Y/n and Namjoon were on the swings, munching the snacks and sipping drinks they purchased from the convenience store. Namjoon took the lead and started the conversation.
"So what do you want to talk about?" asked Namjoon. "About what I did to you in the past? Is that the reason why you hated me, because I broke your heart?" asked y/n, staring into Namjoon's eyes. "I wish I could say it was a lie, but here, sitting at the swings, it feels like it's time to confess everything. I just couldn't bring myself to ask you why you did that. With the heartbreak you left me, it turned into hatred. You know you were always safe when you were in my arms." "I know I was always safe in your arms, but you knew there were going to be consequences involved, yet you didn't listen." "So? I risked everything to be with you; do you think you can give me another chance?" "Namjoon, you are aware that I'm in a relationship with Suga, and Jin actually admitted his feelings for me during the library power outage that day, and you know that I—"I understand you have feelings for Jin; I am aware of that." Listen, I really don't want to hurt Suga right now. He has been incredibly understanding and caring towards me. I don't want him to experience the same heartache that I caused you."
Y/n gets up from the swings, discards the trash, and takes a seat at the end of the slide. Namjoon does the same, sitting on the other side of the slide, staring into Y/n's eyes and holding her right hand.
Y/n realizes that Namjoon is holding her right hand, yet she doesn't pull away.
"Why doesn't she hold back? I know she spotted me holding her right hand, but she seems different today. I don't want to spoil the atmosphere because I have something to tell her. Would she be upset if I mention that Suga's ex is in town? Maybe I should," Namjoon pondered, staring at the ground.
"Y/n, you seemed really off today. Is something bothering you?" "I've just been feeling low lately. Joining a dance team was the best choice I ever made, but everyone there is pushing me too hard because of my connections with you all. They kept pressuring me to set up a meeting, but that would disrupt your personal lives. I've told them 'no' multiple times, yet they insisted on either kicking me off the dance team or arranging a meeting. I chose to do what was best: I left the dance team. I thought I made a good choice by leaving that toxic environment, but part of me worried I wouldn't find another team. Fortunately, my prayers were answered when another dance team invited me to join, so I did. They informed me that they felt horrible for me since I was on the worst dance team, and they're commonly known to kick out people if they don't get what they want. However, I have been enjoying my happiest moments with this new dance team, as they always look out for one another and respect my boundaries. Additionally, we have a 'K-pop random dance' competition scheduled with the toxic dance team tomorrow afternoon. If you don't have anything planned, you're free to come," stated y/n, letting it all out.
Namjoon rises, reassures y/n, and returns to his previous seat.
"There's something important I need to tell you before I take you home." "What is it?" "Do you recall Suga's ex from the States?" "Yeah, kind of." "Well, it appears she's back in town. This is a heads-up for you to be cautious because she's ready to win Suga back from you." "Oh no, she's really going to try to take Suga from me. I appreciate the heads-up, Namjoon." "Anytime."
Y/n and Namjoon get up and leave the playground as it is getting late.
Namjoon drops y/n at her apartment and waves goodbye to her.
As Namjoon walks back to his place, he can't believe that tomorrow is the day everything will be settled.
"I have Suga's ex's number, so I will text her the details about Suga's whereabouts. In that case, perhaps I should invite the boys for tomorrow's y/n's special day, as well as the ex. I know Suga won't be thrilled to see his crazy ex, but I need Suga and y/n to break up so I can step in as her 'fake boyfriend' and control her life the way I want, just like I did when we first dated."
Today was y/n's big day. She had to go in early for work because she convinced her manager to let her have the afternoon off.
When y/n arrives at her job, she is surprised to see Suga there. Suga spots y/n and approaches her, giving her a kiss. Blushing, y/n invites Suga to her special event later in the afternoon at Seoul Plaza.
Suga nods that he will be cheering for her, approaches y/n once more, whispers something in her ear, and exits the 7-Eleven.
Y/n begins her shift, working for nearly 5 hours, and clocks out 2 hours before the event starts. With her new phone that she got a few days ago, she calls Jimin to pick her up. Jimin arrives at the 7-Eleven and drives y/n to Seoul Plaza.
"Are you feeling anxious about today?" Jimin asked. "A bit, but I've got this. I will do great today and outshine that toxic dance team," y/n replied with a bright smile. "That's the attitude! Also, just so you know, Jungkook, J-Hope, and Jin will be joining us later because I need to pick them up." "I hope J-Hope doesn't start judging me if I slip up. I'm still a bit afraid of him. I can still hear his voice every night." "Don't worry; I'll make sure J-Hope doesn't judge you."
