Chapter 14 - ....

The music stopped, but the feeling didn't.

You stood there for a second longer than needed.

Junho was still smiling at you."You improved a lot today."

You nodded. "Thanks."

But your eyes… they didn't stay on him.

They moved.

First to Jimin.

Then to Taehyung.

Both of them were already looking at you.

And neither looked happy.

Practice ended slowly after that.

People started leaving in groups, talking, laughing.

You packed your bag quietly.

For some reason, you didn't feel like talking.

"Hey."

You looked up.

Jimin.

"You leaving?" he asked.

"Yeah."

"Wait, I'll come."

Before you could say anything, he picked up his bag and walked beside you.

No jokes this time.

No teasing.

You both walked out of the hall.

Silence followed.

"You didn't even look at me today," he said suddenly.

You blinked.

"What?"

"You were just… there," he continued, not looking at you."With him. Practicing. Laughing."

You frowned slightly.

"It's practice, Jimin."

"I know that."

"Then?"

He stopped walking.

You turned to face him.

"Then nothing," he said, but his tone didn't match.

You crossed your arms.

"Say it properly."

He looked at you now.

Finally.

"I didn't like it."

Silence.

"…Why?" you asked.

He let out a small breath.

"I don't know."

That answer felt more real than anything else.

"I just didn't," he added quietly.

You stared at him.

Trying to understand.

"You were fine with Ara," you said.

"That's different."

"How?"

He didn't reply immediately.

Then he said,"Because I wasn't… looking at her the way I was looking at you."

That made your heart pause.

You looked away first.

"…You're overthinking."

"Maybe," he said.

"But it didn't feel right."

Silence again.

Before it could go further—

another voice came in.

"You're still here."

You turned.

Taehyung.

He walked toward you both.

Calm. Normal. Like always.

But something in his eyes felt… sharper.

"We were just leaving," you said.

He nodded.

Then looked at Jimin.

"Practice tomorrow. Don't be late."

Jimin gave a short laugh."You're telling me?"

"I'm telling you," Taehyung replied simply.

That small exchange—

felt heavier than it should.

You stepped forward.

"Let's go."

All three of you started walking.

But again—

not like before.

Jimin was slightly ahead.

You in the middle.

Taehyung a step behind.

And no one was talking.

After a few steps, Jimin slowed down.

Now walking beside you.

Taehyung didn't move forward.

He stayed behind.

You noticed.

Of course you did.

"Are you okay?" you asked Jimin quietly.

"Yeah," he replied.

Then after a second—"Are you?"

You nodded.

"…I think so."

From behind—

Taehyung's voice came.

"You're still off in the lift."

You stopped.

Turned.

"Seriously?" you said.

He walked closer now.

"You bend too early," he continued.

"This is not the time."

"It is if you want to fix it."

You stared at him.

"Why do you care so much?"

The question slipped out.

Silence.

Jimin looked at both of you.

Taehyung didn't answer immediately.

Then he said,"Because you can do better."

That answer was calm.

Too calm.

You looked at him for a moment.

Trying to read more.

But there was nothing else on the surface.

"Let it go," Jimin said quietly.

Taehyung didn't respond.

You sighed.

"Can we just not do this right now?"

No one argued.

The walk continued.

A little later, the road split.

One path to your place.

One toward the main road.

You stopped.

"I'll go from here."

Jimin nodded.

"I'll text you."

Taehyung just said,"Don't forget to practice."

You gave him a look.

"…Goodnight."

Neither replied immediately.

You turned and walked away.

You didn't look back.

But behind you—

they both stood there for a second longer than needed.

Then Jimin spoke first.

"…You were watching her the whole time."

Taehyung didn't deny it.

"And you weren't?" he replied.

Jimin let out a quiet breath.

"That's not the point."

Taehyung looked ahead.

Where you had just disappeared.

"…Then what is?"

Jimin didn't answer.

Because he didn't know either.

And maybe—

that was the problem.

That night—

your phone buzzed.

Jimin:"You reached?"

A few seconds later—

Taehyung:"Practice the second part again."

You stared at both messages.

Same as always.

Different as always.

You typed slowly.

"I reached."

(to Jimin)

Then—

after a pause—

"I will."

(to Taehyung)

You locked your phone.

And lay back on your bed.

Staring at the ceiling.

"…This is getting worse."

But you didn't stop it.
