Ohh Shirogane-kun and Kaguya-san" she said while we are observing Class B.
"Looks like everyone seems to be doing well" Kaguya said
"Of course, after all we have plenty of fruit and catch fish near the ocean. Plus, a waterfall for our water supply" Ichinose said
"Class B is by far quite disciplined, impressive Ichinose" I said
"Ohh it's nothing, we're just doing our best" she said
"Sorry to interrupt.." someone joined in
"What is it?"
"I was wondering if there is anything I can help with" the boy with a pair of glasses said....wait isn't he from a different class. I looked at Kaguya and it seems that she might have the same idea.
"Well Chihiro-chan needs help over there. Would it be alright?"
"No problem" he said as he walked off to one of the other students.
"Wait isn't he from a different class?" Kaguya finally asked
"His name is Kaneda from Class C, apparently he had a quarrel with them and got kicked from camp" He got kicked? that must be tough. I wonder what's going on.
"Ohh anyways I should be going back to work now, nice talking to you two" she said before going somewhere else.
"Guess we better go back and report to Ayanokouji" I said
"Then let's go ahead Miyuki-kun" with that we were on our way back to our camp.
After walking for a few minutes, I suddenly have a strange feeling that someone must be following us.
"Kaguya, don't you think this is strange?" I asked.
"Don't worry you're not the only one with this strange feeling" she said before turning her back and called someone out.
"I know someone is following us, so show yourself!" she shouted
"Alright, no need to shout this loud" suddenly a boy walked out from behind a tree.
"Wait I've seen you before." she said
"I could say the same to you" he said
"Who are you?" I asked
"You're Hikigaya Hachiman aren't you" she said, so that boy we saw back in Class B's room was Hikigaya.
"Nice of you to know my name, did Ayanokouji tell you that?" wait Ayanokouji? did he actually encounter him? I only know him from Kei-san's tablet.
"What do you want and why are you following us?" I asked
"You two are from Class S as well am I wrong?"
"Yes, we are from Class S" Kaguya answered
"If you're here to look for the leader then you're wasting your time" he said
"Listen, we're not here for trouble" I said
"I know but I'm just here to warn you"
"Warn us about what?"
"That guy named Kaneda; I don't think you should trust him"
"Huh what do you mean?" This is getting confusing
"Listen I'm telling you once and once only, there is a possibility that one of the classes will have a mole in them soon"
"A mole? what are you saying?" Kaguya asked
"Don't you think it's suspicious?" Hikigaya said, now both of us are puzzled
"There's no way that a person would just randomly join us just because of some quarrel"
"Besides you should watch out for others"
"Others?" I asked
"I've heard that Class C's leader would be willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants given that he is quite the arrogant asshole" what does he mean by that and by arrogant I'm guessing he's talking about Ryuen.
"The guy is quite crafty. Who knows what he'll try to do." he said
"Wait a second how do you know all this Hikigaya-kun?" Kaguya asked
"I was curious and just followed him, and it looked like he was making some shady deals with one of the Class A students" Shady? what deals? why would Ryuen make deals with a Class A student?
"I'm warning you, tell that leader of yours whoever that is to hide that card and don't trust anyone from Class C that comes towards your camp" he said with those cold dead-fish eyes as he walks back to his camp.
"Wait!" I shouted as Hikigaya stopped in his tracks.
"Why are you even telling us all this?" I questioned. Hikigaya was silent for a few seconds before answering.
"You guys are from Class S, right? I wouldn't want my chance of happiness getting ruined by some random guy trying to disrupt the other classes."
"Wait what do you mean by that?" I'm getting confused at this point
"I'm saying is that you better not lose early to Ryuen" he said before finally walking off.
Kaguya and I looked at each other probably thinking the same thing. I have a lot of questions running in my mind right now.
"We should tell everyone" Kaguya said
"Alright let's get back to camp fast" We both nodded and ran back to the camp.