Y/n winked and expressed her gratitude to Jimin for the ride, then Jimin drove off.
"I can't wait to see my girl dance today! I'm so excited! Should I bring something, maybe a small bouquet of flowers? You know what, I should go buy some for her," Suga said. He walked into the flower shop and saw Taehyung. "Tae, what are you doing here?" "Suga, I'm here to film a scene. You just interrupted the perfect spot," Taehyung replied. "Okay, I'm just getting a mini bouquet for y/n and I'll be quick," Suga assured him. "A mini bouquet? Oh, I forgot y/n has that dance competition at Seoul Plaza. I hope I can make it. But Namjoon came in earlier and also got a mini bouquet."
After hearing this, Suga dismissed it, grabbed the small bouquet of flowers, paid, and walked out. While he was on his way, he accidentally ran into someone he wished to avoid.
"Oh no, is you?" Suga exclaimed, feeling disgusted. "That's not a nice thing to say to an ex," replied Ha-Kyung. "Han-Kyung, what are you doing here? Aren't you meant to be in the States with your classy boyfriend?" "Excuse me? Classy boyfriend? I don't have a classy boyfriend. Where did you get that from?" "There's something called the news. Have you forgotten that you're more famous than I am, aside from being my crazy ex from the past? Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get to my girlfriend's special event in 30 minutes."
Suga moves aside and starts to walk until Ha-Kyung stops him.
"Your girlfriend? You mean y/n?" "Yes, y/n. Do you have an issue with that?" "I definitely have an issue with that. Why are you with Namjoon's ex?" Suga turns back, looking confused, and says, "Namjoon's ex?"
"Don't tell me you were unaware they dated before?" "No, I had no idea they were together." "They were in a secret relationship to keep it private. The only ones who knew were Jungkook and the person she made a promise to in high school, whose name I won't disclose because it's confidential. I'm sure you'll find out eventually after all these years. Haven't you noticed anything odd about Namjoon recently?"
"Namjoon? Mmm, I've noticed that after Lotte World, he went from being a hated person to a friendly guy, and he has spent more time with y/n than I ever did." "Alright, you're on the right track. He's doing all this to get closer to y/n and to date her again. After y/n broke his heart in the first year of high school, he just wanted y/n all to himself."
"Why are you sharing this with me, Ha-Kyung?" "Because I care about you. You're not the only one who still has feelings for you. Sure, I might be the crazy ex, as you called me, but I've changed. By the way, can I join you wherever you going right now? I just want to say 'hi' to her." "Uh, okay, but don't get too close to me."
Suga and Ha-Kyung move away from each other toward Seoul Plaza. Suga struggles to focus on what his ex just said. He tried to shake it off, but it was no use this time.
Suga would need to talk to y/n at the end of the event to find out if Ha-Kyung's words were true.
While Ha-Kyung noticed Suga's body language, Ha-Kyung texted Namjoon to let him know she's with Suga and they will arrive together to set the plan in motion.
They both reached Seoul Plaza, which was extremely crowded, but fortunately, they spotted the BTS members saving a place.
"Ha-Kyung?" all the BTS members said, except for Suga. "Yes, that's me. Did you boys miss me?" Ha-Kyung asked, playfully twirling her hair. "Nah, not really," Jin joked. "Jin, I thought you'd be happy to see me." "Not really; I actually forgot you were even around," Jin replied.
"Ha-Kyung? What brings you to South Korea? Aren't you meant to be in the States?" Jungkook inquired. "Well, I had to make a quick stop here. Plus, I'm not going back to the States; my work there is finished," Ha-Kyung explained to Jungkook. "Enough chit-chat; we all came here to watch y/n compete and crush this competition," Jimin and J-Hope said, quieting everyone.
Organizer announcer: The 'K-pop random dance' has officially begun. Both teams will alternate in competing against one another. During the special round, we will merge both teams, and the last person remaining will be named the winner for their team. To clarify, if you push someone, trip them, or break any rules, you will be disqualified immediately, must leave the line, and will not be allowed to participate in the final special round. The audience will watch while I, the organizer announcer, will also be observing.
Y/n watched her former toxic dance team from a distance, pondering that they might have won if they had caused them to trip. However, it appears they won't take that risk, as they want to avoid disqualification and protect their reputation.
