Lukas and Sarah are back at it. It's been two weeks since they got here, and she's teaching him a few new things today, and he's learning quickly. Ethan was just sitting on the floor, drinking some leftover soda from when they got fast food. Drew was nowhere to be seen at the moment.
"That's it! You just gotta keep your arms straight, and move your elbows like this!" She corrects where Lukas' joints should be.
"How long is this gonna take again?" Ethan shouts; and then takes another sip. Sarah looks over, and puts up all ten of her fingers. Ten more minutes?!! Lukas thought while staring at her with daggers for eyes. Sarah notices and puts down five of her fingers. Much better.. Lukas was pleased.
"Hey! Everyone!" They all see Drew, looking frantic. "Come to the living room, now!" They all listen to his orders, and follow him back.
Once they all make it to the living room, we see Hannah and Mark, both looking worried for some reason. Drew motion for the three of them to take a seat somewhere, and they comply. When they all sat themselves down, Drew stands in the middle of the room like it's some sort of college lecture. "I have something VERY important to discuss with you guys, especially with you too!" Drew points to Lukas and Ethan. "If you could give me your full attention right now, that would be great!"
"Ok then? Spit it out already—" Sarah slaps her arm, making her shut up.
"I just got word that a couple of kids were asking about someone who looks a lot like you, Lukas!" Drew looks directly at him, making Lukas a little embarrassed. He looks at the wall, but can still feel their eyes on his neck.
Ethan raises his hand for no reason, and Drew calls upon him. "Do they know who the kids look like?" He asks.
"No clue, it was an anonymous tip from some weirdo, all he said was that they looked edgy and to stay where we are. For all I know, he could've just been schizophrenic" Drew explained while sweating. Hannah looked really pissed after she heard that. "So… you're telling me… you just wasted my GODDAMN TIME!!" She gets up; and looms over Drew. Lukas could tell that he was sweating buckets.
"E-even so…" Drew was stuttering. "I'd like to stay here for a bit anyway. Plus, I've notified Melissa about what's going on, so they won't be worried"
"For how long though?" Sarah asked.
"Maybe… A couple of weeks? Long enough for them to either go away, or for us to figure out the best way possible to fight them!" Drew says.
"Hey.. Can I say something?" Ethan calls for their attention. "Why are we fusing over some band of kids that we don't know? Seems kind stupid from my point of view, don't 'cha think?"
"Remember when Lukas was fighting that psycho in that store we went to?" Drew recalled.
"Yeah, why?"
"Because he was also seen with them!"
Everyone was shocked to hear that, especially Lukas. His eyes start to bug out as his heart rate spikes to an all time high. He looks at his sweaty hands and clutches his chest with them. He was trying his best to calm himself down, and not look like a maniac in front of all of them. But his attempts were futile. Ethan puts his hand on Lukas' shoulder, but Lukas just swats it off with some force. "I-I'm fine… swear!" Lukas whispers to Ethan, with him not believing Lukas in the slightest.
"So that old guy's back? It took him not that long to recover!" Ethan said.
They all look really uncomfortable at that moment, now realising that they left a bunch of kids and a mom in the care of Melissa. They all hoped that she could actually pull through this time.
"Well, shit. What the hell do we do now?!" Hannah was still really close to Drew at that time. Making him shake in his metaphorical boots. "We can't just stay here and let them have their fun!"
Drew nods his head. "I know that; but we can't really do anything about them right now anyway! If we go back we're surely gonna get killed out there!"
"Yeah we might have to wait it out until better circumstances arrive…" Ethan said.
Lukas then, all of a sudden, gets up and walks outta the room. Drew tries to tell him to come back; but Ethan cuts him off and tells him to let Lukas be. He went on a little walk throughout the place. He kept walking until he made it back to his borrowed room. He opens the door and closes it behind him. Now that he was all alone, he puts his back to the door, and slides down it. Ending up in a sitting position.
While he did that, his body kept on shaking and shaking, he didn't really know what was going on, but he thought to just let it do its thing. But of course, the feeling would just not go away. He put his hands over his head, and curled up in a fetal position; laying on his side. He gritted his teeth, and forcibly shut his eyes. The whole experience reminded him of the thing to a tee.
He managed to crawl over to his bed, and tried his hardest to pull himself up onto it. He was successful in doing that; and now that he was on the bed, he put a pillow over his head to try and do something that would be helpful at the moment.
His mind was starting to cloud itself in a desperate attempt to numb the pain and anxiety; but it didn't work one bit. The agony for Lukas just kept coming; to the point of almost wanting to just end it all and forget about everything. At least in the afterlife, it wouldn't hurt as much as it did in his room.
Then, out of nowhere, everything just poofed. He was all fine now, with no trace of anything left. Lukas had no idea what the fuck just happened, but he just assumed it had something to do about that old man.
I should probably go to bed right now. Even though it's noon, I'm so tired… Lukas was starting to get more and more sleepy as the seconds passed. A part of him didn't want to sleep, from the fear of seeing that weird abomination again. That part of his brain was that resilient thought, so it lost that battle.
Hopefully his dreams have nothing to do with anything about what just happened. Hopefully….
