Jin is at the music studio when Namjoon sends him a message.
[Jin & Namjoon]
Namjoon: Hey Jin, where were you during lunch period?
Jin: I apologize for the abrupt departure; I needed to head to the music studio to continue working on the song I intend to release for my forthcoming solo album.
Namjoon: Y/n wanted to sit with us at our table for lunch, but she ended up eating outside, and Suga followed y/n, can you believe that?
Jin: Don't tell me you said something negative towards y/n?
Namjoon: What if I expressed a negative opinion about y/n? She had it coming, so she should understand it's a sign to stay away from us. From us?
Jin: As a matter of fact, y/n is not a bad person. If it weren't for that accident, I wouldn't be singing now.
Namjoon: That accident nearly killed you; y/n should have been the one who died. Y/n is the one who is not allowed to exist in this planet.
Jin: Namjoon, it's time to stop making those comments. Jimin is correct about you; your attitude toward leadership is inappropriate. You are the one who is slowly breaking the group apart due to your hatred for y/n.
Namjoon: Well, I'm in charge, so I can make my own decisions. I could even make you stop spending time with y/n and concentrate on your album.
Jin: You don't get it, Namjoon; the song is about y/n.
Namjoon: What? The track you intend to drop is about y/n? How is that even possible? Please don't say you have feelings for her?
Jin: We've been best friends for such a long time that I didn't notice my true feelings for y/n until now, but I never found the opportunity to express them. I'm just afraid of ruining this friendship, so I had to express my feelings to y/n before is too late.
Namjoon: I hate to burst your bubble, but I heard Suga confess his feelings to y/n and it looks like he's intending to ask y/n out when they meet at the front gate.
Jin: When did Suga start liking y/n?
Namjoon: From what I overheard, it started six years ago after the accident.
Jin: Six years is a long time. Well, if y/n accepts Suga's proposal, I'll be there to support y/n from a distance, but I won't hesitate to step in if anything goes wrong.
Namjoon: Alright, I need to leave now, see you at the studio with everyone else.
Once Jin and Namjoon finished their messaging conversation, Jin went back to composing the final verse of his song. However, his mind is swirling with numerous thoughts.
"Suga and y/n as a couple? Is that really a possibility? If Suga is interested in dating y/n, he has the freedom to do so, but would that upset me? I don't believe so. Well, maybe just a little. I just wish that if that incident from six years ago hadn't occurred, y/n and I would be together by now. Why did that accident take place, and what really happened?" Jin thought to himself.
"Okay, let's think about something positive. This song needs to be flawless and enchanting. I want it to put an end to the negativity that y/n has faced from my fans for the past six years. If I finalize this last verse, will it create an emotional impact?" Jin spoke while reworking the entire song.
After numerous revisions to the draft lyrics, Jin made his way to the recording studio and hit the record button. With the combination of the instrumental, melody, and his voice, everything flowed beautifully and effortlessly.
"Hey Jin, that was so lovely. Are you planning to dedicate this song to someone significant?" the producer asked. "Well, that person means a lot to me, but I'm concerned about their reaction when they hear the song live," Jin responded. "I'm certain your special person will view this song as a soothing melody that touches their heart," the producer encouraged.
Jin's producer considered sending him back to school to catch up with the rest of the other members before it became too late.
Jin sprinted as quickly as possible to reach y/n and discuss his new song. However, when he arrived at the front gate, he found it was too late. He noticed Suga holding y/n's hand.
A strange feeling began to settle in his heart; was it jealousy or sadness?
"I should feel happy for them, shouldn't I? But why am I feeling this way?" Jin pondered. "Hey Jin, I'm really sorry you had to witness that," Taehyung remarked. I understand, but if that's what she wants, I'll accept it," Jin replied. "Are you really alright, Jin? I can see tears streaming down your face," Taehyung observed. "I'm okay; let's just look for the others," Jin said hesitantly.
Jin and Taehyung head in the opposite direction to locate the other members, while y/n notices this and urges Suga to join his bandmates and 'inform Jin that today's meeting has been cancelled due to an exam I'm taking.'
Suga promised y/n that he would relay the message to Jin; before leaving, Suga kissed y/n on the cheek, marking the start of their relationship. Caught off guard by the kiss, y/n reddened slightly before leaving.
As y/n walked away, a smile couldn't help but appear on her face.
"Wow, I can't believe I'm in a relationship with Suga, but deep down, I feel he might not be the right fit for me. Is it really a bad idea to give him a shot? Yet, witnessing Jin like that makes me think differently. Alright, I need to shake off these negative thoughts; I have an exam coming up in a couple of hours," y/n reflected while walking.
Y/n arrived at the exam room two hours early and began studying.
This exam is extremely significant to y/n because it highlights two significant aspects of y/n's life: gaining admission to the university of her dreams and proving to her parents that they have successfully navigated all of life's challenges.
