Chapter 37 - When Knowing Becomes Burden

Scene 1: The Noise Outside

The company was no longer calm.

Even inside the office, people were talking.

The writing piece had spread again.

But this time, the question was different:

"Why is the author still hidden?"

"Who is being protected?"

Mahi sat at her desk.

Typing.

Focused.

But aware.

She didn't look around much.

But she could feel it.

People were talking about her work.

Not knowing she was right there.

Anaya passed her once.

Just a short glance.

Scene 2: Ishaan's Control

Ishaan called a meeting.

Calm as always.

"The attention is increasing again," one member said.

Ishaan replied:

"That was expected."

Another asked:

"Should we stop releasing her work?"

Ishaan:

"No."

Pause.

"We continue. But we adjust visibility."

No panic.

Only structure.

Scene 3: Ayaan Already Knows Everything

Ayaan sat in his office.

Report in hand.

Anaya standing beside him.

"This is spreading again," she said.

Ayaan didn't react strongly.

He already knew why.

Anaya continued:

"People are trying to identify the writer."

Ayaan:

"They won't find her."

Anaya looked at him briefly.

"…You're sure?"

Ayaan:

"Yes."

Silence.

Scene 4: A Different Kind of Pressure

Anaya placed another file on the table.

"Public curiosity is shifting," she said.

Ayaan:

"How."

Anaya:

"Now they believe the writer is being protected by someone inside the system."

Ayaan didn't answer immediately.

Then calmly:

"Let them believe what they want."

Anaya:

"That increases risk."

Ayaan:

"I will handle it."

Scene 5: Mahi Notices Change

At her desk—

Mahi noticed something different.

Not loud chaos.

But controlled silence around her.

Like people were watching without staring.

Kriti messaged her suddenly:

"You're trending again."

Mahi looked at the screen.

Then locked it.

No reaction.

But her hand paused on the keyboard slightly longer than usual.

Scene 6: Kriti's Chaos

At home—

Kriti was pacing again.

"This is insane," she said.

Mahi:

"What now."

Kriti:

"People are literally debating your writing like it's a national mystery."

Mahi:

"It's just work."

Kriti:

"No, it's NOT just work. It's like… detective level obsession now."

Mahi didn't respond.

Kriti leaned closer:

"Are you okay with this?"

Mahi finally said:

"I don't have a choice."

Scene 7: Ayaan's Quiet Decision

At night—

Ayaan stood near the window.

City lights below.

Anaya spoke:

"Do we tighten control publicly?"

Ayaan:

"No public reaction."

Anaya:

"Then how do we manage exposure?"

Ayaan:

"Internally."

Pause.

Anaya:

"That means protecting her directly."

Ayaan:

"She is already protected."

Silence.

Scene 8: Ishaan vs Stability

Ishaan reviewed the latest engagement numbers.

Then looked at Mahi's file.

Assistant:

"Do we inform her about rising attention?"

Ishaan:

"No."

Assistant:

"Why?"

Ishaan:

"Because awareness creates pressure."

He closed the file.

"And she does not need pressure yet."

Final Scene: Three Silent Controls

Ishaan controls publication flow

Ayaan controls external exposure quietly

Anaya manages internal system pressure

Kriti unknowingly spreads emotional chaos

Mahi continues writing, aware but steady

And the truth remains:

Everyone is reacting around her—

while she remains the center they are trying not to disturb.
