Author's pov:
The sound echoed.
Percy stepped forward. Behind him Jare and Mia....
Jare's pov:
I wanted it to be perfect me and Mia were sitting on a bench at the beach.
"The beach it's beautiful Jare...the sound of the waves, the cool air...it feels good. Nature is truly beautiful." She said looking at me.
But my eyes weren't looking at her. They were looking at the waves. I gathered my courage and replied.
"Yes Mia....they are beautiful just like you." I finally looked at her widened eyes.
"Mia...I don't want to be your friend....I want to be your boyfriend. I want you to be my girlfriend."
A pause. Her breath hitched.
I noticed.
"My question is will you be my girlfriend?"
The question was simple.....Too blunt. I did not prepare anything. It was just us on that evening beach.
"My sister she likes...you. A lot. so do I."
She looked away.....I thought maybe I was rushing. I thought she didn't feel the same. After all It's only been few months since I have known her....
"It's...ok if you don't."
I got up. Not to walk away. But I was puled back.
KISSED ME!
my eyes widened shocked. The kiss lingered. I kissed back.
We parted breathless.
"I love you...actually from the very moment I saw you....I love you Jare. And yes I want to be your girlfriend."
She chuckled.
We were about to kiss when my phone rang again.
CALLER ID: ELIOT
I put it on speaker.
"Eliot is something wrong?"
"Everything is wrong Jare. Percy has landed here. Fernandez is in the verge of bankruptcy. The are using Jay and got her engaged to the Yuri....That red head. The one percy calls rooster."
my blood ran cold.
"What did you just say?" I asked in a low voice.
No reply.
"Send me the location. I need it in 2mins."
I hung up. Didn't wait for his reply.
I didn't know what to tell mia.
"Jare...I want to come with you"
"But Mia-
"Jare I'm your girlfriend now."
I didn't see a reason to deny her there.
I nodded.
We reached my car.

He came out percy.
He saw me.
"Jare missed my handsome face."
I rolled my eyes.
"Kuya how did you know?"
"Jason" he replied. The answer short. clear. crisp
I nodded.
We entered the floor.
Percy went first. Behind him me and Mia.
"THIS ENGAGEMENT WILL NOT HAPPEN! SHE WILL NOT MARRY A ROOSTER!" he yelled.
"THIS WON'T HAPPEN WITHOUT HER PERMISSION!" I cut through.
The crowd gasped. A old man spoke something in Japanese and cleared the guests.
Their was shocked looks from people.
Aries....Yuri....Keifer and Angelo.
Right old friends.
I walked up to Jay who was too still and hugged her. Tight.
"Jare-" Jeana's voice cut through.
"SHUT UP" I growled.
"P-percy....." Keifer voice stuttered
He looked at his old friends.
"So you guys did miss my handsome face! But pay to see this first!" Percy smirked.
I looked at Aries. Our brother. saw silent tears.
"Your alive?" Aries whispered.
Percy turned towards him.
"Questions are for later!" He said moving towards Angelo.

Author's pov:
Percy leaned into Angelo's ear and whispered.
"You know Mariano's are powerful yet you touch her? Tss. Didn't expect this!"
He stepped back and shoved a file to angelo.
Angelo stumbled back.
"J-jare" Jeana called out.
"Shut up! Not here!"
Jay snuggled into Jare. hands gripping him closer.
"This engagement is cancelled. I'm not letting Jay marry a rooster."
"I'm sorry what did you just called my grandson"
Jare smirked and walked up to Yumori hanamitchi and leaned.
"We are Mariano's. Mess with us. We mess you up. We burn you!" he whispered
This wasn't an information. this was a warning.
Percy looked around smirked, hugged jay and ran.
No one followed.
They were too shocked.
"FERNANDEZ MANSION NOW!" Jare yelled.
Angelo, gemma, Jeana, Tito Julz, Aries walked.
Fear is what it should be called!
Mia and Jare walked with Jay when her hand was caught by...
Keifer.
"Jay...can we talk?"
She looked at her brother. Who was about to burst.
Made a pout.
Jare looked away.
*At rooftop*
"Why are you doing this to me?" I asked seriously.
"Doing what Jay?"
"You are unpredictable keifer. You kiss me...flirt with me...keep teasing but you love someone else."

Jay's pov:
His expression turned serious
"I'm not flirty. You're just too dense to see what I'm trying to show you," he said, making my brows furrow.
"I'm not dense. I just don't want to assume — like what you're doing now. If I start thinking you like me and it turns out you don't… what then?"
"What if you think I like you… and it turns out you're right? What then?"
I froze. Is he confessing? to me?
"See… You're too scared to assume, even when the truth is right in front of you," he said with a smirk.
"You keep thinking I'm still in love with someone else, so you close your mind to the idea that I might really like you," he said, stepping closer.
I instinctively stepped back.
"W-why? Am I wrong?" I asked, trying to sound confident even though my voice stuttered.
"yes"
The answer was smooth.
"Stop thinking I'm still in love with someone else. Start thinking that I really like you — no, that I love you, to be exact."
My breath hitched.
"There's no more Ella," he said, making me turn back to him.
I lost my chance to respond. I never got to say the things I wanted to say. It felt like I had left my own body after hearing those words from him.
And it seemed I really had lost myself — because the next thing I knew....
I was deeply responding to his kiss...
We pulled away breathless.
It didn't matter. We kissed again.
It felt right.
One kiss turned to another. Two. three. four. five.
I lost count.
But I know one thing.....
I LOVE...HIM.
