Chapter 11 - The Dangerous Game

"The most dangerous enemies don't attack openly…

They make you doubt the truth you're standing on."

The city moved like nothing had changed.

But for three people—Everything had.

Aanya had decided to leave.

Riaan was drowning in confusion.

And Meera…Was playing her most dangerous move.

Late evening. Riaan sat alone in his study.

The room was dark except for the faint light from his desk lamp. His thoughts were a mess.

Aanya's words echoed in his mind—

"I'm done."

A knock broke the silence.

"Come in."

Meera walked in. Soft smile. Calm expression. Perfectly composed.

"I heard she woke up," Meera said gently.

Riaan didn't respond. He just nodded.

Meera stepped closer.

"You still look troubled."

A pause.

Then she spoke carefully—

"As if you still… believe her."

Riaan's jaw tightened.

"I don't believe anyone blindly."

Meera smiled faintly.

"Good."

She placed her phone on the table.

"Then don't believe me either."

Riaan frowned.

"What is this?"

"See for yourself."

He picked up the phone. A video. His brother. Clearly emotional. Clearly broken.

And Aanya's voice— Saying something that sounded like rejection. Something cruel. Something final.

Riaan's grip tightened. His eyes darkened again.

"This… this is real?"

Meera sighed softly.

"I wish it wasn't."

Her voice carried just enough pain to feel genuine.

"I didn't want you to suffer more… but you deserve the truth."

Riaan stood up abruptly.

His emotions conflicted.Anger. Confusion. Pain. Everything mixed together.

Why does it still not feel right…?

But before he could think further—

Meera spoke again—

"Some people are very good at pretending, Riaan."

🌑 Meanwhile – Aanya

At the hospital corridor— Aanya sat beside the window. Her face calm.

But her mind sharp.

Advik stood in front of her, arms crossed.

"You're sure about this?" he asked.

Aanya nodded.

"Yes."

"I need access to the hospital records," she said.

Advik frowned.

"Why?"

"Because the accident wasn't just an accident."

Her voice lowered.

"It was planned."

Advik stared at her.

Shocked.

"You're saying someone—"

"—wanted this to happen."

A pause.

"And that someone… is closer than we think."

Later that night—

Advik secretly accessed old records.

Reports. Timelines.

Call logs.

Something felt… off.

Too many coincidences.

Too many gaps.

"Look at this," Advik said suddenly.

Aanya leaned closer.

A name. Repeated. Connected to multiple records. Their eyes met.

They both said it at the same time—

"Meera."

Back at the mansion— Meera stood in front of the mirror again.

Adjusting her earrings. Her reflection smiled back at her. Confident. Certain. Winning.

But somewhere—

In a hospital room—

The truth had taken its first step.

And this time—

It wasn't alone
