Chapter 12: Transferring to Class 9, relentlessly pursuing them

The next morning.

The air at Shrek Academy was slightly damp and cool.

Dai Huabin stood by the big tree downstairs in the freshmen dormitory building, carrying two beautifully packaged breakfasts in his hands.

His white school uniform was spotless, making him look even more upright.

A short while later, light footsteps could be heard from the stairwell.

Zhu Zhuqing walked out, her long black hair falling over her shoulders, the hem of her white school uniform skirt swaying gently with her steps.

A tall girl stood next to her.

The girl had striking long pink hair and her skin had a healthy rosy glow.

Her waist swayed as she walked, exuding a natural charm, especially her slightly pointed ears, which added a touch of liveliness.

"Hua Bin, have you been waiting long?"

Zhu Zhuqing took two quick steps and naturally stood next to Dai Huabin.

"Just arrived."

Dai Huabin handed over a portion of the breakfast he was holding.

Zhu Zhuqing blushed slightly as she accepted the gift and quietly introduced the girl beside her.

"This is my roommate, Cui Yajie."

Cui Yajie sized up Dai Huabin.

As the possessor of the Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit, her senses are extremely sharp.

The young man in front of her exuded a restrained sense of pressure, yet he acted like a gentle nobleman.

"I had heard that Lulu's fiancé was the young master of the White Tiger Duke's mansion. Seeing him today, Lulu is truly blessed."

Cui Yajie spoke with a cheerful smile, her voice sweet and clear.

"You're too kind. I'll have to ask you to take good care of Lulu in the dorm from now on." Dai Huabin's tone was friendly and he didn't put on airs.

"Of course, we're best friends."

As Cui Yajie spoke, she gave Zhu Zhuqing a playful look, but her hand obediently did not reach towards Dai Huabin.

The three were discussing where to get the rest of their breakfast.

Another commotion came from the stairwell.

A girl with long, light blue hair strode down the steps, followed by a little girl with green pigtails.

Wang Dong'er was wearing a well-tailored white Shrek Academy uniform skirt.

Her long, straight legs were partially visible beneath her skirt, and her long, light blue hair was almost dazzling in the morning light.

She was now so beautiful that she looked like a painting.

Xiao Xiao followed behind; the petite, adorable Xiao Xiao easily evoked a protective instinct in people.

Wang Dong'er spotted Dai Huabin under the tree at a glance. As if she had thought of something, she rushed over quickly.

She stopped in front of Dai Huabin, hands on her hips.

"Hey! You golden retriever, look carefully!"

Wang Dong'er twirled in front of Dai Huabin, her skirt fluttering.

"I've changed my clothes again, how is it? Do I still look the same as you said yesterday?"

Wang Dong'er spoke with her chin held high, as if to say, "Am I not beautiful?"

Xiao Xiao, standing nearby, curiously peeked out and stared at Dai Huabin.

"Wow, Dong'er, is this the perverted blondie you were talking about who bullied you?"

Xiao Xiao was straightforward, and her voice was exceptionally clear in the quiet morning.

Dai Huabin chuckled and ignored the label of "pervert".

"Yes, she is indeed beautiful. But not as beautiful as my Lulu."

After saying that, Dai Huabin affectionately put his arm around Zhu Zhuqing and showed off in front of Wang Dong'er.

Wang Dong'er froze on the spot.

She originally thought her outfit would be stunning and make that despicable blond pervert feel ashamed.

But Dai Huabin's gaze lingered on her chest for half a second before turning meaningfully to Zhu Zhuqing.

Although Zhu Zhuqing is only eleven years old, the physical improvement brought about by the Netherworld Cat Spirit makes her look much more mature than girls of the same age.

The form-fitting school uniform accentuated her full figure, making it even more striking.

In contrast, Wang Dong'er had always been habitually reserved in order to conceal her identity.

Standing in front of Zhu Zhuqing at this moment, she did indeed appear somewhat "plain and undeveloped".

"You! Where are you looking!"

Wang Dong'er's cheeks were burning hot, and she instinctively covered her chest with her hands.

She was both ashamed and angry, wishing she could give Dai Huabin a guillotine right now.

Dai Huabin shrugged and didn't reply.

He maintained the posture of putting his arm around Zhu Zhuqing's shoulder, his expression even somewhat languid.

This blatant disregard made Wang Dong'er feel like her carefully prepared "comeback debut" was a joke.

"Let's go, Xiao Xiao, let's go! Get away from this scoundrel!"

Wang Dong'er took Xiao Xiao's hand and walked out of the dormitory area without looking back.

Xiao Xiao stumbled as she was pulled, not yet realizing what was happening.

Before leaving, she glanced back at Dai Huabin and thought to herself, "This blond handsome guy looks quite serious, how did he manage to make Dong'er so angry?"

Just as Wang Dong'er pulled Xiao Xiao a few steps away, a small, thin figure emerged from the dormitory stairwell.

It was Huo Yuhao.

He was getting ready to go to the cafeteria for breakfast.

