Chapter 39 - The Silence He Announced

Scene 1: The World Waiting

The news cycle was restless.

Every platform wanted one answer.

"Who is the writer?"

Speculation was rising again.

Posts. Articles. Debates.

The system was becoming unstable.

Inside the company, Ishaan stood in silence.

He already knew what was coming.

"This cannot continue uncontrolled," he said calmly.

No one argued.

Even the air felt ready for change.

Scene 2: Ayaan's Decision

Ayaan sat in the meeting room.

Anaya beside him.

Aditya reviewing reports quietly.

Anaya spoke first:

"If we stay silent, speculation will increase."

Aditya added:

"And it will eventually breach internal boundaries."

Ayaan didn't respond immediately.

He looked at the reports again.

Then closed them.

"I will handle it," he said.

Anaya:

"How?"

Ayaan stood.

"Publicly."

A pause.

Even Aditya looked up slightly.

Scene 3: The Announcement

A press statement was prepared.

Simple.

Direct.

Controlled.

Ayaan appeared in front of media channels.

No hesitation.

No emotion.

Just authority.

He spoke:

"The writer behind the recent work has chosen to remain anonymous."

Flash cameras.

Silence in audience.

Ayaan continued:

"Her identity will not be disclosed under any circumstance."

A pause.

"We request the public to respect her privacy."

Then, final line:

"She will continue publishing through official channels."

No unnecessary detail.

No emotional explanation.

Just control.

Scene 4: Public Reaction

The internet exploded—but differently this time.

Not confusion.

Respect.

"Finally someone protecting the writer."

"She deserves privacy."

"This company is professional."

The pressure did not disappear.

But it changed shape.

Scene 5: Home – Kriti Reacts

Kriti was watching the news on her phone.

Eyes wide.

"Mahi…"

Mahi looked up.

"What."

Kriti pointed at screen.

"He literally protected you in front of everyone."

Mahi stayed silent.

Kriti continued loudly:

"This is HUGE. People are going crazy."

Mahi calmly said:

"I know."

Kriti leaned back.

"…You are so calm. It's suspicious."

Mahi:

"It's necessary."

Scene 6: Aditya vs Kriti (Funny Training Moment)

At office next day.

Kriti was struggling with a report.

Aditya stood beside her.

"This is wrong again," he said.

Kriti:

"No it's not."

Aditya turned the screen.

"It is."

Kriti crossed her arms.

"Maybe your system is wrong."

Aditya:

"My system is fine. You are not following it."

Kriti:

"I followed it emotionally."

Aditya looked at her.

"…That's not a method."

Kriti:

"It is in my world."

Aditya slightly sighed.

"You are improving… slowly."

Kriti smiled proudly.

"That sounded like a compliment."

Aditya:

"It was a warning."

Scene 7: Teasing Continues

Later—

Kriti intentionally did something correct.

She looked at Aditya.

"I did it right."

Aditya:

"For once."

Kriti:

"You should appreciate me."

Aditya:

"I did. Internally."

Kriti:

"That doesn't count."

Aditya (slightly teasing):

"You want a medal too?"

Kriti:

"Yes."

Aditya:

"I'll design one called 'Barely Functional but Improving.'"

Kriti gasped.

"That's bullying."

Aditya:

"It's feedback."

Scene 8: Ishaan Observes Shift

At writing division—

Ishaan reviewed engagement after announcement.

Assistant:

"Public pressure has reduced slightly."

Ishaan nodded.

"But curiosity remains," he said.

Assistant:

"Will it grow again?"

Ishaan:

"Yes."

A pause.

"But slower now."

Scene 9: Anaya & Ayaan Quiet Moment

Office later.

Anaya stood beside Ayaan.

"You handled it well," she said.

Ayaan:

"It was necessary."

Anaya:

"You protected her."

Ayaan:

"I protected stability."

Anaya looked at him briefly.

"…Both can be true."

Silence.

Final Scene: Controlled Calm

Mahi continues writing quietly

Kriti continues improving loudly.

Aditya continues strict-teasing training.

Ishaan stabilizes writing system.

Anaya manages emotional + professional balance

Ayaan holds public narrative under control

And for the first time in a long time—

the storm did not grow.

It paused.

Not ended.

Just controlled.