However, when he looked up and saw the scene under the tree, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the leaves, and Dai Huabin stood in the very center, his blond hair gleaming.

His left hand rested on the shoulder of a dark-haired beauty, while a pink-haired, charming girl stood to his right, smiling sweetly at him.

What made his heart clench even more was that not far ahead, the stunningly beautiful pink-blue-haired girl he had met once at the registration desk was staring at Dai Huabin with a resentful expression. Her expression didn't seem like disgust, but rather like she was sulking.

Huo Yuhao felt a surge of inexplicable anger rush to his head.

On what grounds?

Back in the White Tiger Duke's mansion, this man was the pampered young master, while he could only live in a leaky woodshed.

Now that he's at Shrek Academy, everyone is a freshman, and he's still all alone, while Dai Huabin is surrounded by beauties of this caliber.

That was a scene he wouldn't even dare to dream of, but for Dai Huabin, it was like an everyday occurrence.

Huo Yuhao gritted his teeth so hard that his nails dug into his palms.

He didn't go forward to provoke them because he knew he was too weak at the moment.

Huo Yuhao simply lowered his head, quickened his pace, and brushed past him like he was invisible.

Dai Huabin had actually noticed Huo Yuhao and could even sense the intense resentment emanating from him.

But he didn't even spare a glance for Huo Yuhao; Huo Yuhao wasn't worth his energy right now.

"Hua Bin, that freshman's gaze towards you was strange."

Zhu Zhuqing whispered a reminder, her keen senses having detected the sudden surge of hostility in Huo Yuhao.

"It's okay, don't worry about him."

Dai Huabin patted Zhu Zhuqing's hand.

"Lulu, there's something I need to tell you all first. I'm planning to apply to Class 9 of the freshmen program."

Zhu Zhuqing paused for a moment, staring at Dai Huabin with her bright black eyes for a while, but didn't ask why.

"Wherever you go, I'll go."

Cui Yajie, standing to the side, seemed puzzled. She tossed her long pink hair and spoke in a sweet, melodious voice:

"Hua Bin, I remember the class assignment list has already been posted, and the three of us are all in Class 5. Why do we want to go to Class 9, which is at the bottom of the rankings?"

In Shrek Academy's past class assignment logic, Class 9 of the freshmen is usually assigned according to the teacher's ranking.

Dai Huabin smiled but remained silent.

Class 9 has Ning Tian, the heir of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect who possesses the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda.

"The teacher in Class 5 is too rigid and not suitable for my cultivation plan."

Dai Huabin made up an excuse on the spot.

"As for teachers, at Shrek Academy, as long as you are strong enough, it doesn't really matter who teaches you."

Cui Yajie blinked, smiled, and took Zhu Zhuqing's arm:

"If Lulu leaves, it'll be so boring for me to stay in Class 5 alone. I'm going too!"

After discussing and agreeing on their plan, the three prepared to head towards the Academic Affairs Office.

Just then, Wang Dong'er, who hadn't gone far, also heard these words.

She pulled Xiao Xiao to a stop, turned around, and looked at Dai Huabin with some suspicion:

"Hey, what did you just say? Go to Class 9? You already know which class you're in?"

Dai Huabin stopped and glanced at her sideways:

"Wang Dong'er, aren't you being too lazy? The class assignment list has been posted on the bulletin board all morning."

After saying that, Dai Huabin led Zhu Zhuqing and Cui Yajie to continue walking forward.

"Stop!"

Wang Dong'er was already hatching a plan.

She came to Shrek Academy to gain experience; her elders said there were many geniuses here.

So far, apart from this annoying golden retriever, she hadn't seen anyone stronger.

If she lost this guy, who would she challenge in the future?

"Class 9, huh? Hmph, what's so great about it?"

Wang Dong'er raised her chin and said to Xiao Xiao, who was still in a daze:

"Xiao Xiao, let's switch to Class 9 too! There's definitely something fishy going on there. Let's go to Class 9 and beat him up, let him know who's in charge!"

Xiao Xiao opened her mouth, looking completely bewildered:

"Huh? But... Dong'er, I heard that the teaching environment in Class 9 is pretty average. And our admission letter says Class 1, and the teacher's name is Zhou Yi. I heard she's very strict, so we should be able to learn a lot, right?"

Wang Dong'er shrank back when she heard the word "strict".

She had already been disciplined enough at home; why would she want a strict teacher again? She wasn't a masochist.

"Oh dear, being strict doesn't mean you're capable! Let's go to Class 9, where there's more room for development."

While coaxing Xiao Xiao, Wang Dong'er called out to Dai Huabin's retreating figure:

"You damn blondie, just you wait! I'm going to be the class monitor of Class 9!"

Dai Huabin stopped, turned around, and gave a meaningful smile.

"Want to come? Then follow along. But Director Du Weilun isn't someone you can easily talk to. Without enough influence, he won't just transfer freshmen to different classes."

Wang Dong'er snorted and pulled out a shiny plaque from her bosom, waving it around:

"You don't need to worry about that. I have plenty of connections!"
